"Back into Castle?" Like Legodad said, the people here ARE into Castle. The Lego Store in Phoenix, cant' keep the Castle Set or Prison Tower in stock, sold out the moment in arrives. I am starting to see some sets trickle into Targets now, but it's going strong. Hated the skelletons, Orcs were ok, Fantasy Knights were cool, MMV is and always will be AMazing and the new Kingdom sets are my favorite since the Black Falcons, thank you LEGO, thank you!

I also group old and new lion knights together as one faction along with Crusaders. The forest men and wolf pack usually band together for raids and will hire out to certain kingdoms as archers for the right price. However, the dragons knights I use as a seperate faction. I don't like the idea of them, the old dragon knights, black falcons being 1 faction. They are all different but will ally with each other to conquer territory. This is a good post, I like to read about what other people do as fars as grouping, ect.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I do want to keep them all but really want that Flagship. Sly Owl, great job on those sails. I really like that idea and I think I will try to make my own sails for the SES. :) No, this one I found in a lot I bought locally. That BSB looks awesome as an Imperial Ship, I hadn't thought of that, thanks for all the input.

Ok, so I know there are alot of threads about the New Imperial Flagship, but while this one does involve that set I have other questions as well, so I thought it deserved a thread of it's own rather than hijack someone elses. I will start it off by saying that I returned from the Dark Ages with Castle on my mind and at one point back around the turn of the century tried to sell off my soldier and pirate figs to buy castle, but no one bought them and now I am glad that I didn't sell them, because I collect both themes. My questions concern my fleet as it is and where I want it to be. I would have to say my overall goal is not to have 1 of every ship or multiples and I don't build my own ships using parts, I use them for display, play and creating mocs to take pictures of. I would like to have 2 solid Pirate ships and some ships to fight them. I also like the idea of pitting british against frogeaters and throwing some Spaniards in the mix... I would really appreciate the advise and comments of people who have large fleets and tell me what works for them, why they got rid of said ships and why they kept others. Ok, what I have is 1 X BrickBeard's Bounty 1 X Caribean Clipper 1 X Armada Flagship- Builing right now 1/4 X Skull's Eyes Schooner Hull, and about 20% of pieces, no sails masts ect. 1 X Red Beard Runner -Building right now 1 X Black Seas Barricudda (Arriving via Harry Potter Trade this weekend) Ok, so you can see I have a small start to a fleet. Right now I'm loaded on Pirate Ships and lacking anything to really chase them. I've always wanted teh BSB since my friend had it when we were little so I'm pretty sure that that one is going to stay, so things I am contemplating are: Selling Red Beard Runner and Carribean Clipper to get Imperial Flagship? I like the Carribean Clipper but it's going to be too small to chase BSB, right? Buy parts for SES and sell it and RBR to get the Flagship? Or do I really need the New Flagship, I could sell the RBR to fix up SES and buy old Imperial Flagship and throw extra mid sections in that and the clipper? Or, fix up SES and BSB and use them as my Pirate Boats and turn the BBounty into an Imperial Boat like Captain H said in another thread. I can't get rid of the Armada ship, even though it's tiny, so that one stays. So hopefully you all can chime in and tell me what ships work for you and perhaps the people who have all of them can tell me which one's they would keep and sell? And finally, is the New Flagship worth selling of other ships to get? Thanks for you time,

As far as I know the accessories like shields, swords, hats, hair and even heads are all the same quality plastic found in the regular sets. The legs and hands are definately different and in some cases (pirate tic-tac toe) the red torsos on the soldiers is a dark pink rather than Red.

Hmmmm..... I really don't like the idea of Flesh colored skin Tainting Pirate Legos. Especially when they show the tan skin on the shirt...arrrrrhhhhhh. I am excited for a Lego Black Pear. Seeing what they do for soldiers, soldier fort will be cool, and the Elizabeth Swann fig might become the hottest Minifig ever

Daniel's Dad, I am also a big "Lots of Minifigs" guy but have refused to buy the Battlepacks because like others have said, the legs are terrible and the hands don't grip as well. If your old like me and are used to quality ABS plastic, you won't like them. Kids really can't tell a difference or don't care, but I think you will. I also refuse to pay Bricklink prices so here is some advice I've posted in other threads but will share with you, because I think you are trying to collect both Lion and Dragon Knights. Take advantage of the TRU Buy One Get one Half off sales. They have had two in the past 30 days and will probably have another one before Christmas. You can buy mulitple Sets of the Prison Carriage and with the BOGO it comes out to $16.50 for 6 Knights, 2 Horses with Unicorn Armor and pieces. And all parts are regular hard ABS plastic. Now compare that to a $15 battle pack with no extra pieces besides weapons and armor and no Horses, and you will have the cheap legs and hands. Good luck in your hunt for more men, I hope people keep buying these and force Lego to create more factions.

Going through a bin of classic town/space stuff and would rather have classic castle or pirate stuff or sell this stuff off to buy the other stuff. I just finished building Lego Train Set - 7834 Looking for 5 pieces to be 100% complete, pretty sure I have them There is another train set with alot of track if anyone is interested, I'll check the number and put it together. Lots of classic space manuals and people so I'm assuming...about 6 small sets and a large ship should be int there complete.. so if your looking for a particular set, let me know what it is and I'll see if I have it

Dude, if you could take a pic or 2 that would be helpful. Don't have that set and didn't plan on getting it, but depending on how 1 castle looks with them, maybe I'd do that and then 6 more Prison Carts. No, 4 is too big for me...2 will be just right. I was thinking of The Old Kings Castle..that I have and the Knights Castle...yes they had the wall pieces, but no stickers or other large parts. I'm not bashing the set, I LOVE it.

Yeah, when building it for the first time this past Tuesday, I felt at times " Why do then need to use this BIG piece?" Being used to building old castles with lots of little 2x1's it felt like Lego was catering to younger audiences. And then the stickers bugged me, as it dawned on me how much I missed printed stones on walls. But after I put it all together, I realized how much I love the design. My only regret is that I didn't get 2!!! I got a 2nd Dragon tower at Half off to make a bigger fortress for them instead of a 2nd castle. I will get another castle to make it a bit larger....Love the set...really do. I reccomend you get two :)

Here is my Lion Knight Army from the Kingdoms Theme. I think it's almost maxed out. I don't like having so many that it takes forever to set up and it's hard to play with alot. Need about 8 more archers, breastplates and barding. If you havn't got any of the Kingdoms sets yet, "What are YOU waiting for?"

Employees at the 3 I went to didn't even know about it. They told me there was no sale, I asked them to scan 2 sets and like the others said, THEY ARE BOGO %50 right now. So if you were going to buy a LEGO set, now's the time to do it. Buy a King's Castle and get a Temple of Doom for $50, sounds like a deal to me.
