  1. When you go away for half an hour and you come back to three more pages and you think there must have been a leak because we have simply exhausted all other small talk and speculation! ? I'm so happy we are getting WWW and if Skeeter is included (don't tease me Lego with that door!) I will be even happier. As for Gringotts, I just can't see it not being in a DA set. Other than the Gringotts lettering on the front of the building I don't think they necessarily need many printed parts or stickers for Gringotts so I'm guessing the parts required are either printed or we're not seeing a sticker sheet. That being said, they could do it as a standalone like @Balrogofmorgoth says but I think they must know they'd face backlash for it. ?
  2. Very good point. Spread the budget around and use the CMF for moulds for the DA so the D2C budget can go on great figures and other prints/moulds. Here's hoping!
  3. Ah me too! Can't remember half of it though. J.K's definitely done a lot of studying in that area though. There are some fascinating essays out there going really in depth.
  4. I would assume the CMF would have a street date on and the stores shouldn't be selling them yet. That being said, if they're not supposedly meant to be released until 1st September, you'd think Lego could wait until at least mid-August to ship. Unless Lego wants them to leak this way then something has gone wonky. ? They do seem to have worked on reducing leaks and from what I've heard leakers get cracked down on hard (poor old @TheRandomBlocker lost his job for instance) so I think they do care. I'd say the driving force though is to stop copy cat companies rather than our small community of hard core fans discussing things. Unfortunately for us though we lose out, as like you say the leaks just increase the excitement. I think the leaks give a sense of community, that community makes you feel part of something and so then you want to invest more in it. Take that away and like @broadwaybocaj says you can become a bit frustrated. There's a fine balance between not wanting to know everything beforehand and then feeling despondent because there seems to be nothing much leaking. That being said, if we think about it the fact that we even know about the CMF and DA are big leaks in themselves as the average consumer won't even know they are coming yet.
  5. Seems like someone's backtracking *sigh* Sorry to hear that. I know what you mean though.
  6. It wouldn't be my first choice of print let's just say that.
  7. Thing is, I don't take that as a definite 'not real' because Lego just seems to like messing with us and pulling these things lately.
  8. To me it's because one arm is thin and one thick.
  9. The person on IG who leaked the Ponda Baba and Dr Evazan has reposted a shot of that tile with Muggles Are Our Friends saying it is from DA. I know when it leaked months ago it was a rumoured CMF piece, but it got disbelieved for a couple of reasons, such as the art style, so what are people's thoughts about it now? I know the Nagini piece was slated as not real until it did actually come in the CMF.
  10. If you start that we'll never get any free leaks again! ?
  11. I use to keep boxes no question, thinking they're part of the set etc. Then I scaled down my Lego buying and now mostly buy just HP, but the boxes were still mounting up after just two waves so I resorted to flattening the boxes carefully and putting them into each other. And to be fair they didn't take up much space that way. But then I started thinking that it's only cardboard at the end of the day do I really need them? It took some 'courage' but I finally just got rid of them. For me it wasn't even so much about the space and more the fact that the time you spend stressing over boxes arriving in good condition and making sure they stay in good condition just seemed mad when you think that it is essentially just cardboard. It was very rewarding this year when I ordered my sets and when one arrived in the post with a small line 'dent' in the box (a 'flaw' even a family member pointed out because it would have bothered me in the past) I was able to just shrug and say 'it doesn't matter' because it was only going in the bin. That being said for higher value sets I will keep the box e.g. 71043 Hogwarts Castle or the upcoming DA, because if I was to sell those kind of sets in the future the depreciation of the set without the box may be higher. Otherwise if you think you may sell the sets someday (sacrilege I know! ?) then I just think would it be worth the extra few £s I may get for the set when I will have to package up a box and get it to good condition to a buyer versus selling it without the box and not having that stress. The majority of the time the answer is no. Like @Accio Lego I just keep the manuals altogether in a box. The box art for HP is gorgeous, but the sets in reality are the best thing to look at in my opinion.
  12. I'd say there's still a small chance of a reveal within the next week and then VIP access mid August and a general release September 1st. But it's getting so close to a potential release date now I really don't think it matters all that much. What I am expecting early this week is a CMF reveal considering the leaks this weekend and the fact they are already being sold somewhere. Dragging that reveal out would just look lazy and disorganised to me. Of course it won't really matter to us all now anyway, although some real pics of all the figures would be great, apart from the fact that I think they need to get that reveal out of the way before they announce DA.
  13. He's 'Gone fishing!' Like he said he will have pages to trawl through when he does get back.?
  14. Pretty normal standard practice for Lego. ?
  15. There's definitely a scar in the middle of his forehead and it does look like a letter on his blanket. ?
  16. Master Yoda: 'I cannot teach him. The boy has no patience' ?
  17. Fred and George's Hats also look printed on the instruction part of the leaflet.
  18. Does she come with that hairpiece though or did the person just photograph her with that hairpiece on? The leaflet doesn't show her as having a hairpiece, whereas with Graves they show the white hairpiece on the leaflet. Yes I know that was to show that he can transform into Grindlewald, but it seems to me that if a character comes with extra hair they show it. So Luna could well come with that hairpiece but I don't think the photo proves it.
  19. Now if they had just done something yesterday (even a teaser) like we were hoping then 1) they wouldn't look so stupid, and 2) you would have been saved.
  20. All I know is, Lego has left it so long to officially announce the CMF that they have self-sabotaged their own reveal.
  21. Personally I think we got spoiled by the bag image because I think it showcases the best figures and I am pretty annoyed that there is no Rita / Pomfrey as the only way I can see us getting them now is in a series 3 if it happens. The thought that we may never get figures of such characters now makes me a little nervous. On the other hand, I know some would say that getting minifigures such as Lily and James is something we never could have hoped for in the past. It seems like Lego is using the CMF to give us figures that cover some of the darker material that wouldn't fit into sets well. Still, a nice bright acid green Rita Skita would have made my day!
  22. The person said they found these in a shop and their account says they are in Romania. So these are already out in the wild! Surely Lego will reveal them now. Yes @Guyon2002 No Rita ? Or Pomfrey (Nono debunked again)
  23. There's Fred and George in the outfits they're wearing when they give Harry the Maurauders map and it looks like the map and a fireworks tile are their accessories. But no Madam Pompfrey though. Well that's He Who Shall Not Be Named well and truly proven wrong! Griphook has the sword of Gryffindor. :)
  24. We should just rename the thread from Harry Potter 2020 to Harry Potter Nostalgia ? Seriously though come on Lego. I've just had a horrible morning so can you please just reveal something HP and turn my day around at bit. Thank you.
  25. I got 4709 Hogwarts Castle for Christmas the year it was released and then got Hagrid's Hut, the Hogwarts Express, The Final Challenge, Troll On the Loose, Snape's Class, Chamber Of Secrets, Dumbledore's Office, Escape From Private Drive, Aragog's Lair and the Knight Bus over the next couple of years. I remember always wanting the Room of Winged Keys and Forbidden Corridor, but this was before internet shopping in my house and my parents were limited to what they had in my local very small toy shop. That's why now I bought the old Fluffy mould off ebay because although I don't want to go back and buy the old sets, Fluffy is still a great mould. After 2004 I was in my dark age for 10 years so I never followed the HP sets after Prisoner Of Azkaban. So I've been really excited to get both sets and figures from the later movies.
