  1. Very nice review Yoda. Thanks for sharing the images (and you actually beat Bloody Jay to it). It's a very nice set and although I'm not a big SW collector (anymore), I'll probably buy this one and load it with Storm Troopers and a few Imperial Officers. I've always loved the order, uniforms, and ships of the Imperial Navy. This is definately the flag ship and in mini-fig scale. It says BUY ME! - and Happy Birthday! Have fun taking out those Rebels!
  2. I like his pith helmet but I never was too fond of Kilroy. I see that someone else voted for Mike though.
  3. No. Port Adventure just because it's a desert port where adventurers can catch a train, boat, or sea plane to venture into the realms of Adventure.
  4. Nope. The Adventurer rating system discriminates against pirates (or just Pheses). You're still a pirate.
  5. Let's have some of that critical "Phes" thinking.
  6. 20 of these ships would really make a great single MOC.
  7. It's a blue plastic sheet that I purchased for a Christmas village/port display. It does seem to work well for these port scenes and photographs well. I wanted blue baseplates, but Lego SAH no longer sells them.
  8. I really like Mike. I like his cap and torso, esp. the sling shot. My 2nd choice is the Sherpa- very unique fig with nice detail.
  9. Great idea for a Shogun battle! - between the East and the West. And thanks.
  10. You're correct Athos. I meant to include Kilroy with just the suspenders and instead included a duplicate. I didn't include the variations of Pippin from the older adventure sets intentionally; but here are the missing images:
  11. Yes, you are. This post isn't about the mural anyway. It's about the display. I just threw the mural in as a bonus.
  12. The Good Choose your favorite adventurer hero and discuss why: I just noticed that Dr. Kilroy I and III are the same. I meant to picture a different green torso as image III. Please disregard. The choice is not listed in the poll.
  13. Phes: even if you got a 20, you'd still be a Pirate!
  14. Appears that 16 is the high score. It's a pretty good score considering that I think most people just buy sets and aren't too knowledgeable with the story line from the Lego web site.
  15. Pretty good story Hordesman. I like the Baron.
  16. I've heard this before (I think). Orient Expedition is all that I have "official" story-line from. If I find info on the character(s) elsewhere, I'll post.
  17. Adventurers "Who is Who": Lego Adventurers Website
  18. Ace Albright: Ace for an ace in poker or blackjack. Oscar K. Corral: or O.K. Corral for short. Cal Cartwright: had a good ring but Cartwright from Bonanza. I kinda liked Rusty Bullets myself.
  19. Does anyone else care to take the Orient Expedition Quiz?
  20. Maybe Lego will release in the upcoming year like they did the sea plane.
  21. Not bad, but I think I still prefer a yellow submarine.
  22. Gabarros assists both the bad guys and the good guys. I chose to list him under Villains since he has helped the bad guys. Achu is another guardian (and although I'm not positive), I considered him a creature that the "Good Guys" must do battle with. Since the Wanderer haunts the Emperor's Palace and the Adventurers may have to battle him, I considered him another villain. Some of this is subjective.
  23. Yeah. I think I'm more confused then before. *wacko* So are you saying that they're all the same person? Or that two of them are the same person, but one is disguised as the other person? Or something else... *wacko* The Baron and Lord Sam Sinister (named Sam Sinister in the picture) are the same person. The real Sam Sinister though is actually Mr. Hates/Sly Boots. He is a different person. This at least is my understanding. The real Sam Sinister does not have a hook as a hand.
  24. Baron Von Barron (pictured in the pith helmet, tan shirt, and light grey pants) is also known as SAM SANISTER, aka Lord Sam Sinister, aka Mr. Hates. He is a former general and collects precious artifacts. He is the same character as Lord Sam Sinister in Orient Expedition but NOT Sam Sinister. The name that appears in the image as Sam Sinister should be Lord Sam Sinister (disguised as). Mr. Hates aka Slyboots is the real Sam Sinister - please stand up, please stand up! That is confusing. *wacko*
  25. The Bad Pictured are the villains, guardians, and nemesis of the Adventurer team. Choose your favorite villain and discuss why you selected the mini-fig. As I was looking at these figs, I realized that all are very good mini-figs of the various Adventurer themes (desert, jungle, dino island, and Orient Expedition). Please note that some pictured (like Gabarros) was neutral but I included anyway as he helped both the bad guys and the good guys.
