  1. Absolutely gorgeous! Love it!
  2. Looks even more beautiful now the official pics are out. But still, still they insist on including stickers. Really LEGO? £219.99 and you give me stickers when a Juniors/4+ set gets printed pieces? For crying out loud...
  3. It's part of the guidelines on LEGO Ideas. Product Ideas related to the topics below do not fit our brand values and will not be approved for publication on LEGO Ideas. Politics and political symbols, campaigns, or movements Religious references including symbols, buildings, or people Sex, nudity, drugs, or smoking Alcohol in any present day situation Swearing or profanity Death, killing, blood, terrorism, horror, or torture First-person shooter video games Warfare or war vehicles in any modern or present-day situation, or national war memorials Large or human-scale weapons or weapon replicas of any kind, including swords, knives, guns, sci-fi or fantasy blasters, etc. Racism, bullying, or cruelty to real life animals They have recently added a slight disclaimer that "LEGO Ideas maintains an even stricter policy than the rest of the LEGO Group" but there's still a massive inconsistency in what LEGO says they won't produce sets about and what they actually do. As the examples given by Feng-huang0296 and Lucarex only serve to highlight.
  4. He didn't die. He just got turned into a ghost... Usually the most efficient way to become a ghost is to die, right? I jest, but by definition ghosts are dead people. It's so funny that LEGO tried to tiptoe around the dying part but still have a character become a ghost!
  5. 100 per cent! Knowing any designs would be guaranteed to be prints rather than stickers was one of my favourite aspects of the Ideas theme. Seems that's most certainly a thing of the past now.
  6. I've just discovered this! That's amazing. I have a few Ninjago sets but never got into the cartoon series. It's so funny that they killed off a main character and had him as a ghost for a couple of seasons but LEGO claim they don't like to have anything related to death...
  7. I never picked up the Fishing Store so didn't realise that. I did get the Big Bang Theory set but completely forgot it had two stickers in there! Still, traditionally, Ideas sets I've always seen as more of a premium product, with printed pieces as much a guarantee as they are in Juniors / 4+ sets. The Friends set had some printed pieces but a pretty hefty sticker sheet and now the Dinosaurs set has no new printed pieces and just stickers. Makes me sad...
  8. Same! I love that it takes nods from lots of different franchises and properties. I do wonder if Inside the Hidden Side might wander too close to Stranger Things' Upside Down though...? That's gotta be too dark for LEGO! I think he'll just get stuck temporarily in the Ghost World / Hidden Side.
  9. Yeah, the entire theme is like a mashup of Scooby-Doo, Stranger Things and Real Ghostbusters.
  10. Yeah, it's great to be getting more colours of that cap/hoodie piece. I love the leaked one for the Ninjago character as well. Will probably use it for a custom Jack figure down the line. Interesting, maybe Inside the Hidden Side it's red for the dead! And blue for the... *scrambles to think of a word for living that rhymes with blue* goo?
  11. I suspect this one is from the Inside the Hidden Side set. Almost makes me think it's gonna be the theme's equivalent to the Upside Down from Stranger Things... (not the set, just the idea of an alternate dimension existing in parallel to the human world that favours a blue colour scheme)
  12. Sorry if this has already been discussed. But is anyone else gutted that we're now seeing stickers instead of printed pieces in Ideas sets?
  13. Yeah, I just checked out the website that he links to in his review video of the GL minifig and they say in the description, comes as shown, assembled. If this were a case of just a retailer selling them before the shelf date then they would been coming in the retail packaging, unassembled and with the checklist. This is definitely dodgy!
  14. Love the new hair and headphones piece for Parker and nice to get some more expressions. She is my favourite character from the theme so far. Would have been better to have gotten a new costume as well though!
  15. I've watched the review of the Simon Baz minifigure. I was expecting to see some footage of the packet and checklist. Maybe even an opening. The absence of this makes me wonder just how legally these minifigures were sourced by the seller...
  16. I saw that. Looks amazing! I kinda wish that all the minifigures came with a printed tile of the comic they're based on though. That would have been ace!
  17. 100%! There are so many LEGO video game minifigure designs I would love as physical minifigs.
  18. Bat-Mite looks fantastic! So glad he got a new cowl piece with the bent ear. Wish he had mid-sized legs though.
  19. - Joker looks great. That hairpiece in green is awesome even if it isn't really that accurate for the comic appearance it's based on. But now we can make some epic Arkham Joker custom minifigures! - Not massively impressed with the Supes fig - although I'm thankful that he's coming with the soft fabric cape as opposed to the scratchy paper ones they've reverted back to recently. - Jay Garrick, very happy to finally be getting this character! The helmet looks a little big but I guess it fits the LEGO style. As a massive DC fan I'll be getting the complete series and maybe a few spares. But man oh man, I feel like this series has wasted so many opportunities. There are some great choices and fantastic looking minifigures here. But so many more interesting characters could have been chosen (e.g. Doctor Fate, Booster Gold, Power Girl, etc) and the lazy reuse of existing pieces and prints in some of these figures is even more disappointing.
  20. Yeah I could have worded that better, sorry. Simon Hurt did drug Batman, I just meant that he wasn't drugged up seeing Bat-Mite. I love Batman R.I.P. so much. I think a re-read may be overdue! Are there actually any photos of the last 4 up anywhere yet by the way?
  21. I forgot about that. That would actually be pretty cool as a physical minifig, especially if they did a new cowl piece with the bent ear. I'd hope they'd give us mid-sized legs but I suspect they will use the short ones.
  22. Yeah, I got that. I was just being playfully facetious. *puts on geek hat* Batman wasn't actually drugged in R.I.P. Bat-Mite appeared as an extension of his back up personality - The Batman of Zu-En-Arrh - after Bruce succumbed to a psychological attack.
  23. Um... To be fair though, like most comic characters there are a fair few different interpretations of him. This was just my fave and my personal head-canon.
  24. Yeah, the DKR is meant to a much older Joker and I think the dog trainer hairpiece would make him look too youthful personally. Think I'm gonna stick with my original choice for this version of the character. Altogether now... *I will go down with this ship...*
  25. Yeah, if anything I'd say the Stud Muffin / Professor Flitwick hair in green would be perfect for a DKR Joker!
