  1. Nice scene BD! I like these palm trees and these sceptres with skulls and axes. Who's this mysterious hood man? He has an emerald, maybe I could find some clue in Oleander archives. Also, I'm glad to see our brave mousquetaires are implied in this nefarious affair are there to defend the honour of the King.
  2. Thank you CG! I have to pay more attention to the details, and when we talk about details, there's one I've neglected when taking photos, LaGaufre should not have put his hat again, the wet hat will give him a bad headache, literally.
  3. Nice little build, I like the counter/window, and the tiled floor. A bank is really a good idea, our compatriots won't have to bury their gold in the garden anymore.
  4. Aie, that looks painful. Good writing. Cool figs.
  5. Nice story, glad to see the peace is restored
  6. Nice build and nice minifigs. Good job!
  7. A dangerous pier indeed, luckily the gun didn't discharge accidentally when it fell. Isn't he a cunning man, bringing a knife to the meeting, we Oleanders will never do that. Thank you Wolf! The pier is snot built because I ran out of brown tiles. We all love mermaids!
  8. The ship transporting the newly discovered gold arrived safe and sound to its destination. Crewmen and Marines were allowed to spend several days in the taverns of Eltina. As a family man, LaGaufre declined the invitation of his camrades and came back to home. But his holiday was interrupted by a messenger carrying a letter from Gil Gonzales, the captain of Lion of Garvey! The content of the letter, besides the usual premilinaries, was quite surprising, the captain Gonzales want to get rid of his ship, not freely of course, instead, he asked a fair amount of money. First, this matter has aroused certain suspicions among LaGaufre's entourage, but after thorough consideration, they believe the proposal of captain Gonzales was sincere, since he asked for a meeting in the territories controled by Oleander forces. So,on the agreed day, the two parties showed up at a remote, abandoned dock, somewhere in Eltina. - Captain, do you believe the damned blues will keep their word? - i have doubts too, but this is a risk to be taken. - Greetings, Captain! It's a honour to meet you! - Me too! You came alone, unarmed? - How dare you! I'm a man of my word. - So do I! Now, could we talk about our little deal? - If you like. - Wait, watch your steps! - Unarmed? Hein? - My hat! It's brand new. - Oh thank you, my dear! Let's talk our little deal now, allow me to ask you one thing first, why do you want to sell your ship to us? - It's simple, we let you pass through without firing a shot, I had to do so to save my men, but in the eyes of my superiors, that was an act of cowardice, they will hang me and emprison my men for that. What could you possibly do if you were at my place? We were outgunned and outmanned, I know, you may say that there is example of frigate beaten a twodecker, well, it was in rough sea, the twodecker was forced to keep the lower gunports closed, and the day when our two ships met, the sea was calm. - I totally agree with you. Bring the gold, mateys! - i hope you are satisfied with our offer. - Yes, yes, you are very generous, take my ship, it's yours. - It‘'s pleasure working with you. - By all means keep the secret, my good sire. A couple of days later, in the royal shipyard, LaGaufre met with the future captain of the "new" frigate. - Well, this is a fine ship, but we should redo the rigging, I've heard you were able to catch her with your much heavier ship, there is a lot of improvement to do. - You are right, and you should also know that we have our priorities, I'm concentrating all my men on a more important project, all I can promise you now is to put your ship on the head of the queue. Thank you for viewing. Vive le Roi.
  9. Hilarious! The yellow bricks work fine for reproducing the wheat field.
  10. Oh dude, these guys look serious, what are they plotting? I'm impatient to read the suit of the story. I like how you've built the beach , with plenty of bricks, instead of a simple plate. The stream beneath the tree is a nice addition. The cross and tile thingy are supposed to represent a tomb? That would explain why the house is devastated.
  11. The cargo space is huge! The figurehead is beautiful. I like how you managed to curve the hull. If I were you, I'll not worry too much about its armament, since we have quite decent escort now. If the aggressors can beat our escort, they should also be able to overwhelm feable defense of merchant vessels.
  12. Intriguing story, I'd like to learn more about his mysterious lady, and the cat. Fine build, the windows are great! Gov. Guilder in the background, seems he has already recovered from his wound.
  13. Nice build! I especially like the explosion and the turret, great choice of minifigs as well.
  14. The Eslandolans have won again, what a ba...good news! Congrats to Garm, LS and KB! I'm gonna build a bounty hunting ship to honour this 200%.
  15. That's a detailed and constructive post, Bregir. Got my dico, here we go. The sloop is the smaller one with one single one, the schooner is the slightly larger one with two masts, but yes you right, I'll be incapable to distinguish them rapidly if I wasn't the builder. For the diorama, it was done in less than 1 hour, I'm not very satisfied with the result either. The ruller curtain is a good idea, certainly better than my starry bedsheet. I've already demolished the masts, the sails and the rigging of these two ships, to prevent you to critic them further. Seriously, I'm working on to improve them. Your post is very useful to me, thanks a lot.
  16. Nice carriages! Send me this so-called musketeer to martial court, he should have protected the lady against this cunning robber!
  17. Good writing and nicely built waterfall! I should order a bunch of these transclear plates too. The scene with tent is very well built too, bondire is amazing, and I've noticed that the redcoats are wearing berets! Oleander mercenaries I guess?
  18. Nice build! I like how you built the undulation of the terrain with plates and slopes, the foliage and plants on the ground, a very inspiring work. I see that lady De Summer is wearing a new vest, robe, dress, jacket. The highwayman has arouse some concerns too, with his occasional robbery of Oleander tourists, and he is robbing a mousquetaire du Roi, that's outrageous!
  19. I agree with you about the amount of guns Maxim, 55 (is it correct?) and 60 it's almost the same. Our two ships are very similar, don't be surprised, we all use prefab hulls and we should deal with the same restraints, i.e. width/length proportion, with a minor difference I think, mine is built with 6 midsections, which is already quite difficult to handle, I had to integrate a lot of bricks and plates on the keel to reinforce the hull, to avoid the sagging effect, is it the right term? Hope you know what I mean. The smaller ship, the former garvian frigate, she has 22 guns on gundeck and 2 chasers, ofc, the Royal Shipyard will see to add some carronades or obusiers de vaisseau to complement its arsenal. With the increase in guns amount, it should arise a problem of rating, we'll deal with this issue in the ship licensing court, it's always fun to discuss these kinds of details. As you pointed out in your post, avoid hostility was a main concern when preparing our entry, I'll find a way to maintain this neutrality.
  20. Thank you Legostone! I've been told about the same for the no-faction ships, a story is indeed needed to explain how they switched side, I'll build a scene to explain this. And yes, as you stated above, license and upkeep are quite expensive, so I think I'll try to keep the former-garvian ship for myself and sell the two-decker to la Royale.
  21. Hello! I've a question, when can I license my two last ships, i.e. the two I used for the cat.E, Can I license them now or I have wait?
  22. Nice writing. The shipwreck is well built, the green bricks and algae gave it very convincing look.
  23. Glad you like it Brandon! An idea came to my mind, a kindergarten, to babysit our kids and give our older folks more time to do some serious stuff. Glad you like it BD! I agree with you that's a must in this season, so hot. Don't pay attention to that half-naked guy, just pretend you haven't seen him, he's on the loose and his captain is searching for him.
  24. Great to find this guild hall again. I think it will be a good idea to add fore and aft castles, you mentioned you plan to build a carrack, as I recall, the masts are quite close to the prow and poop on carracks.
