So far I’ve only found a couple of items that are relatively expensive and most of those are not required in huge quantities. I have used BrickLink to set up essybuy just to calculate a rough idea of cost and I agree with brick marlin that £2000 is about right. However, I’m hoping that by tactical shopping at stores within the U.K. and choosing as many with free postage will reduce that figure considerably.

keep trying to log in, and it'll eventually let you get to the checkout, and pull the trigger! I used the paypal method so I could instantly check to see if it had been processed correctly as the Lego website is bug laden. good luck everyone

Are we saying that the Lego stores will have stock to sell on the 14th? I thought it was meant to VIP until the 1st October?

I too have a lot of misgivings regarding the engine design, almost deliberately obscured during the launch maybe. Not only are there no thrust vector plates, but to use the trans medium blue pipes on this scale is a tad unimaginative. Having said that, I think for the money it represents a worthy addition to the UCS line - about time too.
