  1. That's a tough one. I really like Luke with the new face, but prefer the old torso with the straight belt. Maz I don't like, looks like a disneyfied Yoda or that little guy from Titan A.E.. Kylo is the wrong version, the one with printed mask and helmet is better. So I'll go with K-3PO.
  2. I didn't even know he had a name, but Corporal Eskro Casrich gets my voice for the very nice helmet.
  3. Quinlan and Luminara really look nice, and U-3PO even better, but my vote goes to the much needed Imperial Navy Officer, because voting for him surely makes him appear in a cheaper set sometime .
  4. It's Pao for me. Cute face, nice armor print and neat unusual headgear.
  5. I actually try to make some builds smaller, but try to cram in as much detail as possible at the same time. I very much like the Tie Advanced from the Rebels Set for example, because it looks more compact and yet accurate for the LEGO style.
  6. Although I love me some deliciously evil every now and then - and Papa Palpatine hits the sweet spot in that regard - I vote for the Hovertank Trooper. It is my favourite minifig from the whole Rouge One line.
  7. Yes the third is supposed to be a generic MonCalamari from RotJ. - I really wish TLG had made an armor piece with neck ring for the MonCals, I always thought they are wearing some sort of life support system under their bulky vests. There are quite a few renditions that went with black instead of gray for the shoulders of the tank trooper commanders. I my case, they are just all commanders :-).No DBG dual mold available yet, let's hope future Collectible MInifigs will remedy that. Beating a dead horse: many many Star Wars Minifigs would profit highly from dual molds for arms and/or legs. Admiral Ackbar, for example, would look perfect with white/dark orange arms. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gial_Ackbar/Legends?file=Ackbar.jpg
  8. Yes very nice, it all goes together so well, the clock looks really like it belongs. Besides Prince of Persia it vaguely reminds me of an old SNES game I liked. (Illusion of Time? Chrono Trigger? - something along the line) Well done!
  9. Yes, although I am not a big fan of the Death Trooper, in this batch he is the best minifig.
  10. The arms are from the Disney collectible minifig Syndrome (it looks to me as if you used his legs for your troopers?) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=dis014#T=S&O={} Love your rebel troops, they look diverse yet still coherent. How did you get Moroff taller? oops, didn't see the plates :-)
  11. another small update: Finally I got dark orange hands for Admiral Ackbar. For Admiral Raddus I found a pair of old dark gray hand, which are closer to his head color: I really love those tank troopers. Naturally i had to give them arm printing (Syndrome CMF). I also do NOT like it, when the flesh color of the head shows under closed helmets. Most of my imperial troops have the black balaclava head, but here I went with white ones with mask (from Batman I believe): cheers!
  12. Han Solos new hair beats them all, I wonder which conditioner he uses.
  13. I would actually go with the Death Star Trooper IF he had leg printing (which could have easily been an existing pair of legs, no need for new prints) - the torso is far more accurate than the last one. Boba is pretty sweet, of course, but i prefer the gray one from the last desert skiff. So I will vote for the other guy in black: Vader - primarily because of the new ANH torso.
  14. I was thinking the same, but they look really seamless, and if you look at the old 1-piece mold, after cutting there would be quite a bit of re-modelling involved. Please @marathon_productions enlighten me. How DID you do that? :-)
  15. I do not think TLG would go that way and diminish the "playability" of the standard minifig style just for accuracy - and I wonder if it would even look like LEGO anymore or more like one of the countless mini/micro figures of other companies - AND they would then have to go the whole way and make Jawas, Ewoks and such in the same style. Regarding Jawas I was really hyped when the Simpsons theme came out and I saw that Maggie torso - I was totally sure the next Jawas (Sandcrawler) would use the same mold in brown with printing - no such luck of course...
  16. Where did you get those nice separate Snowtrooper backpacks? Or did you make them yourself? If so ...how?
  17. They are from the Deadshot Minifig, which goes rather cheap on Bricklink: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=sh259#T=S&O={}
  18. I love printed parts, and I love color coordination. Here is an example:
  19. Sweet!! I love those Kenner Mini-Rigs, and attempted quite a few myself in the past. This is definitely the best LEGO rendition I have seen! I need to built one!
  20. That's what I've been waiting for, thank you. For a mere Battle Pack it is what I more ore less expected. The dual mold rant notwithstanding, Bossk looks nice, 4-LOM looks perfect, Dengar - who would profit immensely from some leg printing - is the same as the last one ...and IG-88 still looks like a battle droid with a flower vase up his neck - but at least he got printing.
  21. No need to apologize @That Orange Thing, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but thank you anyway ! Sometimes I spend hours just browsing Bricklink on the lookout for the most fitting (imo) pieces for my precious minifigs.
  22. Thank you That Orange Thing. The Sandpeople deserve a bit variety. I already use the AT-DP legs for some of my Hoth Rebels. Also i wanted something that looks a bit more like boots. And the gray on the knees goes well with the gray on the torso, since i changed everything else to white (which I like better).
  23. I used these: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=970c00pb140#T=C&C=11 but the Han Siolo ones seem pretty perfect, if you can get them.
  24. Ok, time to show pictures of some of my updated minifigs. There are mostly small changes. 1 - swapped the hands of the Ewoks to the same color as their "pelt" I think it looks more realistic: 2 - handmade (not yet perfect) kamas for the Snowtroopers and finally printed legs (from the Jek-14 minifig): 3 - Tusken cheiftain (Teebo torso and legs are perfect) and ...scout? medicine-man? (old Tusken torso and Rey's wrapper): 4 - Max Reebo with organ - and Max Reebo with Aladdin body, Stitch legs and custom loincloth - the color match with the head is not ideal, but the original azure body is also slightly off: 5 - Cantina band (well, part of it) with lego built instruments (and different hips): more will follow soon cheers
  25. Aaahhh, perfect, that's it!! Thank you very much, and for the Wookiepedia tip as well, I was so happy to find the picture I did not pay attention to the meta links.
