LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Ki-Adi-Mundi replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, the ISD is beautiful! Hope to see more of it soon! My eyes may betray me - but aren't there a bunch of TIE Interceptors above Anakin's head? If so, this would be very good news, indeed! BTW, i am wondering, that we don't get imagse of the Droid Tri Fighter and the Coruscant Police Gunship on the first page of this thread. Acoording to all pics around the web and even TLG's SW product page, we can see that at least the first mentioned set is to be released for sure... -
LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Ki-Adi-Mundi replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Actually i would love to see the SWTOR line being continued. I don't play the online game but have found appreciation for TLG's incarnations of ships and people. Thus the Phantom as a representation of the ancient ingame ship with some unnamed characters would be very nice. While i don't need any more (different) snowspeeder, i believe it to be reasonable on the part of TLG to release another one with a ground gun and a few minis. Releasing the speeder and an AT-AT at the same time absolutely makes sense to me. Not every one (kid) is willing to wait for a year or even more until they get a 'complete' battle scene. For playing and starting to collect purposes, such climatic sets are supposed to get released simultaneously. This being said, i can only repeat how happy i am with the prospect to finally see a new ISD and Mos Eisley Cantina! Thank you TLG! Please keep the pricing in the range of the reasonable... -

Well, that's good news! As my signature indicates, it's even great news, actually! Time was highly overdue to release a new cantina and the ISD! I am pretty happy with this upcoming wave and look forward to get everything OT of it. We have to wait for official confirmation of the final sets (composition and appearance) but it all looks very promising! I also hope that Cloud City will find it's way into the making, being one of the yet unnamed (exclusive) sets... -
Added 75025 Republic Jedi Class Cruiser to my collection. Also hit tremendeous sales for doubles of 9497 Republic Striker class Fighter 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor 9526 Palpatine's Arrest.

Thanks for this review. This BP is the only confirmed set 2014 that i will gor after for sure (a couple of times, actually)! In terms of a BP, i would have preferred to see at least one Death Star trooper in this BP (remember the naming). I guess that they are numbering much higher than the gunners and royal guards do. Still, this is a must have for any OT fan...

Thanks for this hot info! Feeling underwhelmed by the majority of the last waves' sets, a cantina with a dewback would be great! While a bantha and some Jawas definitley would add for Tatooine local colorit, this is an improvement already! The dewback looks pretty realistic in LEGO terms so chances are high that we will see it soon! -
Recently acquired 79005 Wizard Battle 79006 Council of Elrond 79007 Battle at the Black Gate 79012 Mirkwood Elf Army (x2) 79003 An Unexpected Gathering (a second one). For the time being, i feel complete. The Umbar ship simply is too ugly for going after it. I hope for a great final of the LOTR line - with a Gondor Army (builder) set, kind of a Minas Tirith castle and the witch king on his mount!

Thank you Deathleech for this excellent review! To me, this is the only set of this winter's Hobbit wave i really desired. The set is well designed, coloured, has many nicely printed minifigs and even a warg! Owning two of them already, i really love the impression of connecting three or even four for a fortress. Thanks for showing this. I might go for another two to expand my elven holdings in middle earth!

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Ki-Adi-Mundi replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice to finally get a closer look on the upcoming sets. Being more of an OT fan, the only set that caught me instantly is the 'Death Star Troopers'. Time was due for the Imperial gunners. Considering the name of the BP, i was expecting at least one of them: http://starwars.wiki...th_Star_Trooper They are simply supposed to be aboard any Death Star you might encounter along the way. Apart from this, the new blasters might look awkward and oversized. Lego being a toy - to redesign them into having a playbility feature is a logical step, IMHO. I preferred the old ones but millions of kids will love the new ones. Thus i accept the choice. Whether i will go for other sets will strongly depend on the pricing. Seeing the tags for the upcoming Hobbit sets i am absolutely upset: Price in Germany (in USD) = (USD + 10) x 1.3465 Are we already so much wealthier? Before starting to rant, i better stop and hope for an ISD and a Cloud City to complement this wave. -

I might have missed it along the pages - has anything been leaked about the TOR subtheme? Will it be continued? -

Finally a 75025 Jedi Defender Class Cruiser is en route to a safe haven...

Yeah, i haven't seen anything about Utapau, either (missed it along the pages?!). Regarding the preliminary pics, the Death Star Trooper BP is the only set i am actually interested in. Hoping for more news. A system scale ISD would be really nice. Is there any chance that the TOR line will be continued? I recently found some taste about it. -
[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'
Ki-Adi-Mundi replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is indeed a great piece of art! Again and again i am impressed on how close the MOCs get to the 'originals' with just using LEGO pieces. But even more impressing is your skill and dedication to transfer such projects into reality! Keep it up! -
Some pretty nice ideas, legofreak. However, i don't think that TLG will release an ultimate duel of Obi and Ani anytime soon. We recently got Anakin's Jedi Interceptor. It is a great set i think and does a good job for the scene of your desire. It's also affordable so i don't believe in any similar thingy next year. I share your desire for Cloud City - after ten years the time is due! As for the special for Comic Con - how about a system Imperial Star Destroyer?! This would incite quite some 'whooaah' effect, i think!

Got another 9471 Uruk Hai Army on a sale.
-
Caught some on sale: 7961 Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator 3x 75000 BP 3x 75001 BP 2x 9500 Sith Fury Interceptor At reasonable pricing, spending money on LEGO and buying multiples really didn't hurt.
-
Caught a second 7961 Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator on a sale. Nice ship with interesting gadgets (speeder) and good minifigs. I will try to mod out the minor 'upside-down' flaw.

A big thanks for gathering the LOTR reviews which are scatterecd throughout the pages! @ Moderators: Could anyone please sticky this or add the content to the general reviews collection?
-
Umm, I'd like to pick that up again. Recently, i received the VIP catalogue for summer 2013. Usually it contains everything that is supposed to be released until the winter. But there is nothing about the castle line in it. All other major and new lines have been treated thoroughly but castle is not even mentioned. Without being advertised for, i get the feeling that the sets won't hit the shelves anytime soon (i.e. not before winter).
-
Just bit it and ordered another 9474 Battle of Helms Deep. At 32% off and thus reaching a reasonable price, i could not resist to get it a second time. In LOTR terms, the set is a must have and a pleasure to own and look at. Even from a more general perspective, this is the best castle TLG has made so far, IMHO.

The Council of Elrond (expanded set)

This is a great caption of the movie scene, well done! Apart from the minifigs, did you use any parts not included in the two sets? -

I hope we will get a battle pack with more Geonosian B1 battle droids in the next wave. I like their new color (for the command droid, too). It is yet difficult to gather an army of them with the sets available. They are supposed to be cannon fodder and should be available in abundant amounts. Some more clones with the new print wouldn't harm either.
