Ragnarök Now Redux - Nights (Players Only)
MagPiesRUs replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
After leaving the company of Herburt the Norman, Thor had a plan that was gradually forming. The einherjar now had a trick up their sleeves, To recover Mjölnir from the frost giant thieves. In order to bring about the giants' demise, Thor infiltrated their hall in a clever disguise. Thor dressed himself up as a girl in a veil, Along with Petrus, Dragmall and Stemid the Pale. Cranebeinn and Carl sang Day Six carols, Whilst Erik and Bergulf snuck in with the barrels. Danr and Sveinn provided the giants with coasters, And Steinvoir acted like a seller of toasters. After the feast was over, the giants let out a cheer, And gifted their guest with the stolen Mjölnir. Having obtained his gift, Thor ripped off his gown, Then charged at the giants and went to town! At last, the giants had paid for their crimes, <Here's a placeholder for something that rhymes> Thor then said, after a job most stellar, "Pack your things, we're going to Valhalla!" Then, as he tore off the remnants of his dress, He announced, "never shall we never speak of this mess." Then mounting his chariot and riding off out of sight, He yelled, "Happy Day Six to all, and to all a good night!" -

'Twas the night before Day Six, and all through Valhalla, Not a creature stirred, not even this fella. But across the hall came a distant clink, The einherjar were up for a late night drink! Having quickly finished the mead, everyone sang a song, Even Snotra and Mursi were getting along! Canute rattled off stories to the rest of the hall, Whilst Wilhalm and Baulf said nothing at all; Chief Mursi made sure the turkey was well-prepared, While in a contest of manliness, facial hair was compared; As Helga tried to imitate the animals from her farm, Patrekr and Canute presented each other with a brand new polearm; Lefsi and Naemr discussed their days in the army, Whilst Baulf gave Helga a gift of salami; Snotra returned carrying fresh barrels of beer, But Wilhalm was more interested in the dangling chandalier; Harald looked on at the dancing and the eating of food, And even he was in a good mood... -
Ragnarök Now Redux - Day Five

Valhalla was abuzz as the einherjar prepared to celebrate Day Six Eve, which also happened to fall on winter solstice - the longest night of the year. For just a moment, the einherjar were able to forget all their troubles. The denizens of Valhalla had kept quiet for hours upon hours, and Finn held out hope that everyone had forgotten they'd convicted him by now. Unfortunately, his hopes were unfounded. Due to his continual winking, Finn lacked the peripheral vision to see the axe rapidly approaching... With a single swing, Finn's head was knocked clean off. The partying in the hall came to a sudden halt as Finn's head rolled across the floor. Had records been invented, one would have undoubtedly scratched at that moment. "Don't mind the decapitation folks, we'll have that cleaned up in no time," Harald announced, "Please, continue with the fun and merriment." -

