Nice MOC, but it looks a little too similar the Expedition Balloon. Still good though and a great first try. I really love the dwarf engineer, reminds me of Warcraft 3

Speaking of Arkham Asylum, I just bought it for $70NZ (around $55US). I should be able to pick it up tommorow *wub*
-
I'll assume they'll come out once the dwarf/orc wave of sets has finished, much like the first wave. They're probably doing that so that we have to buy the proper sets, unless we want to wait another 5 months or so for the battle packs :-/

Sorry if this has been posted, but here's the 2008 city calendar :-$

Thanks sam *wub* I'll only be getting Mr Freeze's escape and the Tumbler. The sub set looks to me like worse versions of the two vehicles in the Batcave, and despite the Harley fig, the vehicles look too much like the agents vehicles (not a good thing :-/ ). I havn't got the Joker or Mr Freeze minifigs, and I love the tumbler and ice cream truck (even if it's nothing compared to waves 1 and 2). Isn't that just a trans-red stick with a trans-green cone? It looks to me like it's connected to the cart itself, I can't see it on the pics of the minifigs alone. I could be wrong though :-$

Day 1 The inhabitants of Gold City gathered around their trusted mayor, who clearly had something important to say. The noise of the townspeople died down as the mayor's booming voice echoed throughout the city. "This town is in great peril! Many a bandit has made this town their home, and now, something has to be done. As the mayor, I have come up with a solution - we will all search the town, trying to route out the outlaws, and finally free this town of evil. Anyone we find suspicious will be hanged. Now, harden your hearts for the coming task. Once this is all over, we will once again be able to roam freely without the threat of bandits!" The crowd cheered, despite the mayor's flawed system. For their spirits had been uplifted, and they would follow the mayor's plan the all the way, or die trying. The townspeople walked back to their homes, and so, presumeably, did the bandits. Six votes to lynch

Thanks everyone :-) :-D Hey, he's a hero who fearlessly went into the labrynth to kill the minotaur, and suceeded. He shouldn't be scared X-D Hmm. In the one I read, (As Wout said) the princess of Crete gave him it so that he could find his way out again. Perhaps the one you mentioned is another interpretation of the story. Thanks again ;-)

Thanks for the extra pics natelite, I love how each corner has a small building for each faction *wub* I can't decide whether to keep this as a chess set, or use the great pieces and minifigs elsewhere. I suppose I'll have to get two :-| :-P Empty Wallets ON!

*wub* *wub* *wub* Surely that cannot be a real set.. I mean, accesories all around the sides, great landscaped borders and bases, actual towers/horses for rooks/knights, thrones for king/queen - Look, even a mining gorund to add to Dwarf Mining and a dragon head coming out of the side. No, this has to be an MOC. However, if this is a real set, my respect for TLC has greatly improved *wub* EDIT: Looking at those instructions, the orc siege tower doesn't look as good as I first thought. The huge wheels make it look far too bulky at the bottom, and the top is plain. However, the working bridge and ram make up for that. The tower looks pretty good, I love the new cage doors and the table with crystal looks nice. Does anyone know if the wall at the bottom is supposed to fall over? It has two technic pins and tiles, so I'm supposing so.. The Attackship looks better than expected, I like the spikes coming out from the cabin and the way the two small boats can attach to the sides. the cage and drum is nice too. I'm still not too sure about the dragon though, and that spring fire missile launcher won't be going anywhere near my ship :-/ Nice to get the hull in the new brown too :-)

Functioning Sweeney Todd Barber Chair
MagPiesRUs replied to SirNadroj's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Another nice MOC, Nadroj. I love the use of the peglegs and legs (even if it does look like the customer is squashing a red panted man X-D ), and it seems to work well too. Great job *y* Do you plan on swapping this chair with the chair in your Mrs Lovett's pie shop? -
Ok, everyone has confirmed, I'll start the day tommorow. This is the last chance for anyone who still wants to sign up
-
Nice work, Brickster *y* Nice how you incorporated the motorcycle and race for the stolen treasure into your MOC. This looks as if it could be a lego set, with the back open for playability and other nice features. My favourite detail is the telephone wire *sweet* My one critique would be the use of the red/green/white container and the green under the flag. Other than that, great job, it looks great *y*

