After many rainy days in this region, I finally had the chance to let it run outside. Conclusion - it's a beast! Hint: to facilitate charging the BuWizzs, I installed two of these adapters:

Yesterday, I performed the BuWizz setup on the bare chassis. This morning, I finished the model by re-attaching the body and the wheels. I did a very, very careful test in our living room trying to avoid hitting the walls. Looking forward to letting it run outside, soon. The speed is insane, great work!!!

My bad! I checked the profile once again and figured out that I made a mistake in the configuration. The horizontal control was not linked to the Center Steer module. Now everything seems to work as expected.

I believe I do need some help. I was now able to connect and configure the BuWizzs according to the layout. I am able to drive the car but the steering does not work. Triggering servo calibration for BuWizz #1 works and finishes fine, but in Drive mode, when using the horizontal slider, nothing happens.

I finally found the time to finish the work on the Red Wolf. I really enjoyed building this awesome model! Unfortunately, I could not test-drive it, yet, as it turned out that one of my BuWizzs is broken

I used the Easter weekend to disassemble the Greyhound and prepare all the parts needed for the Red Wolf. Like I did with the Hammerhead, I am planning to do a few cosmetic changes by replacing the visible blue pins by black ones. @Didumos69, do you mind sharing the digital file of this model? This would make this task a lot easier.

Is this a MOD to add HOG steering to this model? Let me try: "schwarz" = black "obere Halterung für die längere Lenksäule: (kommt von unten aus hintere(m) Ende des Daches)(siehe nebenan)" --> Upper mount/bracket for the longer steering column: (comes from below from the rear end of the roof) (see next page) "10er Lenksäule (zwischen Motor und Fahrerkanzel)" --> 10L steering column (=axle, I presume) (between engine and driver's cockpit) "keine Lochplatte" --> use the corresponding plate without holes

As preparation for the Red Wolf I purchased two from their store. Shipping was 10.95, no other fees. (And they added a bazillion of their MTP stickers to the parcel)

Joking aside, the Red Wolf is really a masterpiece! Sad to hear that Rebrickable is refusing to list the model in its entirety. By any chance, do you have a delta list comparing the Red Wolf to the Greyhound?

Happy New Year! I chime with this! Being a fan of the Greyhound, I am also looking forward to building the Red Wolf. I am very much impressed by this still from the video linked earlier.

This very moment.... ... when you had the extra parts lying around for quite some time, waiting for you to disassemble the Sián and rebuild it in its 'Pimp up' version. ... when you admire the work of all the skilled people who have contributed to all these improvements ... when you are close to completing the model, having only a bit of body work left And only then... you notice this

General Part Discussion
Woodstock89 replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, I hope I found the right topic for my question. Some time ago when I built Didumos's Greyhound in red, I came across the fact that part 60483 (Liftarm Thick 1 x 2 with Pin Hole) in red is offered at high prices on Bricklink (if at all). Looking at the part's details, it appears that it never appeared in any set. So, I am wondering where those parts that are on sale come from? Second question: is it possible to resize an image inserted from URL? (Thanks for the hint, SNIPE!)- 5,419 replies

PF motor cables being fried
Woodstock89 replied to SNIPE's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looking at the top right of the first picture, which kind of corrosion could cause this damage to the wires? -
Thanks, it was a very rewarding build! I am only wondering about the purpose of two axle pin connectors attached to the seats. Do they serve any purpose or are they just residuals of previous designs/versions?

I finally found the time and managed to complete this magnificent car. It's truly a masterpiece and I enjoyed building it. I went for a black/red colour scheme and the improved rims.

Thanks for the fast response! I managed to install the axle with end-stop, but I agree, it was a bit difficult ;-)

I have started building this fantastic car and have to chime in saying that it is has an awesome design, without doubt! I noticed a small inconsistency between the LDD/building instructions and the cut away quoted above. In the picture above there is an 8L axle with stop sitting right below the HOG steering mechanism. Whereas in the LDD and the instructions there is a standard 8L axle without stop. Has this been changed deliberately over the course of time (IMHO, the axle with stop makes more sense here)?

Although @jb70 recently posted full instructions for the 42056 combining several different mods (you guys are awesome, btw), I intend to take the challenge and build the Ultimate Playable version created by @Didumos69. I downloaded the LXF file linked to in the first post of this thread but I am a bit worried because I can only see the chassis but not the body. Am I doing something wrong?