/ Day One / Day Two / Day Three / Day Four / Rurik the Bastard (Rick) was resting in the halls of Valhalla, tired after a hard day shrooming. He had shroomed so long and shroomed so obscenely, he was worn out and slept upon the tables keenly. Rurik didn't notice the shadowy figure that was walking on the table - a severe breach of table etiquette. The figure raised their sword... Kablammo! Rurik was dead. The figure quickly escaped into the night, leaving Rurik's corpse and shrooms behind. As morning came, the rest of the einherjar crowded into the hall. They were shocked to find that Rurik the Bastard had been murdered. He was a loyal member of the Einherjar. To make matters worse, Harald revealed to the group that Dagstyrr the Fool (Darkdragon) was also one of the Einherjar. As Harald assumed the throne in Valhalla, the remaining einherjar came to the realisation that this could very well be their last day. Ragnarök was rapidly approaching... Ragnarök Now Redux - Day Four
MagPiesRUs replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
The sun was finally setting and the einherjar had come to a consensus. Dagstyrr the Fool (Darkdragon) was deemed a servant of Loki, and was to be put to death. "Wait," said Dagstyrr, reaching for a lyre, "if you truly have condemned me to death, at least let me perform my act one last time..." Elsewhere in Asgard, Thor and his companions were still in search of the stolen hammer Mjölnir. Suddenly, from out of the wilderness came a group of Norman warriors. "We do not get many travelers around these parts. Who are you?" asked the leader of the group. "I am Thor, Warder of Earth, Killer of Giants, Friend of Man. My companions and I are searching for something that was stolen from us. Have you seen anyone passing through these forests?" "We have not. You are welcome to stay at our hall for the night however. My name is Herburt Marred-Eye, and this forest is where my family lives." Thor and the einherjar accepted Herburt's offer. It was not long before they arrived at the Norman hall and everyone was drinking and feasting. "So," Herburt Marred-Eye began, "Thor, is it? What exactly is it that you are seeking?" "Mjölnir, my hammer," Thor answered, "We had heard reports of giants in these woods, no doubt the vile workings of Loki. We thought we had cleared the forest of all of them, but last night, Mjölnir had gone missing." "This is bad news indeed. Was this hammer important?" "Yes. I use it to cave people's heads in. It's very important. I suspect the giants want it in preparation for their final attack." "Final attack? Ragnarök, you mean?" "Indeed. Odin warns us that it is nigh. Loki infiltrated our hall last year, and no doubt he will try to do so again." "Loki... Yes... We once resided in the Halls of Freya, but Loki's presence began to seep into our lives. Many of our companions were driven to madness. We turned on each other, lynching our friends one by one. This is why we spend our days out here now. It is safe." "Well, you are welcome to join us back at Valhalla. You have my assurance that you will be safe there." "No, Thor! You may think it is, but it is not. As you say, Ragnarök is approaching. We are safe here. We will never leave this spot. This is our family's hall. It has been ours for seventy years, and it will be such until we are all dead." "But sooner or later, Herburt..." "No! We too once played mafia games. Just like you. But in Midgard, we lose! In the fields of Fólkvangr, we lose! In the halls of Sessrúmnir, we lose! But here... here, we don't lose. This piece of land, we keep it! We never lose it! Never! "You must learn this: you can never win... You may beat Loki today, but tomorrow, he will be back. Why can't you Valhallans learn from our mistakes?" "They can still win, uncle!" Herburt's niece interrupted. "No, they cannot," Herburt replied steadfastly. "They can!" retorted the niece. "Can't." "Can." "Can't." "They can! With the einherjar Valhalla has - with their strength, their bravery, their smarts - you could win if you wanted to!" "... Can't." Meanwhile in Valhalla, Dagstyrr's final performance had just concluded. It was an exquisite extravaganza, the likes of which would never be seen again in the halls. It went on for hours, but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Just as things seemed to be getting out of control, Harald beheaded Dagstyrr and called for an end to the festivities. -

It looks like Day Five will be delayed a little, but I'll try to get the Day Four conclusion up soon. Now that Christmas is approaching, I will probably extend Day Five for an extra 24 hours so that it runs from the 19th until the 23rd of December. After that, there will be a 3-4 day break and Day Six will resume around the 27th. Thanks! -

