Three of five 12" were released on Apr 2: Grievous, a Clone Trooper, and Darth Sidious. Grievous is probably the best of the figs (although the Clone Trooper is nice too). I believe two more figs were released but I haven't found them yet. They sell fast and stores only get a few of each at any one time.

Very nice Flail. I admire anyone who can build like this. I also like your choice of classic castle for your avatar as well. That was a great little set! Welcome.

I quit collecting small figures, but I did buy some of the 12" figures as well as a few exclusives. My closets are just getting too full.

PS. Maybe interest in Lego is more accepted in Europe due to popularity, but American children seem to be expected to be adults so fast. I like to see children remain children as long as they can- and if that means playing, then it's nice to see.

I purchased a Duplo Bob the Builder Set once as a gift and a sassy cashier asked me if it was for me (being serious). It was worse than buying a city set for myself. At least with SW, the cashiers know that the SW collectors buy anything Star Wars related- they expect it. I didn't feel as bad on April 2 (even though while many collectors were plundering through carts of small figures, I was checking out the Lego).

This is a beautiful mod. Very nicely done.

It even has a toilet! Overall, I still think this is the best SW model I've purchased. There's always room for improvement, but this is a great set!

Very nice mods. I esp. like the interior and cockpit (hall and lounge). I truly wish I had a fraction of this ability.

If you enjoy it, then there's nothing wrong with it (even Clickits). I'm trying to be funny, but I'm glad I've got someone to buy for. I always have an excuse.
-
I hope to never find out. I'm embarrassed enough about buying Lego at my age, let alone Clickits.

Well I may forget about the Infiltrator based on all of your comments. I saw it several years ago on many clearance shelves and didn't buy it because I thought it looked way too "blocky"; only until now, do I have an interest in it because I like Darth Maul. I think that the possibility for Lego reproducing some of the older sets as well as making new classic sets are endless. I would never have guessed that they would pick a sandcrawler of all things to make (didn't think this was very popular for SW fans which goes to show they could do anything). What I'd really like to see is some bases/scenes (like Hoth, Endor, or Imperial Shuttle Bay), where one could land some ships. Some fig packs would be nice too and would only require new packaging.

I both enjoy reading the reviews as well as posting them on Brickset, esp. when contemplating if I should buy a set or not. I don't waste time reviewing sets I don't like (ie. Bionicle and other newer themes). I rate sets I own and after I build them. I think the majority of reviews are of quality and done by enthusiasts. One gets out of Brickset what he/she contributes. The one thing I never understood; however, is the rating/scoring. They never average if you add up the scores (even when you drop the low and high)?

The cockpit is loose, and the figs just barely have a place to sit. I like the detailed window though. The ship was fun to build. I've made an Imperial Shuttle Bay on a bookshelf covered in photo quality pictures designed in Power Point (with some real pictures of Ties for viewing screens) - didn't come out so bad (at least to my standards). I've got a small army of imperial troopers marching along. Now my next ship (probably from E-Bay), might be a Sith Infiltrator (probably not the best model), but I've always wanted one. Anyone out there have it?

I picked up a Falcon today! Well worth the money. This truly is an excellent model. The ship is sturdy, nicely detailed and has a lot of neat extras (ie. the removable escape pod, lowering ramp, small front-end cargo compartment, central laser turret, and the snowtrooper w/ laser cannon. It took me well over three hours to build (probably more but I took a few breaks and lost track of the total time). Just a few things that would have made the model better: The cockpit is very small and Han & Chewie have to be placed in just right to attach the clear cover. The central laser turret round-cover piece would have been nicer clear or with pre-printed designs (vs. stickers). No secret cargo compartment inside to hide the figs. The escape pod cover is too plain w/out the use of the stickers (a partial clear top would have been nice). None of the figs have guns. No R2 and Luke. As always, needs more Troopers. Overall, this is a very nice set. I'm looking forward to recreating some battles with my few Storm/Snow troopers. This set puts the AT-AT to shame. Thanks to all of you for recommending. This is probably my favorite SW model. :)

I've been waiting for it to go on sale. Amazon offered it at (I think 20% off) some time ago, but when I went back to order, the sale had ended. I just hate blowing $100 + tax. Target still has them here in the US as well as the Internet sites (even free shipping without tax would do it for me at this point). I've been watching the set since Christmas. Maybe I'll just order from SAH and be glad that I got one (even at full $).

I like to keep the boxes for storage. I had many sets from the 80s that are now in bags in one large box. Don't like to store them this way, plus it's easier to find the set I'm looking for.
-
Appreciate the tip. Thanks. I'm running out of room from all the boxes (esp. the larger sets).

I'm not crazy about the drooping wings but the detail of the model make up for it. I also like the color combination- nice contrast between the colors.
-
That would be a nice set as well. Maybe now that we saw quite a few Hoth/Empire sets, Lego will be returning to Tatooine. How do you like the new Falcon (4504)? I don't have one and have been debating. I also think Cloud City is a neat set.
-
Too much. This set isn't on my high want list but I was looking forward to another large classic SW model. If it was the inside of a Death Star, Hoth Base, or Endor Tree House, then it would be a different story, but at $150, probably won't be buying. A small pack of jawas and a few droids would do nicely for me.

I finally built the ARC-170 that I had purchased a few weeks ago. This is truly a nice model. If any of you are contemplating buying this set, I would highly recommend it. Building the set was a lot of fun, esp. trying to figure out how the center gear would lift the wings. I very much like the main cockpit which opens on all sides. The wings are not the sturdiest, but still nice. And the overall detail is what I like the most about the set - not to forget the three clone pilots. This is definately my favorite of the Episode III sets.
-
Looking forward to seeing this set and the figs/jawas. I just hope it doesn't have a $100 + price.

AFOL including myself have to realize that these are still TOYS. When they stop becoming toys intended for children first, then that will be a sad state of affairs. I think overall, Lego does a pretty good job at providing a balance to the various markets. Sure, I'd like to see more trains, city, and detailed Star Wars sets, but we're only one part of the market and should understand that LEGO is a toy company.

I'm not up with the latest SW news. Is there a picture?

I could easily see Lego building this as a future set.
