  1. Download your free calendar now! Full of silly images from a year of some not-so noble LEGO work from yours-truly, your Tabletown Wall Calendar is guaranteed to provide a full 365 days of functionality and semi-amusement, or help with a few visits to the loo, whichever you prefer. (Following a Court injunction and a restraining order, I regret to advise that no images of exploding sheep feature in this publication) Download your calendar in .pdf format from here: http://www.tabletownonline.com/Resources/2...wn_Calendar.pdf Dr. S.
  2. I'd never heard of the K-Wing before, but you've done an excellent, superb job of recreating the source picture in LEGO. What a great MOC! Dr. S.
  3. Beautiful creation Mr Sinner, absolutely wonderful. I love the front RADAR array. I've seen that ME110 in the "flesh" so to speak at Hendon and this is very reminiscent of it. Dr. S.
  4. Well, I've ordered a Scorpion Palace, but I have some doubts as to whether it will ever appear! Dr. S.
  5. I have. There are at least 6 BPs making up the troops. Maybe 7. There's no way I could have acquired so many troops with just the vehicles alone. Dr. S.
  6. Again, this information is provided in the very opening post. Dr. S.
  7. I just opened my Castle Advent Calendar. I'm missing two mini-sets completely and had another two sets twice. A few of them were in the wrong partitions - which I'm not overly fussed about, but children might be (?). One of the missing sets is a Castle Spearman - so at least it wasn't a unique figure! Dr. S.
  8. Well, the answer is right there in my opening part of the first post, but I'll repeat it here. Dr. S.
  9. I see where you are coming from, but I think I'll keep it as a pure Clone army - don't own the Republic ship and that predates the Clone Wars anyway. I might get one...I don't know now... Dr. S. The speeders are already on board their respective vehicles in those photos. Jedi starfighters - yes, although I don't have them all as I was concentrating on Clone type stuff. Suddenly this is getting even more expensive! I used to religiously buy ALL SW sets as they came out, and then something terrible happened to me...children. Now I'm more selective. However if it is Clone related or any kind of Imperial set - I'll buy it. Rebel starfighters I'll also get without a thought, but I tend to be more reluctant on large sets that aren't related to the above. Remind me to show you my TIE fighter fleet one day. Dr. S.
  10. I can't help but buy LEGO tat... I bought this LEGO Cookie Jar and I decided on the drive home that it was going to live on MY desk and the cookies inside would always be MINE and no-one else would EVER have any...the only thing was how to break this to Mrs S, who would no doubt insist that I keep it in the kitchen. So I got it home and showed her and I was about to break the news to her but before I could speak she looked at me and told me in no uncertain terms that the thing was damn well going to live on my desk, NOT in the kitchen, and it was my job to keep it stocked up with cookies and that she didn't want any. So...does this mean I've won? I'm kind of confused... :-) Dr. S.
  11. Although that's not a warship, per se. Dr. S.
  12. It had occurred to me. There's one in there in front of the Droid carriers, I'm missing the original one from the Wookie Attack set. Dr. S.
  13. I take your point re' the Hailfire Droid, but it doesn't float my boat as much as the minifig scale one. Aside from the first few releases, I got out of Technic Star Wars sets as they did nothing for me. I Bricklinked the guns - need a few more and lots of arms as I haven't changed all those yet. Dr. S.
  14. I just realised that I have General Grievous' starfighter somewhere, so I suppose he/it ought to be added to this army as well. I think to complete this army, I need to get: 7252 - Droid Tri-Fighter. 7256 - Jedi Starfighter and Vulture Droid (for the Droid, of course). 7258 - Wookie Attack. 7673 - MagnaGuard Starfighter. 7678 - Droid Gunship. Dr. S.
  15. As I said above, I have 6 of those but I chose not to use the speeders and turrets - most Clones don't ride around on vehicles (witness the battle scene at the end of SW episode II) - if I used all the Speeders I'd have no infantry. Dr. S.
