I always try to weasel in a Herglic into my Edge of the Empire games, that is an AMAZING build! Is it mostly Technic or system on the inside? The scene is really detailed, but it doesn't really strike me as Kashyyyk that strongly. Is it by a swamp? The micro ship and dock look slick, great job overall!

Love the Kubaz, they look great! Are you using the new binocular head from the friends sets, or the old regular binoculars? The detail is amazing, the plants coming up from the pathway tiles blows my mind. The pillars are stellar as well, and great use of the master splinter head, I assume it's the Bothan? What is the other minifig with the pointed ears?

I'm with everybody on the horn transition but I can't think of a way to do it better! I like the layered gotal clothing, it creates a great image. Like goatman said, you're a real pillar-killer! I love the smashed statue pieces and all the detail in the tree, vegetation, broken masonry, and the little memorials. Great build!

Tons of detail as always, looks great! I like that you varied the tiles for the walkway, the texture makes it much more interesting plus the pile of barrels and rock spire look great. I love Sauvax, it's not perfect but I think it's the best you could get with Lego. The triangle sign pieces for the armored back work well, but the pincers look a little anemic. I don't think you could beef them up much though. I'm also not a fan of the central face piece, maybe a cheese slope would be better for the mouth? Great build overall man, keep it up.

I like the causeway they're on, it's a nice small build! Is that supposed to be a heater in the background? Good job on the snogar.

[MOC] Dreadnaught Class Heavy Cruiser
DrMuttonchops replied to Brick-Wombat's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Holy cow dude, that is amazing. The only thing it's missing is the windows for the bridge! Stellar job on shaping, it looks perfect. The engines and weapon emplacement blisters are spot-on as well. Great Greebling as well, how many parts did you use? Is your Venator also at the same scale? I saw on your Flickr that you're not a fan of stickers, but there are printed Open Circle Fleet emblems as well! Part 4150px33, took me a while to find it.- 7 replies

Oh yeah for sure! They do add a lot of detail. :) Keep up the great work, man!

Hey man, very detailed build and great job overall. Could you use part 553c in trans-clear for the gun bubbles? Additionally, I feel like the ski pole pieces are too large, the chin and rear guns might be a little better when just the Technic pin tow ball part. Just my two cents, I really like your build overall! :)

Totally valid and I agree, but I'm sure from TLG's perspective Star Wars is much more of a seller, and will be for the foreseeable future.

Looks great man! Any closer shots? The massed droid ranks look pretty stellar. I'm not a huge fan of the Technic Hailfires, I know they're big droids but they just seem TOO big. The battlepack Hailfire would be way too small though! Great job on the ships and posing!

Hey Bjorn! Are the female Chiss made with Killer Frost's head? Are the eyes done in Photoshop or with paint? -
Another great ship Bob, I love the lines and shaping! It looks pretty solid, is it swooshable? I love the trans-blue hose, are the attached blue (azure?) boat tiles supposed to be fuel cells? The color really pops when compared to the rest of the ship, I like it. It would've been great to have a ship in the bricklink contest, I hope there's another one!

Looks amazing, stellar job on the detailed cockpit! I love the seat and the control panel. Colors, shaping, and the smoothness are all great, especially the studless underside! How similar is the frame to Jerac's?

Dyeing soft Lego parts?
DrMuttonchops replied to DrMuttonchops's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
@MAB, I purchased a Prismacolor PB-98 black alcohol marker from my local crafts store and put four coats on a white beard piece. The final product was glossier than the normal soft piece and not quite the same color as other black Lego parts. However, it's a decent enough facsimile! Here's a link to a small album with two additional photos if anyone is interested. -

Fantastic, thanks man! I have the beard piece in white, so I'll order those and give it a shot. I appreciate the help! -

I love the dynamic posing and the catwalk structure! Great job adding detail, the piping along the top by the viewport is a great touch, as is the grating with the trans blue pieces. I agree with Joe on the angling, it's a nice touch! Is Lt. Markland's hair black or dark brown? -
Hey guys! I was looking at dyeing the medium short beard, part 93223. All of the info I've found on recoloring or dyeing parts has to do with normal bricks. I figured starting with the white beard would be the best for taking color. Do you have suggestions on dyes, or how they react with the softer plastic? Thanks!

For sure! I do appreciate that they're filled with greebling, sorry if my comment seemed harsh! It's far superior to the official set without a doubt!
