  1. The Cylons prepare for their attack against the last battlestar, Galactica. See Legostein recreate the onslaught with his two latest minis, a Cylon Base Star and Golden Cylon Raider.
  2. You know, I was thinking of adding Motorcycle to the list right after finalizing the poll, but didn't. I've added and adjusted the poll accordingly.
  3. Thanks for sharing Sandy. The transportation set looks interesting.
  4. From (A)irplanes with first class seating to a (W)illoughby-destined train, what type of LEGO City vehicle set do you like best? Another fun EB Town Forum topic...
  5. This is pretty nice Benny. I've never seen a cable repair loco before, so this creation is certainly unique. Looks like it has some interesting features and details. I hope you don't mind, but I've spruced up your photo a bit for the front-page.
  6. Train fan Benny shares his Hong Kong Cable Repair Locomotive that is certainly the vehicle needed to provide maintenance for his Hong Kong railway.
  7. Previously blogged on Classic-Town but quite deserving of some front page EB attention is Town fan Teddy's Post Office & Cafe. This outstanding modular creation is packed with details. To see more, click below.
  8. Interesting topic. I had considered placing some of the Aqua Raiders sets in an aquarium some time ago, but I didn't want to damage/scratch the LEGO securing them in aquarium gravel. Chemicals would be my other concern. Nice images Sieg. Sorry to hear that you lost your large Oscar.
  9. Have any of you ever heard of a Pizza Display? I stumbled upon this creative concept recently as I was browsing different hobby train layouts. I love the idea of making a two-level display, and all one would need is space for a small oval of track and a circle on top. The challenge would be to build that second layer. A tunnel and some building facades would cover the 2nd level riser quite well. Custom backgrounds like some sky, desert, forest, etc. might also make a nice addition. What are your thoughts regarding a Pizza Display for LEGO Trains?
  10. Interesting build. I was expecting some sort of little red DB shunter, and instead it's a rail tractor. One could use this for clearing the cows off the track while they're waiting for the new Toy Story Western Chase cow catcher piece. Clever little creation!
  11. Modular building fan Marcosbessa introduces a new LEGO modular, Villa Maison:
  12. Interesting thought Cap'n Z. I did not consider that a a new Cow Catcher piece would eliminate the creativity of those making brick-built designs. At the same time, the piece is very unique and specialized. This is one piece that I've always wanted to see LEGO offer, especially for a more basic-style builder like myself. While red definitely works, the same piece in black would have probably been my first choice though. Red is still a good color for a more colorful Wild West Steam Train. Thanks Rick . I must admit that preliminary pictures of this Toy Story Train was part of my motivation for building my latest creation, although I've always wanted to build a Steam Train worthy of a few wagons. Great discussion with some really interesting thoughts. I applaud LEGO's efforts to offer a Wild West Steam Train. From the movie perspective, this will appeal to kids for the characters, but for train fans (especially Western fans), this has a lot of appeal (at least for me). I think it was WhiteFang who mentioned that the train has a Classic Lego Train look/feel, and I tend to agree. It's definetely NOT an Emerald Night for the advanced train builder, but it has a toyish appeal for fans of Classic Lego Trains - but of the American variety as opposed to the old DB/European trains. I am wondering how to power this little guy for some future Wild West train robbery action.
  13. This is the first image I've seen of the five buildings all placed side-to-side . I'll have all except for Market Street. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to "capping off" the opposite end of the Cafe Corner. Looks great!
  14. Nice details Tom. Looks like these two settlers have the provisions needed for their long trip. I like the use of the faithful brown cows to pull the wagon. The side barrels are a nice touch. Also, nice use of the Indy tarp (but the wagon does seem a bit square). - still, I like it. Front-paged!
  15. It was a long and weary journey along the Oregon Trail as American settlers made their way out west. Tom Bricks recreates a vehicle used to accomplish the perilous undertaking.
  16. LegoLyons shares his latest retro creation in the Sci-Fi forum, a scene from the classic series, Flash Gordon:
  17. Red and blue never looked so good as it does in ZueriHB's LDD-rendered Re 450 S-Bahn Zurich. You can check out ZueriHB's revised version and other trains inside Train Tech.
