  1. Apparently, despite being a "First Class" customer, I've ended up on someone's "Stop List" on Bricklink as he's decided he "doesn't want to sell to me". I'm kind of narked right now. I've got a perfect record on Bricklink! Dr.S.
  2. Insert gratuitous shot of Tabletown... Dr. S.
  3. Darth Imperious. Dr. S.
  4. Haha. No, I actually got an honorable mention for a video I sent them. My video didn't quite make the cut, but I was pleased to see my name up there. Dr. S.
  5. I think I e-mailed using my Doctor Sinister account, but my real name is at the bottom of the comic. This is the second time I've had a mention on that site! Dr. S.
  6. From experience, that doesn't work. All that happens is stuff like this: LOL! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(50 characters) Dr. S.
  7. Grunts Features on the BBC News Website! As a follow up to an article on the four-panel comic strip, I sent an episode of Grunts to the BBC website. It's now been featured as part of a follow-up article! Read the article here or check out the screenshots below. 8. Thought it was time I had another one in this sub-series. Dr. S.
  9. I had this back in the day...but not about LEGO, it was about my Doctor Who obsession. Yeah, I had all the "shrine" comments, a mother who tried to discourage me, I just dug my heels in even more - I'm bloody minded like that. Eventually she realised it was impossible to get me to stop being interested in what I wanted to do, rather than what she wanted (Dog Shows!!) and she caved in and started buying me ultra-rare Doctor Who books from the 1960s and nowadays my DW collection is worth tens of thousands of £££ with the series revival (not that I'll ever sell). My battle ended 25 years ago with total victory - it CAN be done. Be your own person, fight to do what YOU want to do, not what society tells you what to do and you will succeed. Good luck. Dr. S.
  10. The Kowakian monkey-lizard for sure - anything that features high-explosive gets my vote. Dr. S.
  11. You'll find the complete set here. Dr. S.
  12. APRIL 14th, 1984 "It was a bright cold day in April and the clocks were striking thirteen." "The voice came from an oblong metal plaque like a dulled mirror which formed part of the surface of the wall. The instrument (the telescreen, it was called) could be dimmed, but there was no way of shutting it off completely." "A coloured poster, too large for indoor display, had been tacked to the wall. It depicted simply an enormous face, more than a meter wide: the face of a man of about forty-five with a heavy black mustache and ruggedly handsome features." "The thing that he was about to do was to open a diary. This was not illegal (nothing was illegal, since there were no longer any laws), but if detected it was reasonably certain that it would be punished by death or by at least twenty-five years in a forced labour camp." "It was one of those pictures which are so contrived that the eyes follow you about when you move. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU the caption beneath it ran." Dr. S.
  13. I really like this, everything about it is so well made. Brilliant stuff. Dr. S.
  14. My first ever custom minifig sticker - Number 6 from the cult TV series, the Prisoner. The round thing behind is meant to be "Rover" - a big white ball thingy that acted as a security guard for The Village. Dr. S.
  15. Davros looks great! I'm not 100% sold on the Supreme Dalek, but the colours are very nice. I think it's missing something from the top though. I'll have a mess with my own Daleks to see if I can make my own Supe'. Dr. S.
  16. Just got back from LLW to see a scribbled 'phone note on the pad - apparently LEGO rang whilst I was out and confirmed the order I placed would be honoured at the price it was listed at the time. Dr. S.
  17. It's nice to drool over though. A guy at LEGOLand Windsor just tried to sell me a copy - he was mightily confused when I said I'd had one since Friday. :-D Dr. S.
  18. Odd. There's nothing on the Tabletown site that's remotely controversial to block anything like that. Dr. S.
  19. A somewhat topical episode in the week that the British MOD finally signed orders for two Super-Carriers for the Royal Navy. Rule Brittania! This episode nearly didn’t get made after my PC decided to try and pack up on me - a System Restore soon fixed it but if it happens again I’m taking the planet with me. Dr. S.
  20. Dear all, I would like to place a vote before the EN committee to rename the organisation. Since it was set up at Eurobricks, the EN has expanded beyond this forum and into other sites - and to that end, I feel that the EN title is no longer 100% relevant. Over at the Tabletown Forums, the name "LEGO Nations" has been decided upon, and I feel that this name would be relevant to incorporate the EN as well. It's a more informative and relevant name for all LEGO states wherever they may be. Views welcome. I also have a revised flag: Dr. S.
  21. I pre-ordered at the original price on day 1. I've sent LEGO a very snotty e-mail demanding their immediate confirmation that I am paying the price I agreed. It doesn't help that their damned website is insisting I "update" my account and refuses to let me actually do so because there is a database error they can't seem to be bothered to fix. Rant over... Dr. S.
