  1. You can make nice mocs from galidor parts though..
  2. Here's an update! Here we can see the hood a little bit modified, the seat which is still a work in progress... The rear differential coming together. And the front steering mechanism starting to build out.. Still waiting for parts in the mail. Here's a rough "slap them together" of what it'll start to look like:
  3. Nah, the BB makes a convincing modern engine.. Maybe we could pretend that it's an electric tractor of the future. Yeah the hood is inspired from it but not completely 100% copied. The hood needs to fit between the wheel arches. It's not going to be a very high quality moc but it'll be a good big project. I'm working with what i have.
  4. Jamie hyneman?
  5. I actually don't have a tractor for inspiration. I'm making this completely on the go. Let's see what wacky thing i come up with. We could pretend it's a futuristic tractor That's a nice idea. I'd like to think that the tractor has attachment points at least on the rear that you could attach pretty much anything that you can attach to a tractor and make it run by it. Well i did order bigger rear tires than the front but both are at the scale where you need those 3 pin bearings. The front will be steering and i'll add a steering rack that'll be operated trough the tractor cab. It'll either be the steeringwheel itself or a work light on the roof that you manually twist to turn it.. I'll probably add the accessory shaft behind the rear tires and have a switch that'll either move the tractor forwards or spin the accessory shaft.. I might add an additional shaft to the front. My biggest problem here is that i only have one set which was the bucket wheel excavator. But i've been ordering specific parts from brickowl and i'm slowly building a chassis. The hood was the easiest part to build though. It has a very slim appearance and it covers the battery box nicely. I might modify the grille a little bit and add more lights to it though.. I haven't decided how to do the exhaust yet. And to be honest, i don't have the right parts to even build an exhaust for this. I'll just keep building till i need more parts.
  6. WIP pictures: The hood is halfway done and it'll stay open!
  7. I'm gonna build a tractor. Yeah. Woo. It's going to be pretty large. I ordered big tires with those 3 stud wheel bearings. I'm thinking about what functions to add and how to implement them. Basically, i'm going to add a piece that you can attach stuff in the rear like a normal tractor. And add a drive shaft that you can connect another driveshaft into. Since the scale is going to be larger, i'm probably going to put the battery box under the hood and power everything with a large motor.. What i'm currently going with is: Big motor and geared down so it's very slow but torquey. Steering will be operated by twisting a knob. Maybe on the roof disguised as a work light. Should i keep the tractor itself only having two functions? (Manual steering and electric rear wheel drive) and just add the rear axle piece so i can attach a custom tool to the tractor? What i'm thinking about is having a big log saw mill that's powered by the tractor accessory drive shaft.
  8. I wonder if anybody has made mocs using the slizer/throwbot torsos? The one in judge/jet in particular.
  9. You could just use shoulder armor attached on the shortest CCBS socket joint and rest it over the arm.
  10. How do you know what the new vader looks like when i can't find any pics from google?
  11. Original bionicle had cool bikes though.
  12. Now that's cool! Thumbs up from me!
  13. My biggest problem with CCBS armor pieces is that the backside is wide open and not covered by anything.. If it was all around armored then it would look great.. It's just that the shorter CCBS parts can only be attached with a single armor piece. I've only used CCBS for upper legs and built the lower part completely from technic and using a bohrok or G1 bionicle foot.
  14. Hello tyndale. Do you have any idea what kind of mocs you'd be interested at? I personally like doing mechas but i did some bionicle style mocs before.. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I've cracked a way how to make a twistable torso by using the 3x3 size turntable. I'd be interested if you can figure out a different way to build it. I'm currently having two mechs built simultaneously. Going to post pics soon as my parts arrive in the mail. What i do have complete however is the lower torso and the upper legs. Other one has full finished legs and the other is still being worked on.. The most important part i'm waiting for in the mail is the visorak lower body technic piece. It's a great platform to build from when you attach it to the turntable.
  15. How about 6 neutral mechs that kíds can fight 3v3 or 2v2v2 battles with and the accessorie packs could have measuring sticks build from lego and lego dice and a rulebook. Board game and actionfigure combined.
  16. That's a nice 3x3 missile pod right there. Easy build for mad cat shoulders. The orby face of the cordak missile sure gives a strong illusion of a missile. I've used gray half pins for missiles and blue half pins for lasers in my micro scaled mech mocs.
  17. A great Ultra AC20 + side torso piece is using these:
  18. Burned trough 56 euros.. (This includes postage) Ordered 153 parts in total. Going to make an army of technic/ccbs mechs.
  19. Part number for this piece please. EDIT: Shoulda re-read it more thoroughly.. Visorak torso.
  20. I wonder how i could attach them to make it look like a missile pod.. I could attach them to the right or left torso area to simulate long range missiles. Awesome! Gotta keep look out for your post for inspiration. I currently disassembled all my mechs and i'm starting over but this time i ordered 30 euros worth of parts (including lots of turntables). Just for mechs. I think they work like tanks. The legs move in a direction while the torso is pointing to another. EDIT: This part makes for a really amazing 3 piece rocket launcher.. Just add half studs and connect to the mech. You could use two of these to make the right and left torso part and just attach the arm to the other connector and the center torso to the other and you'll have vertical missile launchers in both sides. Problem is, this part costs over 9 euros.
  21. Simple but effective design.. I would swap the axles to the 3 long axles with the half stud end. EDIT: Thanks Leewan. Very simple but extremely effective design.
  22. If you have a toa mata minus the head sized mech made from technic pieces, how would you make a missile battery? What i'm looking for something like this: Without using system parts.. Is it even possible to make a missile launcher on technic pieces? Share your weapon ideas. (I'm making mech warrior styled combatants out of CCBS and technic and i'm trying to figure out different styles of weapons to add.) Even if it sounds terrible, i've started to think about just gluing 1x3 technic beams together to make a 2x3 or 3x3 technic beam and gluing a black stud or something to attach it to a moc.. But before doing anything irreversible, i'd like to get some input how to tackle missile weapons on technic mocs.
