In this time of crisis, Rurik (Rick) had relapsed, returning to his old ways. No longer satisfied with just mushrooms, Rurik had turned to harder drugs. Because you can't spell "Hero in Valhalla" without "heroin". Rurik wandered over to a bush, where he sought to relieve himself... But unfortunately he missed and hit Hervi's ugly grave instead. Having done this, Rurik slumped onto a tree for the night. He gazed up at the stars, in awe of their beuty... Suddenly, Rurik found himself looking up at an angry swordsman... ... Who stabbed poor Rurik in the chest. Meanwhile, Canute Greybeard (CallMePie) was on a mission. He took a peep inside someone's quarters... But unfortunately, he didn't receive a warm welcome. Later that night, Cranebeinn (Chromeknight) came across Canute's body. Not heeding the warning signs, he too entered the quarters... In a rage, the figure lunged at the young warrior... Poor Cranebeinn was no more. Morning came, and the few remaining warriors entered the hall. Ragnar began to address the crowd. "Rurik was found dead outside our walls. He was a Loyal Einherjar. "We also found Canute and Cranebeinn dead in the hallway. They were both Loyal Einherjar. "... And Petrus Fire-Starter (Pandora) was a Loyal Einherjar." Final Vote Count Petrus Fire-Starter - 6 votes (CallMePie, Dragonator, Scouty, Waterbrick Down, Capt. Redblade, Palathadric) Canute Grey-Bush (CallMePie) - 5 votes (Scubacarrot, Rick, Pandora, WhiteFang, Chromeknight) Although it had inexplicably taken a day to do so, Harald had finally reached the hall. He arrived to find that the einherjar had erupted in an outpouring of violence. Everywhere he looked, the warriors were fighting one another. But as the day closed out, the majority had come to a decision. They presented Petrus Fire-Starter (Pandora) to Ragnar. Having been separated from his beloved flame-thrower, Petrus was so agitated that even his shield began to show some stress. Harald had realised that nothing had changed since his hiatus. He could only watch in horror as Petrus was beaten to death by Ragnar. It is now night. You have 48 hours to send in your night actions.

The sword-wielding figure was waiting outside the walls for their target... It wasn't long before a cloaked figure arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, they hadn't realised they were being stalked... Inevitably, the figure with the sword cut off their target's head and left them for dead. It was morning when Harald arrived back at Valhalla. He was greeted with a terrible sight at the gates. The head of Beorn Ale-Lover (Bob) had been had been placed atop a pike with the rest of the scum. He was a Servant of Loki Dagrun (Darkdragon)'s head had joined them overnight. Ragnarök Now - Confirmation & Discussion Thread

A conclusion has been posted for Day Five. Right now, you've got 24 hours left to send in your night actions. -
As the sun began to set, the einherjar stopped their fighting and came to another last minute decision. Beorn Ale-Lover (Bob), believing the day to be over, was already getting soused. Before Beorn knew what was happening, the rest of the einherjar were upon him. As field began to darken, the einherjar headed back to the hall, leaving a broken and bloodied Beorn behind. Meanwhile, Thor had taken his new buddy Harald with him to see Odin. They found him interrogating Loki on the rock he was imprisoned on. Loki looked up at his captor and laughed. "I will never tell you who I have employed. I have nothing left to lose. You have failed, Odin. As we speak, your beloved einherjar are murdering another of their own. Valhalla has grown old and decadent. Your warriors have been locked up in that abattoir of theirs for too long. They have lost their minds. And now, they have turned on each other instead of their proper enemies. They do not care for your cause, Odin. All they are loyal to is the taste of battle. Face it, Odin. One day, this world of yours will end. And we will all be better off for it." "You are the only one who would be better off, Loki," Odin said, "Forever, I shall be fighting and drinking. And forever, you shall be spat on by snakes." "We shall see, my friend," Loki replied, "We shall see." Realising his visit had been useless, Odin walked away. Harald joined him, hoping to finally learn of his mission. "How is Ragnar doing?" Odin inquired, "has he agreed to cease playing this 'mafia game' he speaks of?" "I'm afraid not," Harald replied, "he continues to kill the men among us indiscriminately." Odin halted, "then kill him. I am sure he was working with good intentions at first, but every man has their breaking point. Ragnar has reached his. And very obviously, he has gone insane." With that, Odin walked off, leaving Harald to ponder his orders. It is now night. You have 48 hours to send in your night actions.

