  1. Very interesting. Osprey's batterybox has 2 switch but normally, non RC model need and use only 1. If I remember right, only 8480 space shuttle is use 2 motor and non-RC set. 8082 is also use 2 motor and non-RC but it is wired remote control so technically it is RC model. So officially remake 8480 using small angular motor, L C+ motor, dumb batterybox will possible.
  2. I think R8 because of this article. It's not to old. This green hell edition is perfectly fit with dark turquoise color which TLG suddenly started making a lot of piece. And also in the past, a lot of piece in dark turquoise came out.
  3. Like other motorcycle wheel, this wheel's weight lean to outside. Can we use it as gyroscope to build 2 wheel balanced vehicle?
  4. Considering electric car don't have transmission or engine I think Audi R8 will be more. Of course TLG can use C+ in set but it will terribly slow.
  5. Max 3 motor is not so obstacle to me. Insted, I can't think what kind of vehicle will good for contest. In google search for 'transformation rc', all of result is some kind of chinese RC which transform using simple 4-bar linkage. But I want something more difficult model than that. At this time, someone in my local community give me some link. And I think it will good for this contest. LEGO IDEAS - Mach Patrol This is original model. It is system build but looks good and I think folding front wheel is good idea. But wing extend from front wheel assembly is to complicated, so I remove it and put another function insted. I haven't decided the name yet and If I get another idea I will smash this and rebuilt. If I can;t get other idea, this is my entry. Anyway, I want use C+ insted PF in this time. Because spike's medium angular motor looks good for make some hinge point. So I use 2 of it for drive rear wheel and 1 C+ L for transformation. Basic concept is car transform to plane like original idea. Even it is still not finished(need to make rear and front light) I build this in 1 day so don't have WIP picture. I use 3 mini linear actuator for folding front little caster and rear drive motor and 2 worm gear for folding front wheel section. Of course gear ratio in both actuator and worm gear is different so I use simple linear clutch in worm drive module which looks like side mirror. Front wheel use new 5L wheel-kind part introduced in minions set. Rear wheel work as both driving and steering so front wheel need to minimize to friction for work smoothly. My most problem is C+ hub's height is to high but can't use other thing.
  6. I bring out linear actuator. It is absolutely different with real heavy machinery more than pneumatic. About blue shock - it looks very good for some kind of buggy car. Maybe TLG will make giant C+ buggy with that shock?
  7. 1:8 C+ car is good idea and I want see one but it will be terribly slow. And outside volkswagen, I want see benz SLS AMG in 1:8 supercar set.
  8. I don't think so. Supercar sets tend to use colors that are rarely used, so it can be estimated that they make small sets to supply those colors. For similar reasons, 1~2 year before launch supercar set, set's color used a lot in some model. Like porsche(orange)'s 42038, bugatti(azure)'s 42070 and 42077. Only Sian(lime) is exception but unlike orange and azure lime used consistently.

  13. In my opinion, porsche E is ok to come to pullback model. Because original model is electronic car. It don't have any engine or transmission. But mustang is tortally missed selection. At least TLG should have chosen other electric vehicles such as the Jaguar Formula E vehicle(like they did in speed champions) or Tesla Roadster.

  17. Wow I didn't expect see you in here! But how to work steering with 3 motor? 2 for drive/walking, 1 for transforming, steering???
  18. Sorry I can't understand well. 42131 CAT use 4 motor. 2 for drive and 2 for all other function. And 42114 hauler use 3 motor. but only one motor is for only steering and other 2 change function between driving and dumping. Are you mean 42131 style(function motor is only work for function and driving motor is only for driving) or 42114 style(Max 3 motor. No matter whatever you doing at least vehicle can transform using motor) or just can't use transmission trick for multiplying motor output?
  19. Is this means only hard coupled motor? Can I use transmission with rotary catch like 42114 hauler or 42131?
  20. If we have it and also straight version, it will be great monorail rail! And I want teeth both inside and outside. This version can make super turntable which through many of axle and still turning. Like old tomi's robotic arm toy.

  22. I already said C+/PU contest many time. And answer is always same. "No because that will be mindstorm contest" Why not mindstorm contest in the first place? Even that is separated to different forums it is still sub-theme of technic.
  23. I finially got one of essential's small angular motor so I tried disassemble it. Before read WARING I 'm VERY not recommanded dissassemble this. Because magnet for angle sensor is not fixed to shaft. I assemble it after take photo but I don't know this magnet poistion is right. All part for motor. I can remove white gear from external shaft but didn't. And those shaft looks like impossable to disassemble. Part number Upper part(shaft assembled part) 63565 (you can find number through main 3x3 disc shaft's hole) Under part 65028 Cable connected part 65029 Top pic of board Bottom pic of board. Rightmost chip is magnet sensor for encoder. Gearbox assemble. This contain 4 gear. Enclose gearbox. I haven't fastened the screw yet. Top side of gearbox. That small exposed part of last gear is connect with external shaft(medium azure) Fastened screw and put to upper part of motor. Place magnet. Like I said before, I don't know this is right angle. And that is why this motor has only one side of output unlike medium and large angular motor. Place circuit board. But before put board, you need to put cable connect part(medium azure) to gearbox first. And if you not care for motor wire, it will pinch to between upper part and cable part. After that, now you can put under part.
