I hope it's okay to share this here. I just bought and reviewed DemonHunter Bricks' Luke's Lightsaber (Return of the Jedi) LEGO replica set. It costs £49.99 in the UK from their site with free postage. They email you a pdf file of the instructions and then ship you the parts by post. Would love to know if any other LEGO Star Wars fans on here have bought any of their sets. I've also bought Han's Blaster (DL-44) and will be reviewing that soon in a separate video.

100% Especially as they take up a third or more on the front of the box and then are listed alongside the actual minifigures on the top.- 40 replies

Yeah, the one advertised in next month's magazine just looks like Joey as well, but they haven't named her as such... So I guess it might just be a simple head transplant to make a "different" character.- 40 replies

I somehow ended up with two Aquaman and three Bumblebee on my first run... Probably my two least favourite in the series and ones I was only getting one each of to complete the series. -

Oh yeah, totally agree. But it would be really cool to get something like Newbury Fort with some Pirates and Soldiers as ghosts. There's some pictures of it in my review of the latest issue below. Colonel Vendette would make an epic bigfig as well!- 40 replies

Which GWP is that? I've only seen the Hidden Side stunt cannon polybag promo that comes with a skeleton El Fuego. As cool as that would be, I can't see LEGO going anywhere near anything with religious significance like that.- 40 replies

Thanks for sharing my idea @Digger of Bricks ! I'm working on the next video in that series. Two things I'd definitely love to see in future waves would be JB with her googles down and a new variant for Spencer (ideally him growling/snarling).- 40 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Cut the Kragle replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think he meant Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi vs Vader, as in their duel on the Death Star in A New Hope. As for the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, my money is on a Dark Rey minifigure... -

Hope it's okay to post here, but I have reviewed the Mandalorian battle pack if anyone fancies a peek. Spoilers: I really like the set! But yeah, I'm only about half way through the series and there definitely should be a Razor Crest set with a certain baby fig... -
LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Cut the Kragle replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The January 2020 Star Wars sets seem to have released early in the UK. My local LEGO store had them on December 26th. -
America doesn't even get these magazines as far as I'm aware...

No idea how I missed this! That's brilliant! Someone at LEGO is obviously a fan, as the Sushi Chef from the Ninjago Movie CMF series was a blatant homage to Hattori Hanzō.

LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Cut the Kragle replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It's confirmed as being in the "Deep South" in the first issue of the comic. Louisiana seems the main inspiration. But it is of course a fictional city though, taking a lot of creative license. My original post was in reply to a comment saying Newbury was set in Florida. -
Another point that no one seems to be pointing out, is that even if you don't mark your videos as "Made for Kids", technically you're not breaking the law. I mean the law in question, COPPA, is specifically about the collecting of data about children without the parents consent. So even if creators fail to mark their video as "Made for Kids" and children's data is collected, it's not the creators that are collecting the data. It's YouTube! So whilst YouTube request that we mark whether our videos are "Made for Kids" or not, even if we don't, it's not us as the creators breaking the law. As far as I'm aware the actual COPPA law hasn't been changed (which is part of the problem, because it was passed in 1999 and is seriously outdated), so it hasn't been expanded to cover anyone else than the person or persons / company that are doing the actual data collection. How are they going to prosecute people for breaking a law when they haven't? I've been reading up about some creators that have been having talks with the FTC about this and the general consensus seems to be that FTC have no clue how YouTube works and is under the impression that creators are more involved in the process than we really are.

Newbury is meant to be in the "Deep South" not Florida. So more like Louisiana. -
Thing is, I get that COPPA, a US law, applies to all content published on YouTube as that is where the company is based, where their servers are, etc, but the FTC has zero authority outside the US. So whilst they could get YT to take down videos or remove your channel completely - I struggle to see how they could enforce a $42,000 fine on someone in a different country...

Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed comment! Whilst I get your point about Hidden Side sets having a transformation feature that turns objects into monsters, almost half of the sets don't actually feature anything like that besides the switching of headpieces. And in some of the sets that do, it's as little as just flipping up a rock piece to reveal a face. That said, I could see Baba Yaga's hut having a feature that transforms it from a more inconspicuous-looking cottage being pretty cool! Personally, I feel like Hidden Side is very reminiscent of the Real Ghostbusters toys and cartoons. And even though busting ghosts was in their name, the show, toys and lots of other merchandise saw them encounter everything from werewolves and vampires to even the Boogeyman! Hidden Side is at the moment purely about battling ghosts in Newbury, but for the theme to continue I feel it has to evolve and expand beyond that. With the shorts and comics building towards a big bad, this could almost be seen as the first season of Hidden Side. TV series' often stick to one tried and tested formula for the first season whilst they establish themselves and then explore new ideas in the second season. I'd love for Hidden Side to do the same and become an almost X-Files for kids!

I hope it's okay to post this here. I wanted to share with you my idea for a LEGO Hidden Side subtheme or expansion. It's already been confirmed that we will be getting a second wave of LEGO Hidden Side sets in 2020. If the rumours are to be believed, these sets will again be focused on the town of Newbury and its continued hauntings. Whilst I'm looking forward to more Hidden Side sets. I am a little disappointed that LEGO aren't expanding the theme further afield. I'd love to have see Hidden Side go international and encounter ghosts and goblins and other pesky polterguiests across the globe! What if Parker and Jack went on an international field trip with the school and ended up encountering creatures and characters from different countries myths and legends? I've made two videos based on ideas for LEGO Hidden Side World Tour so far. I'd love to know what people think!