As Harald rode across the country in search of Odin, he came across a sight to behold. A band of trolls were fleeing in terror as Thor thundered through the skies. "Dun dun-dun DUN-DUNN, dun dun-dun DUN-DUNN, dun dun-dun DUN-DUNN, dun-dun-DUNNN!" Thor hummed as he rained death and destruction down on his hapless foes. The trolls didn't stand a chance against the god of thunder. By the time Harald reached the scene, the battle was over. The Valkyries had rode out to pick off any stragglers. Thor dismounted from his chariot to greet him. "Do you smell that?" Thor asked, "troll limbs, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of troll arms in the morning. They smell like... hickory." "I'm trying to find Odin. Do you know where he is?" Harald asked. "He's gone to see Loki. I could take you there if you'd like," Thor offered. "Thank you." "It must be nice seeing some real action for a change, right? I'll bet the rest of the einherjar are locked up in their dark hall eating stale bread right now..." In actual fact, Ragnar had taken the remaining warriors outside for a spot of battling. Even though they no longer had a magical boar to heal their wounds, Ragnar decided it was for the best. They hadn't had a proper battle in days. Ragnar craved some action to distract him from the fact that he had played a major role in the deaths of so many his companions. Just last night, he had executed Stemid the Pale (Sandy), another Loyal Einherjar. Amid the fray, Finn the Squinter (fhomess) eyed down a battlefield target... However, he had failed to keep an eye on a cloaked figure that was creeping up behind him.... It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Finn was a Loyal Einherjar. Meanwhile, Erik the Boneless (Etzel) was pleased to find himself back in a battle. He sized up his opponent and charged... Suddenly Erik came to a halt. "Hey, I don't recognise you!" He said. Before he could react, the figure had cut him in half. "Pffft. Is that the best you can do?" Erik asked, "you think I need legs? I don't need legs! Come on!" It wasn't the best the figure could do. He proceeded to decapitate poor Erik. "If I were you, I'd quit now while I was a head," the figure suggested. "Fine," Erik sighed. He was a Loyal Einherjar. Thanks for playing, Hinckley, badboytje88 and Sisco! -
Bergulf (badboytje88) was happily spending his night howling at the moon like a wolf. He growled as he saw the dark figure that closed in on him. Bergulf was unwilling to go down without a fight. In an extraordinary feat of strength, he managed to pick up a large metallic boulder... ... Which he threw at the hooded figure. Unfortunately he wasn't a good shot, and the boulder flew straight over the figure's head... ... And hit Hervi's ugly grave instead, Having spent all his energy, Bergulf turned away from his attacker, hoping he would be given some time to catch his breath... But the attacker impatiently shanked their target in the back and headed back home. Bergulf was a Loyal Einherjar. Sigmund (Sisco) entered the hall, hoping to enjoy a little midnight feast. Pleased to find a few scraps still lying around from the afternoon, he quickly dug in... He was so engrossed with his chicken drumstick, he didn't hear the creaking floorboards above him. The dark figure lined up their target... ... And threw their sword into the back of Sigmund's neck. Morning arrived again and the einherjar crept into the hall. They were shocked to find Sigmund's dead body lying on one of the tables. "Fear not, my brave warriors. Sigmund was a Servant of Loki. Hervi Pudding-Head (Hinckley) was also a Servant of Loki." "Harald!" Ragnar called out, "there's scum all over my table. Clean him off." But Harald was nowhere to be found. He had left Valhalla, as Odin had ordered. He had received a mission, and when it was over, he'd never want another one. Vote Count Hervi Pudding-Head (Hinckley) - 16 votes (Dragonator, Scubacarrot, Palathadric, Scouty, Etzel, darkdragon, Rick, Pandora, Sandy, Bob, CallMePie, Capt. Redblade, Waterbrick Down, Sisco, WhiteFang, fhomess) Snotra Carrotface (Scubacarrot) - 1 vote (Hinckley) Non-voters - badboytje88, Chromeknight The hall had come to a decision. Hervi Pudding-Head (Hinckley) stepped forward to meet his fate. Ragnar rose from his throne. "Any last words?" he asked. "Oink oink", announced Hervi. Ragnar didn't know what this meant, but too impatient to hear any more, he swiftly swung his axe, sending Hervi's head rolling to the floor. A sudden cry of grief echoed through the hall. Filled with despair, someone grabbed a knife from the table, intending to end their life. The rest of the einherjar tried to stop it... ... But alas, poor Pernilla was no more. Outside the hall, Harald was resting. He'd only been there for three days, but he had already had enough of the bloodshed. He needed a break from it all. His moment of peace was interrupted by the cawing of a raven. Harald looked up to find another of Odin's ravens. It is now night. You have 48 hours to send in your night actions.