  16. I've scraped together all my Droids so here is my Droid Army. This army isn't nearly as complete as my Republic/Clone army. This consists of two MTTs (sets 7184 and 7662), one AAT (set 7155), two Droid Fighters (7111 and one from set 7660), one Battle Droid Carrier (7126), two Droid Battle Packs (7654), one Hailfire and small Spider Droid (7670) and one large Separatist Spider Droid (7681). It also includes Droids from sets 7121 (Naboo Swamp), 7141 (Naboo Fighter), 7203 (Jedi Defence I), 7204 (Jedi Defence II), 4478 (Geonosian Fighter), 7163 (Republic Gunship), 7261 (Clone Turbo tank), 7675 (AT-TE). If you include the Fighters and Spider Droids etc, there are a total of 79 Droids here. A lot of them you can't see as they are on board the carriers etc - eg: there are 9 Droids on board the 7184 and 20 on board the 7662. Of the above, there are 4 Destroyer Droids, 5 Droids on STAPs of various style and design, 10 Super Battle Droids, 1 Spider Droid, 1 smaller Spider Droid, 1 Hailfire Droid and 2 Fighter Droids, leaving 55 regular Droids, some of which are the newer type with the modified arms (to hold new blasters) and some of which have various colour markings etc. I've upgraded most of the weaponry for the army, there are less than a dozen Droids using the old megaphone style guns, the rest all have new LEGO SW blasters. I'll upgrade the rest soon, I just ran out of guns! Dr. S.
  17. There are two threads around here where you'll see that I did direct photo comparisons of each. Dr. S.
  18. It's an ancient tactic known as "spending far too much money". Seriously, I don't recommend it. Dr. S.
  19. Yeah, I bought about 6 BPs and I've still got all the bits, but I chose to use the troops in an infantry capacity rather than all riding around on speeders and sitting in turrets. Dr. S. I've got a Droid army as well, but I don't think it's as well-equipped in terms of vehicles. It's got plenty of troops though. I might dig out all the sets one day and assemble it on the battlefield. Dr. S.
  20. Thanks, but I think there was a small vehicle that came with the Wookie Catamaran set that I don't have. Not sure. Dr. S.
  21. Yes. There is a rod you pull in and out to make the walls move. There are 2 stickers on a single brick that you simply extract and turn over to slide it back into place. Vader fits in with a squeeze. Dr. S.
  22. As I said elsewhere, I'm glad you did this review Mutley, there's too much to write about with this set, I just couldn't face it (or have the time). Dr. S.
  23. My Republic Army. Consists of two AT-TEs (sets 4482 and 7675), two Republic Gunships (sets 7163 and 7676), a Juggernaut/Clone Turbo Tank (set 7261), a Clone Scout Walker (7250), a Republic Fighter Tank (7679), a V-19 Torrent (7674), a V-Wing Fighter (6205), an ARC-170 Fighter (7259) and an AT-AP Walker (7671). There are a total of 56 Clones here. 4482 - 2 Clones. 7675 - 2 Clones. 7163 - 2 Clones. 7676 - 2 Clones. 7261 - 4 Clones (includes one on the BARC Speeder). 7250 - 1 Clone. 7679 - 2 Clones. 7674 - 1 Clone. 6205 - 1 Clone. 7259 - 3 Clones. 7671 - 2 Clones. Plus 34 ground troops. There are 22 old-style Clones, of which 14 are of the Clone Wars type with the new helmets etc, and 33 episode III style Clones plus 1 BARC Trooper. All Clones have the more recent SW style LEGO blasters - I upgraded all the older style weaponry. Dr. S.
  24. This is basically going to be on a round table - so there won't be much else with it. Really, it's just a little bit of backdrop to show off the ships themselves, so I'm not going over the top with it. The other round table will have the Tabletown Army - again, that has a small barracks facade to give the impression that there's something there, but the vehicles and the troops are the main attraction. I anticipate that as time goes on, I'll be able to invest more money in background scenery, but for now I'm concentrating on the vehicles themselves. This is only my third display in my first year of attending these events, so I'm taking it slow and gradually building up. Dr. S.
  25. Here's a simple docking pier for ships of the Tabletown Navy - part of my display at the Brickish Association's event at the STEAM museum on 04-05/10/08. I thought that the ships on their own would look a little dull, and I had some spare Naval ratings who weren't assigned to any of the vessels, so they are here. Two ships are docked and undergoing resupply, whilst another two ships leave port for their patrol. Dr. S.
