  1. It'sa big project, or will be, I'll take afew pics sometime today probably
  2. Guess who's taken up the challenge of building a black fantasy style capitol ship?... Me. So far have engine component and bridge done. The obvious hardest part will be building the body with the most efficient amount of parts, and then, the wings, all while trying to keep it sturdy, cool looking, and infusing bionicle elements. (Something I've never seen on a huge ship) I may post a thread about it's progress if anyone cares
  3. Oh my..
  4. It's totally underrated, like many of the sets I get, I always see the good qualities You did a great mod here, makes it much more pose-able. Oh, and another good part about this set. Purple!
  5. as I already have the train tracks, the only thing I would need to get is windshields in bulk, if I had those, I could form the rest of it myself this is very cool, and I could see someone building a huge starship out of this technique
  6. I was bored.
  7. Oh wow! Does that mean other sets like the star wars lines and such may be appearing soon? I'm guessing you decided to give this set a miss? Great find!
  8. I have been following these aswell, and they never dissapoint My favorite recent part is when he announces the guy's name and says he wishes to remain anonymous.
  9. Heya, welcome to the boards! You have a truly original style in this creation, and is simply awesome. I'll be happy to see any interior it has. Will love to see future Moc's from you.
  10. Lego Joe's entry is probably my favorite, It captures the elven feeling very well, with mini figures and the open able knoll hideout. Feels like a real set.
  11. It takes you alittle bit to actually realize what you're looking at is an utter masterpiece, and just not another yellow castle set
  12. mine probably last about a week.
  13. The jungle cutter set is the best in my opinion, lots of dark green, and lots of jungle peices, along with the necessities for any tank builder! *blush* This will probably be the only set I'll get from the line.
  14. Like whoah. I heard nothing of this. I wonder how sturdy he will be, and if he'll be any good for playing. The lightsabers, unless there's bars in there to support, will be very weak. I'll take a gander at the instructions. Surprised me. Edit: Bummer. He's cemented to the showcase thing. Probably skip this set then.
  15. Even with all 6 chambers loaded, and as swiftly as I could, which is pretty swift I may add, I couldn't get the thing to work :-$ Maybe the one in the Toa Terrain Crawler will have better results.
  16. The blaster thing is kindof tricky to use. You have to cover up a little hole to make the pump air tight, so that it gets a nice seal and shoots. I really only tried it afew times, but when I got it to work, It flew quite nicely. :-$
  17. I feel the whole bionicle playset line is highly underestimated. The second installment of my highly unpopular review line, the smallest of the playsets, 8925. At 15 dollars USD (half price) this was a steal. I'm doing these reviews to see if some may be interested in getting these very cheaply, while you can! Heres the whole pack. No numbered bags this time. Here are the figs (4) and some potentially rare or useful parts. The trans blue dome bubble is very cool, especially with two of em. The long tentacle is rubber aswell. Though small, these are probably the favourite parts of the set. A very cool transportation trans blue bubble, and a very nice jellyfish. Coolsauce. Next you build a squid launcher turret. Very floppy, but adds playability, and it works. Next we build the main attraction; or at this point atleast, the base of it. Cockpit taking shape. Note some nice slopes on the back. Cockpits now on. The front is large enough for 2 barraki. The form is very sleek. Oh. And a random 1x4 dark bley brick I couldn't find where to put! Heres the whole thing together. Really nice playability and overall set I think here. Surprisingly in the back of the instructions, there are inspiration models! I think the windows should've been trans red. Looks much cooler ;-) Overall? 8/10. Great parts, great playability, great price. Some rare elements and a cool build makes it worth while. The only real drawback is the use of bionicle peices. It really doesn't bother me, however, I know it does bother some hugely. However, I feel the ones used in this set, are highly useful. Not to mention you get more weapons then there are arms to equip them to. No lack of accessories, along with the squids, jellyfish, weapons, spheres.. Hope my review was of some use, so that my time was not wasted! :-D
  18. Well, I have found these bionicle playsets to be a very underrated theme. With them being on sale, I decided to pick some up. All of them. Half price. I started off with this one as it seemed kinda interesting, as I've already built the Toa Terrain Cralwer, and the other set seems simple. With this being said, still expect reviews of these sometime in the future >:-) I just got the shipment today after school. I got one box semi crushed. Here are all baggies and whatnot. Bag 1 gives you a plethora of minifigs - nice selection. And alittle scooter made out of a foot. Kinda nifty. Bag 2 builds the beasties. I like this guy, he had a nice building technique under that black shell. Heres a (dark) picture of the other guy. He has alot of moving parts, and his belly holds those weird ball things. His head is quite a cool peice. Now we get to the interesting stuff. The submarine thing. Here is the back base of it. You then proceed to cover it in technic and bionicle pieces. Now the front cockpit parts. After the base, you then again, cover it in technic and bionicle parts. You also build some lame arm things on each side, consisting of a blaster I got to work once, and a clumbsy arm. The red windscreen is so cool. I love trans red :-$ This thing is actually built like a ROCK. I accidently dropped the thing and nothing happened. It is increadibly sturdy, being built of strongly connected beams and blocks, then coated in a nice bio armor. It's a shame most of the form is from bio parts. But dang. I gotta admit, it looks nice. Here's the whole bamboozle. Tons of playability here. 6 figs, a scooter, 2 fierce beasties to ride, and a large sturdy submarine (which also has a back compartment). Not to mention more weapons than there are arms to equip them to. All in all, it gets an 8/10 from me. Right now, it's half price for 25 USD, and for 400 peices, and some rare elements (especially that nice trans red windscreen..) it's a great deal to me! Not to mention if the mini bio figs don't fit your fancy, there's still hope! You can modify their heads to fit a normal minifigure. Check the customization workshop for my thread for more info on that if interested ;-) Thanks for looking at my review. I know I love seeing during-build review pictures, so I tried to provide them again here *sweet*
  19. Uploaded myself. Im in Kohler, Wisconsin ;-)
  20. "Well, they always said it's not the size that matters. Perhaps the same applies when dealing with new 'quests' to be conquered...?"
  21. This thing deserves more attention than it's getting. It's packed with nice techniques and details. Splendid job.
  22. Maybe she's a teen troll? Responding to you mean :-$ But then again, it is a troll I suppose. I'm no expert at troll cleavage :-P But I guess trolls are thought to be somewhat larger creatures, which 'suffer from gravity' :-$ Great job on the decals. I like the clear decal set better. *y*
  23. Minus The Bear - The Game Needed Me
  24. One set is ment to be eyelashes, the other eyebrows, not 2 sets of eyebrows ;-) And I like the new hair better, simply because it's new, I don't really care about accuracy. The blue eyes look nice :-P
  25. Saw The Chronicles of Riddic yesterday. It was entertaining.
