  1. If it satisfies both Potter fans and ship lovers then I'd say it's possible, but it's definitely down the list. As much as I love Hogwarts Icons for what it is, as long as this one isn't buildable objects I'm fine. Nothing motorized is cheap when it comes to Lego and considering how the train would lend itself to a detailed model I don't think parental backlash would put them off. Not when there would be a suitable 'child' version on the market still.
  2. They could also do a detailed Ministry set with the central fountain and other areas off it, but that also seems less likely.
  3. A Durmstrang ship and second task could also have D2C potential, but that one's lower on my possible list than Gringotts, motorised Hogwarts Express or a Quidditch Pitch.
  4. D2C motorised Hogwarts Express or Quidditch pitch? That's one big price tag.
  5. Haha. There's our Gringotts dreams up in flames.
  6. Except it would sell worse, because like someone above, there are people who will pick up multiples of the book to get more than one prefect torso. Yule Ball Ginny or Moody wouldn't have that effect. It sucks, but it's clearly marketing. I hate having to buy these books for the figures, but I'm glad we're finally getting Percy.
  7. Got a sealed 75017 Duel On Geonosis for less than original RRP. This was retired just before I came out of my dark age, so providing I open it up and it's all there then I'm super pleased. The green Yoda box art makes me so nostalgic for some AOTC sets.
  8. It's very annoying as like you I'd like to stack sections to save on display space. I have it with the 2018 - 20 castle sets instead. It almost seems like a 'connector' set in some ways though to bridge between the 'old' castle sets and the new modules.
  9. It has hinges on the two outer sections which mean they can fold back outwards towards the clock. It looks like the photo shows the hinges slightly open creating a curve effect. The trouble with the flying lesson set is that the middle door section is 10 studs wide and not the 8 studs of all these other modular sections, so it, wouldn't fit straight on top.
  10. I love how the catalogue would make you think that those golden minifigures light up like a thousand watt light bulb!
  11. Yes true, but he is still clearly captured and in a state. Then again, the whole book build is based around the forbidden curses rather than pesky pixies or conquering fear so I think the little fig rather fits the tone.
  12. Well spotted! I appreciate the detail, but it's also good to know that imprisonment and torture aren't too dark for Lego then. Glad to see they're covering the more magical aspects of the series.
  13. Noooooo! Thanks for stopping me waiting all night for them to appear though.
  14. I'm hoping these are just an appetiser for a great Summer wave.
  15. It's reveals like these that make me get that overwhelmingly excited feeling in my stomach and remind me why I love this theme. @BrickBob Studpants Has your hunger been assuaged yet?
  16. Thanks! Really interested to see the inside, but am impressed by the outside. The architecture strikes a good balance between modular, but not too blocky looking I think. I'm liking the tan windows instead of the brown.
  17. Is that the Grim on the tile in the green book flying around the Divination book?
  18. If anyone in the UK is looking to pick up 71383 Wiggler's Poison Swamp expansion set I have a sealed set I don't want. Will sell cheap. PM me if interested.
  19. That is not the corner, domed building we are looking for.
  20. Seconded. I really like the look of the AT-ST as a display model. Not quite sure why, but it just feels nostalgic I suppose. But I can't get it; if I got it I would want to display it next to the UCS AT-AT and I can't get that, so I can't get the AT-ST. As for the figures, it's great that they're reusing the Hoth Rebel jacket torso from 75098 Assault On Hoth to give some Echo base crew although they're not pairing them with the legs with the printed pockets but plain white legs. A minor cost cut which is a slight detriment to the figure in my opinion, but a reasonable compromise and some people may prefer as it might be easier to assemble multiples. I preferred the male ginger bearded face from 75098 as it looked like the guy you see helping to lower an astromech, but I get what they're doing with the diversity of faces.
  21. Sure do. I first became aware of who he was back with the Ewok Village Designer video. I knew then that I loved his design style so I'm so glad he's so involved with the HP line.
  22. That list better appear quickly lol. Sounds like you need some serious 'food for thought'.
  23. It is exciting to get a set list, but there's only so many times I can read speculation for say a Second Task, Durmstrang Ship, Ministry Battle (for the death eaters), Shrieking Shack, and I'm not even going to mention the elephant in the room, before I become cold and dead inside. P.S. Hurry up leakers, the almighty @BrickBob Studpants requires feeding.
  24. Winter line pictures. Speculation is fun and all, but we've been over it a lot already. And it kind of just gets your hopes up for things that don't materialise. That's not to say that what we do get isn't good, great even, but right now I'd rather stick to what we know.
