  1. Thanks for sharing LCG. I really like the trophy room.
  2. I have to say that I'm really enjoying the new 2007 Lego Castle Theme. Legions of the Undead, Royal Knights, Dragons, and a new Wizard: what more could we have hoped for??? OK, perhaps a Castle Village, but I may be building one of those myself; not to mention the return of the Wild West theme (but now I'm just dreaming). So, you've already seen some image reviews from Yoda and Jay, but how about some armies preparing for battle. Both Armies: Legions of the Undead (great name, isn't it?) Close-up of the Skeleton Knights. You've got to love those eyes. If they had been green, I would really have to wonder??? A dragon's eye view: The Royal Army. I love the colors, the shields, and most of all, the metalic helmets: I love the archers. I always hated these helmets in dark grey/stone, but in the light metalic color, they are excellent: Dragon eye's view of the Royal Army: And the Wizard - *y* I must say that this is a terrific theme. I can't wait to see the 2nd line-up.
  3. Actually, I do have a page on MOC Pages. Here's the link: MOC Pages. Moc Pages does not provide the flexibility to create your own format/design, buttons, hyperlinks to other pages of one's web, etc. It's not bad and I love the voting and remark ability, but I plan to add a lot more in the future - and perhaps a few things of special interest. Plus, I'm not dependent on someone else's page.
  4. Thanks for the positive feedback. I plan to overhaul and add additional sections over the next few weeks, but I wanted to get something up for now. I also spotted a number of typos that I need to correct. But at least it does show all the Grave Stone collection and that was my main intent.
  5. I think the burps lean in just enough to cause some extra friction. Perhaps they will loosten over time. The set is OK. I really like the figs and skeletons. The price seems high for the number of pieces/size of set.
  6. Jay, one question. I got my set today. Does the skeleton mouth entrance actually open for you using the turning mechanism. Mine seems a little tight and gets stuck when I open it. I have to put some weight on the drawbrisge for it to open properly.
  7. I run 1280 x 1024. Thank Iamded. Appreciate the kind words.
  8. Thanks. Good suggestions. In regard to the font, I'm using Arial 10 which is pretty much standard. It's rather large with my browser. Perhaps I have a larger screen size??? I was initially using Arial 8 but increased it to 10. Sounds like it may still be too small for some.
  9. Thanks for the feedback Chewie and BM. I tend to agree with most of your suggestions. I'll be incorporating some of the improvements over the next few days. On a side note BM, what are your thoughts about my Fort Jacinto MOC. Here's the link: Fort Jacinto if you would like to provide some feedback.
  10. For the past few weeks, I've been working on the development of a Web Page to share my Ghost Town and other Wild West MOCs with the Lego community. I could think of no better group of individuals than the Eurobrick community to introduce the new site to. So, here is my Lego Grave Stone Web Page: Grave Stone *skull* Comments and feedback are most appreciated.
  11. Not sure what it is, but I enjoyed watching it come together.
  12. I've been contemplating if I should build a ghost wagon for some time now (since seeing this set a while back). Strange...
  13. BM: this is by far, your best MOC. If it were an actual Lego set, I'd snatch it up in a minute. I'm really impressed. Let me make a few comments starting with the station. When you first showed me the white arch pieces, I was not sure how they would look. I absolutely love them. It's an excellent addition to the WW architecture. I've also used the design of the steps on the side of the building before and it works very nicely with WW sets. I picked the idea up from Playmobil WW sets. The red roof and Legorado Station sign looks just like Fort Legorado. The roof works well. I'm not sure about the use of the grey fence pieces under the windows, but they do add an elemt of design. I love the custom map piece inside. Nice touch. In regard to the train, it's super. I'm most impressed with the engine, esp. how you did the front end. I've tried to capture the slanted front piece from old steam engines before, and could never make anything work. Nice job. My only suggestion would be to fill in the middle under-carriage of the train (between the wheels). It looks a little empty/unfinished. The back roof overhang is excellent. I like the red carriage car, and the cattle wagon. I like the caboose because it's little (like an old WW caboose should be). The use of the yellow works well with both the red cars. The log car looks a lot like the actual Lego MOT log car. As always, your figs are top notch. Great design of the torsos and choice of faces. I esp. like the outlaw dressed in the brown suit (great face), and the girl (she'd win one of the Lego pagents ;-) ). The wagon is my least favoriyte of the set, but not bad. Overall, as I said above, this is your best MOC and with the addition of the wonderful WW graphics, excellent presentation. PS. I love how you made the blue window decals for the station. It looks just like something Lego would offer. Sweet!
  14. Another great review Yoda. I've got my Castle collection on order and should be getting a number of the sets next week. Are you planning to build a few armies with your collection? This would look good in a battle scene. Thanks for sharing - as always.
  15. Very nice Apo! I think the use of the tan bricks work very well for this kind of structure. The towers catch my eye as well as the water tower. I like how you did the pipe/hose running down to provide a faucet for the figs. I also like the gatling gun and fig as well. I never saw a grey barrel before. Is grey an actual color? I also like the flag(s) which work well. Overall, a very nice WW MOC. You should try a colorful background to top it off. It's really nice to see others building some WW MOCs. Great job!
  16. I can't figure out why Lego never offered an old steam engine with the WW collection. Definately needed with other train accessories. Playmobil had an outstanding water tower for their wetsren steam train. Very original idea. This one I've never heard of. Reminds me of something out of the movie Post Man (if you've seen it). This would be interesting to see. What can I say *skull* *wub* This was something I was thinking when I built the Spooky Shack. Lego definately needed a small house of some kind. I like the idea of the bear - and I think it's very original for the WW theme. These are the ideas that I particularly liked. The others aren't bad as well. Do you plan to build any of them KD?
  17. Thanks. I think the background really helps make the MOC look better - or at least stand out.
  18. Definately. In addition, I would not be surprised if Castle is a long-lasting theme (like KK was). This is all part of Lego's marketing strategy - tying in films, themes, and other merchandise.
  19. Excellent! I think they're pretty good images. Thanks for sharing.
  20. All good recommendations Phes. I'll take them in to consideration.
  21. Yes. I saw Spellcaster 4D while in Legoland California a few months ago. I'm sure it's an add campaign for the new Lego Castle theme. I thought it was pretty good.
  22. It's a great Friday/Saturday night movie. It doesn't have all the special effects or gore that the modern horror stories have, but it does have a good story and suspense (esp. in the beginning of the film). I would recommend if you can find it.
  23. From IMDb: After receiving word about a mysterious carcass/skeleton unearthed in the Arizona desert, a father and his daughter decide to remove it from the burial grounds for further study. Once they do so, they, as well as the town, are besieged by a colony of gargoyles living in some nearby caverns.
  24. What a great scene! I love it. That ship actually looks like a real Lego shipwreck. The trees and the cooking pot add an excellent level of detail. This is very impressive and would make a great Viking set.
  25. It's tought to not get that effect using image backgrounds. Maybe it needs some wagon wheel tracks.
