  1. I'd like ALL the saxophones! Soprano, alto, tenor and bari lol. But my best suggestion would be a trombone.
  2. Then I guess the next question is does anyone know of anyone scraping/archiving brickshelf? I tried searching a little like on r/datahoarder (a subreddit), reddit as a whole, and general google (not helpful as always as of lately thanks google you pos), but found nothing.
  3. Possibly "mini" which I've never liked cause it sounds like short for "minifig". I have seen people call midi mini lol.
  4. What is the state of Brickshelf? Are there backups? Are all the models on there safe??? I'll admit to rarely visiting Brickshelf in my early years as a fan, never appreciating the old aesthetic. Now, I love it. And more importantly I love some of the models I'm finding. I was just saying elsewhere I wish I could find some cool mocs that look like old Lego sets, well there's plenty there! On this note and case in point, What happened to all the models on mocpages?! As of writing this, creating a new account is disabled and password recovery is broken according to the home page. Has it been like that for long? Does anyone know if they could be going into some sort of preservation/archiving mode?
  5. Alright here's a spicy one. Bionicle was a bandaid. Shots fired. lol jk jk.
  6. Yeah, lots of Star Wars mocs when searching for midi scale. Thank you! I've learned soooooo much from building those, only to have solutions that I'd spent hours on made obsolete by new parts. Oh well, it just means there's now room for more detail! They're a ton of fun to design. This book that may be the original application of the term midi-scale to the five plate tall figs. https://www.amazon.com/Big-Unofficial-Lego-Builders-Book/dp/3868526587 I'd seen mocs scaled to the five plate figs before such as a Empire State Building, but that book was the first time I'd seen it called midi-scale.
  7. Love your trains!!! I've heard this called midi scale with the five plate tall figurines.
  8. I was going to say yes with how much of a adult enthusiast/collector market Lego has been catering to lately, but I don't think the majority of that market would want those sets let alone buy them. I'd love to find someone making cool mocs in the style of these old sets. Sometimes I feel burned out on "beautiful lego" lol.
  9. This! Objectively I dislike them, but subjectively they're cool. Kinda wanna eat them lmao they look like candy.
  10. Oh yeah I know, I was just thinking it's become comparable to pointing out how water is wet when it's like "Yeah, we know".
  11. Here's a potentially unpopular opinion. The term SNOT is outdated and redundant. I mean what builds/MOCs/sets don't use SNOT these days? Granted it still is a good term when one wishes to call out a really good usage.
  12. Got a few of the Technic figs and think they're really cool. Love the size. Everything else kinda feels... I guess 'unnecessary' is a good word.
  13. What did the Italian Cop say about the bald criminal?

    "He has-a to pay!!"

  14. It's patina. Very cool.
  15. That is awesome! Runs pretty clean I'd say. Hey I just wanted to say thanks for helping people out on this topic! It really means a lot.
  16. Very cool!!! I always dreamed of finding a way to accomplish this!
  17. Ooh wee it's been a minute! Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe! Bye again I guess lol.
  18. Would love to join but I'm online so infrequent these days. Hope you guys have a blast and will be reading along when I can!
  19. You should be able to change it in your profile settings. At least once a year as well I believe.
  20. Good game Bob! Sorry it got so quiet at times, but I definitely had fun for my first mystery game. The idea of Ezra having a accomplice never occurred to me for some reason so I unfortunately never went looking for one.
  21. The inverted 1x1 bracket is attached to the floor, connected to it is the brown jumper plate, connected to that is the uninverted 1x1 bracket, and finally connected to that is the black tile. It's kinda hard to see, but I'm pretty sure the half cylinder is centered in the two-wide area on a 1x2 jumper plate
  22. You could replace the dark grey 1x2 inverted bracket plate with a 1x1 version and then put a uninverted 1x1 bracket next to it connected to the brown jumper and the black tile.
  23. My latest model is finished! Here's the Main Model Topic for anyone interested. [MOC] Midiscale Modular Office Building & Beauty Supply Store With Country Shop Also here's a quick pic of what I'm currently fiddling around with.
