Have visited these places. The Scotty's Castle/Death Valley images were part of this Mystery Tour. That's a stretch.

Very nice Dug! I love the stubbed-nose front end, a sharp design that I'm sure looks like the original train. The color palette looks nice with the red, tan, black, and gey (although I'm a little surprised you chose grey for the small door sections (but they still look good)). I love all the classic red windows, as well as the 2x3 sized which adds to the detail. Overall, another sharp and stunning train from a great train builder!

I started building this evening. What ever happened to building with what you have? - perhaps I'm just "old school".

Battle of the Randomness: BrickFair 2009 Edition
WesternOutlaw replied to Brickadier General's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Fantastic General! I love seeing those troops in action. I always wanted to see an army of Union soldiers. Your layout looks really nice. I have to check out some of the close-up images. Very nice! This is the extend of my army: give or take a few horses and cannons -

Closing the poll closes the thread. I didn't want to elimate the results. Edit: nevermind- poll closed (thanks).

Excellent! - love the ghost (and the train). I hope to see another spooky steam train from you Tony. Good to hear. It's just for fun, and we'll call it a building challenge rather than a contest. Definately. This sounds very interesting. I would really look forward to seeing a spectral paint job. It sounds like some of you are interested -can't wait to see your Ghost trains!

Vote for your favorite HERE. For those that know me on Eurobricks also know that I'm a big fan of "spooky things" and really enjoy this time of year (Fall, October, Halloween ). While we don't have a Fall/Halloween banner here on Train Tech, that's not to say we can't enjoy some Fall festivities. With the recent Train Tech Building Contest coming to an end, some of you might be asking; well, what's next? I present to you a building challenge in the spirit of the Fall Season and Halloween quickly approaching. Break out those cobwebs, Studio monsters, ghosts, and goblins, for we are about to embark on a train ride aboard a ghoulishly delightful Train Tech event. The challenge... simply, to Build a Ghost Train. No rules to get in the way, this is just a frightfully fun little building challenge for those of you who have pondered about building a Ghost Train. But please, post your Ghost Train as a separate post, I will take care of the rest... Bah...ha...ha...ha...ha! EDIT: You may add a "GTE" (for Ghost Train Entry) as part of the title of your post. If not, I will do it for you. Example: GTE: My Own Ghost Train. Have fun! I think these roundhouses are some of the most difficult train-related building to create. Very nice job on this Peterab.

I really liked your End of the Road Cagri, esp. how you placed the track at an angle - very original (and difficult for those who ever tried it).

I don't see why not.

Interesting question Badboy. I've pondered on this question after first seeing the set. I have mixed views. While I like the swing doors of the sheriff's office and some of the design (at least the piece selection and colors), the entire set seems oversized to me - at least for standard minifig scale. I'm also surprised to not see the standard tan baseplate, but rather brick plates (which are useful). I have to think about this question more? I'll probably go with "only on clearance".

Thanks - I use Photoshop Elements, which I've finally learned how to use. It does take me some time though.

Strange, I don't see any water.

Very nice job on the decals Helos. They look fantastic!

I think that SlyOwl's comment based on this contest really demonstrates what a great theme Trains is, and that these fantastic entries encourage builders to try their hand at train-building. I would look forward to seeing one of your trains SlyOwl!

As a new promotion for Classic-Town.net, I'm going on an adventure, a camping adventure that is. Over the next few weeks, I will be visiting a number of places in my new LEGO Classic-Town Camper; and you will have a chance to guess where I'm at. Some places will be pretty easy to guess, while others a little more difficult. This first destination will be posted on Classic-Town Sunday morning as I prepare lots of water and my hiking gear. Make sure to visit Classic-Town in the morning!

MOC: 10193 10199 Mashup - Medieval Christmas Village
WesternOutlaw replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Town
Oh, I love it Svelte! I knew the Medieval Market would make a great Christmas creation. This reminds me of something out of Dickens or one of those miniature Christmas villages. Great set combination! This deserves to be front paged! Sweet.
