Murder on the Lego Express Part 2
WesternOutlaw replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Xwingyoda goes back to the safe deposit boxes to attempt a few more combinations. He tries 934, 346, and 464. They do not work. You go to Guest Services to seek out the train manager who you meet for the first time to answer some of your questions. He introduces himself as Mike Lall, Operations Manager of Lego Express. He thanks you for your help in this investigation and working with Pete Falklin, the Security Officer. To answer your question, "Rosa was an employee of our train line long before I started; well over ten years now. She was a very pleasant woman, but quiet and very religious. We have no idea why someone would have a motive to kill her. Have you discovered anything during your investigation"? -
I went with the Barracuda (but the Schooner is close). I like the red/white sails better (which you could use a a naval or merchant ship as well). What I most like is the tail end of this ship with the yellow bricks and classic windows. It would be great to see them do battle.

I have both and although I like the colors of the BNSF, I think the Super Chief is still a better model. I particularly like the removable roof with detailed engine compartment which the BNSF lacks. In addition, I think it's neat how Lego did the first 10,000 numbered sets (esp if you got one).

Akkhraziel and XWingYoda remind Bloody Jay that they've searched Rosa's room already. from a previous post: Akkhraziel and XWingYoda go inside the room while you watch from the doorway. The room is quite ordinary but there is a small closet where the housekeeper kept her clothes, shoes, and a few personal belongings. On the upper shelf is a sweater that you pick up, discovering a small jewelry box that the sweater was covering. You place the jewelry box on the bed and open it. The box contains some lipstick, a hairbrush, a few dollars, a rosary, a thick gold bracelet with the initials I.F., and some small prayers written in Spanish. Aside from these items, the room is empty. -
It's huge. I'm curious how big Lego's will be.

Xwingyoda, BloodyJay, The Brickster, and Sarg Kulo attempt to find the "train manager" to answer this question. Before reaching Guest Services, you run in to the Security Officer who you decide to ask. "Most of our passengers boarded the train during our inital departure from London. Snefroe was a member of this initial group of passengers. We checked this out though and the last time his room was used was last month by a young German newlywed couple by the name of Joseph and Inge Gramann", he answers. The Security Officer also tells, "you must assure me that you will conduct your investigation quietly and with minimum disruption to our guests and staff. Very few people know what has occured and it is critical that you do not alarm others in any way. If our passengers or staff start hearing about these murders and your investigation, the negative publicity could put our train line out of business. Now let me leave you, Poirot is on tonight". -

As you stand within the last car with the door open breathing the fresh Alpine air, the sun goes down quietly while an older woman dressed in housekeeper attire approaches you. She says, "My name is Maria, I was friend to Rosa. I think she was shot because she saw something she was not suppose to. He give her gift to keep her quiet. She was going to tell me after her shift, but he kill her before. He is malvado, a diablo *devil* . You must find him and stop him before he do this again. I must go now". Maria leaves the car abruptly and you are left with yet another clue. What is the gift she speaks of... -
A face-off between two of Lego's most detailed train engines. Which do you think is a better model? The Santa Fe Super Chief (or) the Burlington Northern Santa Fe locomotive
-
A boxcar would be nice as well.

Akkhraziel asks that you follow him toward the end of the train were there is an open railing. You make your way through many train cars to finally reach the last car. A small door is at the train's end for smokers and others wanting fresh air. You open the door and are standing by the outer railing. -

Brickster states, "I hire out my services for those in need and bring my gun for survival, but I didn't kill those men. As far as I know, no one knew that I had my gun with me because I left it in my suit case. Maybe it's pure speculation that someone assumed that a gunfighter would carry a gun and stole it to incriminate me as the murderer. But I'm telling you the truth that I didn't do it". -

Bloody Jay is very insistent upon searching the contents of The Brickster's small suitcase. Brickster picks up the suitcase, places it on the bed, and undoes the latches. Pop... The case opens. Inside is some clothing items but resting in the center of the bag is a black leather gunslinger's belt with a single right-handed holster. Strangely, no gun is in the case. Brickster has become very nervous and says, "I know you think I'm the murderer, but I didn't do it. The murder weapon is my gun but I didn't kill Phez, Blackbeard, or the housekeeper. Shortly after I was aboard the train, I found someone had burglarized by room and stole my gun. I didn't report it to train officials because bringing aboard fire arms is prohibited. Then the murders occured and I knew you would all blame me if you knew it was my gun". In looking through his case, you also notice a small stack of business cards that say, "Have Gun Will Travel, Wire Paladin San Fransisco". The card has a small picture of a black knight chess piece. "Please do not tell the Security Officer about the gun being mine. I will certainly be arrested and charged with the murders", the Brickster pleads. -

