  1. I love the replys keep them coming. I'm glad I'm not alone. Hinckley you crack me up, Lego diet! Nice. I love the post about spending the money on the lady and wondering what set you could of bought instead. Great stuff. Skipping meals ect.. I'm still laughing because I've done all of it. "Man can not live on legos alone, ..he has to have a cold beverage to wash them down!" :)
  2. Ever since I got back into lego, every time I spend money on other things like, food, clothes, gasoline I start to see it in legos. Like when I filled up the Gastank today, I was like "Crap, there just went half of a Fort Legoredo!" Or like when I went out to eat the other day I was like " If I go to Taco Bell and spend 3 dollars v.s. the 13 dollar sit down place, then I can put that money towards WW legos" I know some of you big timers have no problem with cash as I have seen the huge minfig armies. Do any of you out there who perhaps are short on cash like myself have this money problem? If so I would like to know, because I'm starting to think I might have a LEGO problem! :)
  3. Another great moc/building. I wish I had the time to build or is it that I don't make time :) Anyways, solid building and definately adds to the collection. I like to see you and BM cranking out Mocs. There are so many castle mocs but the WW theme is often left in the dust when it comes to mocing. The one thing that does contrast is the tan baseplate and the greyscale photo that you use for the background. Have you tried using a grey baseplate for the mocs so it blends it better with the background photo? THe picture your using for the background gives it that spooky haunted nightime effect and then the tan baseplate just doesn't look right. Love the details right up to the jackolantern. Keep em coming, I always get excited when you post a new moc. The Apache Kid
  4. Props to the artist. They make me want to go there. Give up the smelly gasoline cars, deadlines, meetings, pollution, fast food and pick up the blade and slay some orc. Great Moc great design!
  5. I really like this vig nice job. Skellies are weak and one knight should be able to wipe out these weak skellies!
  6. Gracias boys, yes the comic would be fantastic but my photoshop is down and I can't download photoshop to my work computer. I'm glad you like the pics, it was fun to set the figs up in the dusty Arizona Desert.
  7. San Frisco lies in wait to shoot some blue bellies
  8. Ok WW fans, you asked for it. I was able to get off work and get out into the desert before the sun went down and here are some battle scenes..... El Jefe Corporal Davis a Sargent O'Brien They drink, they burp, and they wait..... Pinned down.... Fighting back
  9. Muy bien... love the detail on the inside of the rooms. That red tile roof is NICE.
  10. Thanks for the compliments my lego brethren. I was able to catch that awesome sunset light. But as I was setting up the figures and the wind kept knocking down some of the cavalry and was losing light fast. I was able to snap some decent pics before I lost the light. I will definately take the figs back out into the desert for some battle scenes. To answer the question on the camera it's just an old Olmpus 3.2 Mgpxl camera with a pretty good zoom. I bought an exepensive Cannon this past summer but it's heavier and the Olympus takes pretty good pictures and I can just throw it in the pack and go. I'll post some more when I get out there again. Keep those imaginations going, and enjoy the bricks!
  11. Yes, I took some minifigs out inot the dirt. Last week while running the dogs I noticed a real sweet spot that would be a perfect place to shoot an ambush scene. I almost ran out of light, but got a few pics. I wish I had more time to moc with bricks, but this will have to sastisfy your appetites for now. Peace The cavalry trails the bandits across the hot sonoran desert Cut...who let the dogs out? Crack....kaaaapich...there everywhere...Sir, I'm HIT......FALL BACK MEN! BUGLER, SOUND RETREA.................ARGGGHHHH........
  12. Hinklcy, great review, thanks for taking the time to post it. I enjoyed seeing the pictures and will probably get this set because I like the ideas of official lego darves, I like mines, and I like having some non human enemies to slay. I'm not big into the seketons so this is perfect. Time to slay some ORC. And I really do like the troll.
  13. :) That would be a fun job to wake up to!
  14. Muchas Gracias! Glad you guys like them.
  15. Nice, I looked for that treasure for a while. Nowadays, I only hike into the superstitions once a year to experience the ruggedness.
  16. I bought some used fireman assembled torsos for 30 cents and thought they might make a decent officer. These would look better with white hands for gloves, but I don't have any left. The buttons are big and simple which I like and could be used in the pirate theme as well. The pic is horid but I'm not getting it back out, it's late.
  17. New Moc? NICE! The suspense is killing me AZ, did you get to get out into the rural parts? I'm in North Phoenix now, but grew up south in Tucson. I've hiked and camped all over the state, and grew up loving the history and culture. Guess thats why WW legos are my favs. Yeah camelback does have nice views, but too many people for me.
  18. Thanks Brickster. You can't beat the price, and I love having a dirty ugly army for my cavalry to slaughter 8-
  19. Miner, glad to see your back. Hadn't seen you post in a while. Alot of factors slowed down the customization part of my life. Work started up, *sniff, the endless summer must end, and I can't get online with my personal computer or use photoshop, virus. I'm going to have to reformat, so I can use photoshop. I've got a pack of decal paper ready to go, but only have those two torso's drawn. I want to design some custom faces terrain- yes, I'm out in good ol AZ, I've got great natural landscapes! Next move- I've got two custom hats that I sculpted and need to sand them down before I try to cast them in resin. I am going to start working on some Apache headgear (longish hair with a bandana.) and a Mexican somberro would be NICE! I toyed around with a bonnet, like you had suggested, but I think that might be hard to cast.
  20. I figured their had to be some use for those cheap tusken raider torsos still available on Bricklink (I bought a 100 for ten bucks). It seems the price has doubled for a tusken torso assembly as of late, but you can still get just the torso cheap and find some tan arms elsewhere. I played around with different heads and combos and here is what I came up with. Enjoy... "Give us yer Gunz, yer Gold, and your Women. And then maybe we won't burn your village. Comprede?"
  21. In honor of the Brickster. "El Diablo!" Two more converted WW figures. The one on the left has become my Cattle Baron while the other a hired gun. Lego Cattle would be nice.
  22. Norro, Errorist, many thanks! 3 versus 1, hardly fair!
  23. Reb, Cactus Jack, and Mexican Bob emerging from there hideout. My dog found a gopher hole at the GF's house and he dug it out. I said " That looks like a cave, BINGO!"
  24. Brickster, a closeup of Cherokee Bill. A half-breed son of a gun who has no qualms over shooting minifigs in the back. He carries a sharps breechloader, cherokee breastplate, and union pants. Some say he served in a Sharpshooter regiment from Ohio during the War. Others report that he had no part in the war, and probably either killed a soldier or took them off a dead one. Cherokee Bill is a crack shot with his Sharps. He has never had the use for a pistol, but does carry a knife if the fighting gets close. An excllent tracker, marksmen, and horsebreaker. He usually is a loner, drifting from one gang of outlaws to the other, he prefers to loot, rob, and steal horses on this own.
  25. Aye, indeed Tiber and Phes, a picture is worth a 1000 words!