/ Day One / Day Two / Day Three / A now-familiar figure was roaming the halls in search of their victim once again. The axe-wielding figure came to the door that his target was behind and readied himself for what was to come... He went to open the door, but it wouldn't open. He pushed harder. The door was heavily reinforced tonight, and try as he might, it wouldn't budge. "Damn! If only my arm was stronger tonight..." the figure sighed. Another figure had less difficulty in finding their target however... Wary the Black (Waterbrick Down) did not hear the footsteps of the figure closing in behind him... Wary heard a whisper from behind him: "our master sends his regards. Die, traitor!" The figure then jerked their sword into Wary's neck. As Wary sunk to the ground in anguish, the shadowy figure escaped into the darkness... As morning came, the einherjar were welcomed with the familiar sight of a dead body in the hall... "My friends, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that Wary the Black was none other than a Neutral, attempting to take matters into his own hands... "The bad news is that after examining Dufa the Godless, it appears he was a Servant of Loki!... No, wait, that's also good news..." "The true bad news is that you still have a lot of work to do if you are to catch all of the Servants of Loki. I mean, the einherjar still have a lot of work to do... Wait... That's still not quite right... That is to say, WE still have a lot of work to do in order to catch all of the vile Servants of Loki! Yes, that's it!" Harald's ramblings were interrupted by a rumbling in the sky. "I will not hurt you or harm you," a thundering voice boomed down over Valhalla, "Just give me the hammer back. It was a good hammer and I like it. You know hard hard it is to find a hammer that you like." The voice continued to echo through the skies of Asgard... "I will not hurt you or harm you. Just give me the hammer back. It was a good hammer and I like it. You know hard hard it is to find a hammer that you like." Ragnarök Now Redux - Nights (Players Only)
MagPiesRUs replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Elsewhere in Asgard, Thor and his company were sleeping after a long day killing giants. It had been a tough few days, but Thor believed that they had finally cleansed the woods of the giant intruders. Whilst his comrades camped on the river bank, Thor vowed to never get out of the boat, and instead slept there. Silently, a giant emerged from the waters and peered into Thor's ship. Quickly and quietly, he plucked the hammer Mjölnir from the sleeping Thor's grasp. The giant was amazed that such a simple plan had worked. He slowly crept away into the darkness, confident that this prize would aid his kin in the coming war. It seemed as if Ragnarök was not far away... -

As the day came to a close, the einherjar had decided that Dufa the Godless (def) must die. Dufa was not listening however - he was more interested in learning how to get out of this Valhallan purgatory. "Dufa, you have been sentenced to death," Harald announced, "do you have anything to say for yourself?" "Pffft, whatever. Heathen," Dufa replied Dufa rose to his feet and announced before the hall, "I'd like to take this opportunity to say that you are all infidels and will burn in the eternal fires of hell for your misdemeanors. Thank you." "Booo!" the crowd answered, "die, you vile Servant of Loki!" "A servant of Loki?!" asked Dufa, outraged, "I am no one's servant but God's. Also, I don't even believe in Loki! There are serious flaws in this accusation..." Harald, having heard enough, swung his axe and lopped off Dufa's head. Dufa was very much dead. Darkness began to creep into the hall, and the einherjar readied themselves for the coming night. Surely their luck would improve? -

Sisco, jamesn and Fugazi, thanks for playing! -
Day One / Day Two Jarni Child-Sparer (jamesn) was ruminating in the hall. Harald had just informed everyone that Sigrid (Sisco) was one of the Einherjar. How many more of us must die? Jarni wondered. He had still not gotten over the loss of Kolgrima, whom he had become infatuated with as of late. If only I had married someone like that back in Novgorod, he thought. A shadowy figure advanced behind him... ... But Jarni was ready! Springing into action, he deflected his assailant's blow. With another swing of his axe, he disarmed his opponent... Jarni proceeded to push the figure down and hold them over the fireplace. "Wait! Wait!" the figure pleaded, "I'm under 18!" Jarni Child-Sparer gasped. "You may not be able to tell from my blackened visage, but I am in fact a child!" Jarni stepped back, unable to kill his attacker. "Away with you, fair child. I am a man of principle, and I will not harm you." As Jarni began to walk away however, the figure recomposed itself and reached for its sword again. The figure lunged at Jarni and caught him in the back. Jarni Child-Sparer was ended. He was a loyal Einherjar. Meanwhile, another shadowy figure was ascending a ladder. Ready to go about their bloody business, the figure crept across the balcony. Finally, they came to their target. Silently, the figure closed in on Gofraid the Foog (Fugazi). However, Gofraid had been prepared for such attacks. "I shall not be slain on Night Two!" yelled Gofraid, "not this time!" Charging at the axe-wielding figure, Gofraid thrust his attacker against the balcony. With all their might, however, the axe-wielding figure gained the upper hand and began to push Gofraid back towards the window. With a thundering crash, both warriors burst through the window of Valhalla and tumbled out... Both warriors plummeted down to the ground. *THUD!* The axe-wielding figure pulled themselves to their feet and stumbled away from the scene as quickly as possible. The sun began to rise, but Gofraid did not. He was a member of the Einherjar.