The Brickster is quite taken back that you wish to search his room but agrees if you must. The Security Officer has left you and the time is approximately 9:00 in the evening. You walk toward Brickster's room noticing that his anxiety is increasing. He unlocks the door for you and Bloody Jay quickly goes to his closet. He finds a black leather western hat with silver trim, a few black shirts, a pair of black crocodile western boots, and a small leather suitcase that Brickster says contains his personal belongings. Nothing else is in the room. -

The security officer looks at Athos rather suspiciously and says, "Mmmm, seems to me that we have us another suspect. I could see a musketeer such as yourself liking fancy swords". Who among you would have a motive to kill pirates? What clues do you have in your possession and what do they reveal. More mystery aboard the Lego Express. New members: please feel free to hop aboard the Mystery Murder Train at any time to help solve the mystery... :^^D -
I would just say that it's neat to watch the little bar below your name increase and the title changes. Overall, it's all in fun.

Tension and suspicion is high within your group. What do you know about one another, and what do you know about the murders? You have clues within your grasp and other clues may be hidden in other places... Your next room search is conducted in Athos's room by his eager consent. The room is an upgrade, a more spacious room than that of your own. Appears that this Musketeer does well in his brick trading. Within the large closet is various "musketeer-like" clothing, an ornate cape, and a leather hat with a large white feather, upturned side, and a gold buckle. Aside from his ornate collection of clothing, the room is empty. -

I'm unfortunately unable to come as I live in the US, but I'd love to get a badge as a souvenir from the event and this great web site. Any possibility of mailing for us in the US? -
Very nice. I esp. love the case.

Blackbeard's room appears to be very much like your own. You search the closet to find some clothing, normal personal belongings, and some ski gear. In the pocket of one of the shirts is a small picture of set 6250. Other than this, the room is empty. "Oh, I should probably mention this to you", the security officer says quietly to SuvieD; "One of our initial suspects was JonFett. When conducting a background check, we discovered that he had some links to organized crime figures and went by the alias "Big Wig". We're going to let the authorities know when we get to Prague, but I'm watching him closely". The security officer seems to have a slight hearing problem and talks loud enough that most of you can hear him whispering. "Is there any other place you want to go? Columbo is on tonight", he adds. -

The security officer states, "both your pirate friend Blackbeard and Rosa were found shot to death on their beds; bullets to the heart. Both rooms were thoroughly cleaned since we don't want to alarm our passengers. My guess is that the murderer knocked on their doors sometime during the night and shot them when they answered. No signs of forced entry were visible and we keep our room keys secure". "The bodies of all three victimes are locked in the mailroom. I can show them to you, but there's not much to see. Each victim had a single bullet wound to the chest. The murder weapon was a classic Smith & Wesson .44 with an 8" barrel- the kind of gun that American cowboys used. Ashamed it got stolen. I just hope that it's not in the hands of the murderer; otherwise, he/she may strike again. We've got us a clever one, we do", he adds. "I'll take you to Blackbeard's room now". -
I was driving down town today and passed under a freight train. The train had numerous yellow double-stacked cars, and in watching them pass, I realized that they had the TTX name. This must be a big company that makes these cars and that explains why Lego purchased license rights to use the name. As I give this more thought, it's neat that Lego keeps these cars authentic rather than just generic cars (like the Super Chief and BNSF as well). I'm sure it drives up the price but it's neat that they're authentic.

Snoefroe attempts to unlock the box with a combination of 230. It does not work. After much discussion regarding which room to search, you've decided that you will first search the housekeeper's room and the Security Officer has permitted this. Akkhraziel and XWingYoda go inside the room while you watch from the doorway. The room is quite ordinary but there is a small closet where the housekeeper kept her clothes, shoes, and a few personal belongings. On the upper shelf is a sweater that you pick up, discovering a small jewelry box that the sweater was covering. You place the jewelry box on the bed and open it. I love the Deathstar scene. I'd love to have my Falcon and Imperial troops in that hangar.

I enjoy reading and writing the various posts in the train mystery. I actually look forward to getting on line every day seeing what new clues will be uncovered and providing more. It's a great way to relax and unwind.

Instead they try to save $$$ leaving the train doors off the containers.
