What makes the set with the blind minidoll great is that it is a perfectly regular set. In the case of 60154 (the City set with the girl in a wheelchair) they had to design the whole set around the wheelchair: ramp at the bus stop, special doors on the bus - which made glaring that Lego buses usually aren't wheelchair accessible. But if you replaced the blind minidoll here with any other minidoll, the set would stay exactly the same.

LEGO Ideas Discussion
teljesnegyzet replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Interesting. I thought everybody's goal was reaching 10k and eventually see their project becoming an official set. It's my goal as well. I have never thought of it as some kind of arrogance. In fact, the guidelines of CUUSOO used to say: "Your project should be positioned as a new product concept. LEGO CUUSOO is not a gallery to display your creations (try the LEGO.com Create & Share Galleries and ReBrick instead)." The current guidelines also contains this sentence, albeit pretty hard to find: "If you’re looking for a gallery to show off your creations, please post to LEGO Life." -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

The colour scheme gives me a "Winter Village Fishing Store" feel. -
There was once a theme that was essentially Duplo Technic: https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Duplo/subtheme-Toolo

Emma is wearing a pajama? It indicates a Polar Express-type scenario. That would allow the portrayal of Liz, Andrea's sister.

LEGO Ideas Discussion

I think the leaked Super Mario NES set might have been the reason behind the rejection of the Clockwork Aquarium, as they are both a box and have somewhat similar mechanism. -
Well, I may have misunderstood what you want, but it seems pretty straightforward to me. I've created a quick mock-up, just reproduce it with the correct dimensions.

Yes, it looks like no raffle this year. But I agree, we can post pictures of our holiday MOCs nevertheless. What about if this year's topic was "Christmas Around The World"? Show the traditions that are unique to your country or your family! There is no deadline and no prizes.

The LEGO Movie 2 SPOILER thread
teljesnegyzet replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I was loving the movie until the scenes of the mother. She made me so angry that I couldn't enjoy the rest of the movie. "Oh, you dropped an object from your hand? You are forbidden to search for it!" "Are you quarreling with your sibling that is normal in every family? Destroy everything you had worked for in the last 5+ years as a hobby!" And of course, "Don't you dare to give me any information, I know everything better without it!" The character development of the father was really good in the first movie, it was one of the moments that made the movie a classic. It really annoys me the mother didn't have to change her point of view in the second one.- 69 replies

They said the title would be a spoiler. I don't see how.

[Lego Movie] was rex dangervest a construction worker?

Rex is intentionally Emmet's cooler counterpart. They are both voiced by Chris Pratt. -

Sweet Mayhem's skin colour is probably a shout-out to the Amazing Technicolor Population of doll lines like Equestria Girls and Monster High. Put Starfire's hair on her and you get Pinkie Pie. -
Erling Dideriksen is one of the most famous LEGO designers and the only person who has a brick named after him. Yet surprisingly little is known about him and his work. There are no interviews with him. Pieces of information that I managed to collect: - (obviously) He invented the Erling brick (Design ID 4070, "Angular Brick 1X1") in 1979. - He is listed on 23 LEGO patents as the inventor. - He was a Chief Designer on the LEGO City range. - He was the first boss of Steen Sig Andersen (designer of 10187 Volkswagen Beetle). - There are some photos of him on Facebook and Brickshelf. Unfortunately I haven't found anything else, althought it's clear that he is an important person in LEGO history. Is there anything else known about him?

Yup, that definitely looks like a minidoll to me.

The main concept for this MOC is one tower per decade. Although I also like the amazing technicolor knights of Knights Kingdom 2, I think that Fantasy Era has a better concept with its fantasy elements, so I've chosen that for the 2000s.

I already had the concept of "little castles from different subthemes" last year, but I didn't have the time to build it. Not long ago, I realised that the Yellow Castle will be 40 years old in 2018. I've put the two things together, and created a Lego Ideas project to commemorate this anniversary of the Castle theme. The concept of this MOC is similar to the 4002016 set: recreate some of the iconic castles of the Lego Castle history in smaller size. I've chosen a castle set from each decade from the 1970s to the 2010s and created a little tower that resembles that set. It was built in LDD and rendered in Bluerender. It was the first time I tried Bluerender, and I'm quite satisfied with it, but the texturing of the missing minifig and shield decals was pretty time consuming.