Needless to say, I like the Total War series.. :-$

Ok, here's Smog, surveying the scene from atop the garage... ... Before springing into action! Many a piece of string have fallen victim to her unmatched hunting skills... >:-)

It was very tough deciding, but I voted Fat Tony for his great catamaran. That skeleton cage is stunning *wub* Good luck everyone, may the best looter win :-)

Oops, you're right. For some reason I thought the background looked like the sewers, but now I realise it's outside the bar :-$ Nevertheless, I can't wait to see a Toht and mechanic figure. That will hopefully give us a black feodora and a nice muscly torso *wub*

This MOC is based on the myth of the Athenian king Theseus. Every nine years, Minos of Crete would take seven Athenian boys and seven Athenian girls and leave them in his maze, where a minotaur, half man half bull; would kill them. After a while, Theseus decided to fight the minotaur himself, and sailed to Crete. He used a ball of string so that he could find his way out of the maze once he had killed the minotaur. Here it is: Theseus' string: Theseus finds the Minotaur: Walls: Minifigs: Grrr! Enjoy! Feedback appreciated ;-)

No, sorry for the confusion, the game hasn't exactly started yet. Once everyone's confirmed that they're playing, I'll PM you your roles. I'll assume that you two have confirmed then X-D

No, post it here in bold (eg. Vote: Name). This gives the player a chance to defend themselves, at which point you can unvote.

Gold City is a place where bandits roam freely, and take what they please from the good people of the town. Although the Sherriff and his deputy can sometimes bring law to the lawless folk, but the gangs of bandits are far too numerous to be completely destroyed. The Mayor agrees something needs to be done. He announces that every day, the towns-people will vote on who will be lynched. Finally, order could be restored in Gold City. Groups and Roles There are several groups - the citizens of Gold City and a few gangs of bandits. Everyone will be assigned a different role. No one knows each others roles. The town wins when all of the bandits are gone. The bandits when all of the town and rival gangs are gone. Lynching A day lasts until someone is lynched. Someone is lynched when the majority of the players have voted them out. This includes the bandits. To vote, please follow this example: Vote: Name (This must be in bold to be counted) To unvote, use this example: Unvote (see above) Night Time and Special Actions Once a person is lynched, night-time follows, which will last about 2 days real life. During the night, the sherriff and some of the bandits will be able to PM me the name of the person they want to kill, and they will have a chance of killing them. If they don't PM me before the day starts up again, they will miss out. More Rules - Don't edit posts or you will be given a warning. Edit again and you will be killed automatically. (I suppose I'll just have to trust those that don't have a message at the bottom when they post). - No speaking about the game outside of this thread. - Once you are dead, you can't post anymore in this thread. - Do NOT reveal your role to others unless you are close to being lynched. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Inhabitants of Gold City - Tanotrooper - TheBrickster - Trexxen - Piranha - lukeiamyourfather - Quarryman - Captain Ka-Boom - Capn Kirk 911 - wouwie13 The Graveyard - ricecracker: Was clearly loved by all of the town. R.I.P. (Townie) Have fun everyone :-)

Sorry if this has already been posted, but here are some prelim pics of the Indiana Jones game. It shows Toht, Nazi mechanic and Elsa (?). Hopefully we'll see these characters in plastic soon *sweet* More pics here

You should be able to find them by clicking on the instructions here and here ;-)

It looks like the dwarf in the Attackship has a wingless silver helmet. But I agree, the Dwarf Defender should have a different coloured or molded beard. It also would've been great to get a bornze axe or hammer, as the only way to get them are in the Dwarf Mining set. Looking at the siege tower again, I'm a little dissapointed that there doesn't seem to be something to hold the bridge of it up, unlike in Vladek's Siege Engine. Beside that and the flick fire missiles, I can't find any fault about the Tower set, it's great *wub* I may be a little late for the discussion of the new knight torso, but it makes a great squire.

For me, it was a toss up between Al Freddo and oo7. Both are evry well detailed and look stunning, but in the end I chose Al Freddo. The wonderfully realistic walls did it for me *wub* Best of luck everyone :-)

*wacko* I don't know what you guys are talking about, look: :-P
