Love the Classic Cyborg and First Appearance Batman. Like a few other people I would have preferred Huntress to have a moulded mask and hair piece but she still looks pretty cool and will go nicely with the Black Canary minifig from TLBM series 2 for some JLU nostalgia!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this will be the case. Characters that will coincide with other media events (like Crisis on Infinite Earths, Birds of Prey, etc) but ultimately they will all be based on their comic appearances.

Just come on here to suggest the possibility of a Kingdom Come Supes minifig after seeing the first official pics of Brandon Routh's return to the cape!

Anyone else think this set should have a secret compartment with a pirate downloading illegal software on his computer as a nod to that other famous Pirate Bay of days old? In all seriousness though, this is fantastic news! I hope the LEGO Designers do a good job with this. Something in the calibre of the LEGO Ideas Treehouse please.

Never played Overwatch in my life but I love the character designs. I've resisted picking up any of the sets so far (the awful Mercy minifigure helped), but the Wrecking Ball and Roadhog sets are really tempting me...

I need to see me these pics of Doctor Fate and Red Tornado minifigures! For the guaranteed Batman or Superman, Red Son is a good shout. The animated movie of that comic is out around the time of this series' release. And like with the CW Crisis crossover, whilst I don't expect an official tie-in, I wouldn't be surprised if they do a character or two from the source material to coincide (cash in) with its relevance at the time.

In all fairness, both the Harry Potter and Jurassic World new waves were on sale a week after launching on several sites in the UK last year. It's probably just the usual build-up to Christmas toy sales.

Considering how much they're hyping up Crisis on Infinite Earths and the timing of this CMF series releasing coinciding with that, I'd be very surprised if we didn't get comic versions of some of the characters appearing in the crossover.

Yeah, the LEGO Batman Movie made money but didn't it also under-perform against the studio's expectations? I'm sure it made a lot less than the original LEGO movie. Which must have been disappointing for WB, because this one had the added advantage of having the Batman pull behind it. With the fallout of both the LEGO Ninjago Movie and the LEGO Movie 2 I kinda feel like the LCU is dead now. I think the biggest mistake was releasing the actual direct sequel 5 years after the first. It lost its relevancy. Plus, making a movie based on a theme that has a massive fanbase and completely ignore the established canon probably didn't help. They alienated their core audience whilst giving newcomers little to be enticed by. *cough*LEGO Ninjago Movie*cough* One thing that really bugged me about TLM2 is that they carried over Alfred and mentioned him having a stand-alone adventure. In his first appearance he says something about everyone leaving him and then later its established he is lonely. Kinda just washes away the entire character arc he went through in TLBM with finding and accepting a new family... If we got another Lego Batman Movie would we now have to have Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi in it as his wife??? Sorry, went a bit off track there....

Interesting if these set names turn out to be true, then it means they're sticking to Newbury as the location for Hidden Side Year 2. I was hoping for (and expecting) more of a global expansion with the kids going on a school trip and encountering different spooks and spectres around the world... Maybe we'll get that if they make a Year 3?

As a massive DC fan, I am super excited about this series! The Stargirl and Metamorpho minifigs look brilliant. I can take or leave Simon Baz, as I'm not overly keen on the character. But I'll probably pick up a couple of him anyway, just to kit out my existing GL's with those sweet new accessories. Sinestro is fine but feels like a bit of a wasted spot, since we've already had the character before. Personally, I'd love to see Huntress, Doctor Fate, Zatanna and Booster Gold minifigures in this series! This is an interesting move by LEGO though. Typically outside the main trinity, DC characters aren't viewed as being as popular as Marvel characters with the general public. Thanks mainly to the X-Men movies and MCU. That being said DC has been very successful on the small screen and the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths is sure to make a big impact, right around the time this series will be released. Coincidence...?
