  1. Indeed - I have a sneaky suspicion that whatever the item, someone quickly picked it up for an unknown reason. Unless security plans to do a "pat-down", we will not know what the item is until a later time. Outside, you will see the most beautiful dark waters, but don't let the beauty hide the fact that the waters around these parts are infested with a wide-variety of sharks.
  2. I really don't think you'll find anything, aside from maybe some old chewing gum. (please don't let them find all the customer comment cards that I never bothered to turn in)
  3. Okay - nevermind. I just saw the part about the docking of the ferry. I was sort of waiting for the "Hector drives the bus onto the ferry..." part. Must be my mental state.
  4. Say what? Given the fact that many want to lynch the tour guide who has been quite active so far, I'd say that I'm holding up quite well. This is definately the most rude group of tourists that I have encountered on a MOTEE tour. I'm about ready to let you all loose with the guns and knives and let you beat up each other instead of me. I'm just a participant w/ little or no information more than what you know. On another point, did I miss the part about the bus driving onto the ferry? I thought we were still on our way to the ferry. I'll have to go back and catch up on some of the reading.
  5. (slapping Tattoo Hector on the back of the head) That's JOHNSON, not Jackson. If you keep it up, I'm going to start calling you Pedro. On a more related note, I have a sneaky hunch that this bus is heading for MYSTERY, and one of us may be a target for a most sinister MURDER. (ominous foreshadowing music plays in background) Does anyone have any more questions about Devil's Island or our mysterious passengers? (dynamically moves towards the bathroom)
  6. Nope - definately said Ferry (at least the first time).
  7. Oh, I love it. Thanks for sharing. I don't believe I had ever seen this before. Very neat commercial.
  8. good eye
  9. Don't forget fun lov'n fairies. EDIT: oh, and coy boys too.
  10. I for one don't trust any of you folks with knives -let alone plastic untensils. You'd be forming a lynch mob in no time, and I'm afraid your favorite Tour Guide may be first to be lynched. Good thing we're not playing one of those EB Mafia games. Ouch! That is a good question for him though. What say you Chris?
  11. Yay for Trains! That yellow Euro-style diesel engine looks really interesting. Also, check out the containers. Sweet! I'm wondering what kind of power system will they have? PF? R/C? In any case, looks like we've got some great sets coming out.
  12. Interesting read Richie. I had a few of the ResQ sets, which I reviewed right here in Train & Town - it was a neat theme. I think this deserves a front-page blog!
  13. Narrow Escape! Hurricane Causes Many Troubles, Victim Count Unknown! These are just some of the headlines from Town fan Richie's recent article, The History of Res-Q, Story of Heroes. Read more about it in the Trains & Town forum.
  14. So Hector, are we getting close to the ferry?
  15. Ungrateful tourists! Here at MOTEE Tours, our customers come first. If memory serves me correct, you purchased the El Cheapo Eclipse Deluxe Package. What more do you want? - you're lucky this bus even runs cheap wad. We'll now be making a short pitstop at the nearest rest stop (quicksand pit) for any of you who might want to stretch your legs (get off this bus and try calling the 1-800-MOTEE Customer Care Line and hope they answer). (Puts down microphone and walks over to Jack nonchalantly) You call me boy one more time BOY, and this here cowboy hat comes back on right before I pistol whip you. Put that in your book of complaints and we'll throw it in the river along with anyone else who thinks about giv'n me hell over this dang eclipse tour. That'll be enough from all of you. (spits some tobacco on floor) I'll take one more question now...
  16. Then there's the stories about the ruins of Phasma Diabolus or "Demon Spirit". Whenever there is a lunar eclipse over Devil’s Island, strange noises and shapes are reported in the jungle surrounding the ancient temple. I will tell you more of these stories as we get closer. Hector believes in these stories, and WE don't want to scare him now, do we? The last thing we want is for our bus to go over the side of a cliff.
  17. As a "small addition" to his fabulous Gantry Signal, LEGO Train fan Nexus7 creates this impressive Train Station. His creation even has a working signal with a Power Functions motor.
  18. Many died slowly as they sank in quicksand, some stepped onto mud slides where they slid to their deaths over ravines, while others were captured and tortured by local Indian tribes. :skull: However, some say that there are treasures to still be discovered within these dense jungles, like pearls of priceless value.
  19. (Makes the sound of phone ringing into microphone) Ring... Ring... Hello. (pause). It's for Red. Seems someone wants to know what mysterious reason she's here for. (calls upon other tour customers) Who else wants to know what Red means when she says "sort of"? Seriously, the jungles of these parts are nothing to take lightly. A wrong step can mean sudden death. :skull: On that note, please keep all hands and feet inside the bus while moving. Once outside, please stay on paved areas at all times. We wouldn't want anyone to end up like some of the prisoners did during their escape from Devil's Island.
  20. (taps on microphone) Is this thing still on? Devil's Island is a most remote and dangerous place. The dense jungles nearby are filled with quick sand and the waters that guard it are infested with sharks. Lucky for us, we know a safe route. Is everyone ready for some Adventure? (All remain silent) I said, IS EVERYONE READY FOR SOME ADVENTURE? Stop writing! Fred: please add pens to the list of contraband. EDIT: and pencils.
  21. That would depend on Hector's driving. Hector, how soon will you get us there? Sit back and I'll share some facts about Devil's Island with you: Devil's Island, or as the French say, Île du Diable is the smallest and most northern island of the three Îles du Salut located about 6 nautical miles off the coast of French Guiana. It was a small part of the notorious French penal colony in French Guiana. During its existence as a penal colony (1884-1946), more than 56,000 prisoners were transported to French Guiana from France. Of this number, almost one-fourth returned to France. Many of those who evaded death in the jungle camps did so by escape, a feat that became increasingly difficult as the years passed. If you look outside the right side of the bus, there's one of the prisoners now. (just kidding).
  22. (whispers to Hector) Keep an eye on that one. The last thing we need is another Heleanor on one of our tours. If she turns in anything at the end, just shit can it and tell her that her feedback is important to us.
  23. REPEAT: (strange ominous music and a flash of lighting booms from the sky). (points to this bullet inparticular and looks at Hector) Do you want to tell Red or shall I call Fred. (Begins calling Fred...)
