  1. Thanks again. That looks awesome. Are we really able to order custom made sets? Another thanks to The_Customizer on the release date.
  2. Thanks for your kind answer. I just noticed a difference on the front of the boxes in both reviews here on the boards. The version i ordered online also does not have the named line and i simply hope to not miss anything special about the set.
  3. Ah, thank you for the explanation. I'll look it up at TLC's pages.
  4. Excuse me, what does LDD stand for?
  5. Yes, agreed of course. However, we lack capital ships for the Empire yet. The ISD of 2006 is absolutely overpriced today. 300+ bucks is unacceptable to me. So my idea was just to use the Venator as kind of a replacement. The Victory-class SD is an EU starship and as such, quite a few of different visual iterations do exist. The Venator might even look better without the CW markings. Just my 2 cents.
  6. An outstanding review. Especially your shooting the decisive spots was elaborate and of great quality. Convinced me to order the set. One question, however: Is there any difference between the regular set and the "exclusive anniversary edition" one?
  7. That sounds reasonable. What are the schedules for the 3D show releases? One per year? If so - we will be happy if TLC keeps up the license long enough to make special sets for each film... Umm, since the Imperial-class SD is such overpriced by now - might a Venator do for a Victory-class SD? Leaving out the red pieces off the hull might let it appear as one. One would only have to accept the odd minifigs and replace them.
  8. Yes, i agree. The review is very detailed and offers a very good insight into the set. Regarding the ship itself , i congatulate TLC for the exterior looks - the design is as beautiful as it is depicted from the films. But there is just so little room inside. Playing children might have fun with the repulsorlift sled and the trnasport box but the ability to recreate the film scenes is missing. Vader and a Stormtrooper would have been nice but are available from other kits. In effect there is only one room inside and this is stuffed as an office/control room. Leaving out the sled and creating a small corridor instead would have been better, i think. I am not sure whether i will go for this set. Aside from it's striking looks from the outside it has little to offer at it's recent price.
  9. Another good review with excellent pics. The set itself isn't anything extraordinary. I am not into clones and cannot say much about those 'bombad' guys. Armore is well depicted and the minifigs have printed legs. The BARC-Speeder looks good but it's the only special about this set. Not enough to make it recommendable for regular SW or LEGO fans. I rate it at 2/5 for 13 EUR. Fans of the animated series or 'clone fanatics' might add a point or even two if they know what this set is up to.
  10. A good review and the pics are much better lit than the the ones in other reviews. Admittedly i am not a fan of comics and the animated series. I still got the set for 13 EUR because in my opinion it offers a lot for a mere battle pack. A small base, a vehicle and a heavy gun among four minifigs. Those are all the same - a fact that somehow is being made up for by them being Mandalorians (i like their suits and helmets). You get quite a few of armament/equipment which seems pretty typical of a Mandalorian squad. Not many parts but for an offer around 12 to 13 bucks i would recommend to get it. Rated at 4/5, IMO.
  11. A good review and excellent photos. I personally got the set for 25 EUR and wanted it because of the many minifigs. The PAC (platoon attack craft) is well captured from the film but not the most interesting vehicle at all. The battle droids did disappoint me a bit. Although being able to hold a gun properly they do not stand well and are difficult to stick into tight areas (they bend over when being pressed). At least they are numerous in this set. The pilot B-1s are a nice addition to anyone's droid army. The Gungans are nice depictions and Jar-Jar is a wonderful piece for collectors. At the price mentioned, i rate the set 4/5.
  12. Great review for a great set. It's among the the cheapest set to really have full playability value. Goes for 30 EUR atm. I would especially recommend the set for parents (as a gift to their children) as it features a small diorama (the cave), a vehicle (the T-47 airspeeder) and a monster creature (the Wampa, by non-fans often referred to as a 'Yeti'). Thus you find a huge playability potential for a fair value. While the movie scene itself is short, children's fantasy offers boundless adventure options. The wampa is beautifully designed. The only downsides are some stickers for the speeder (still looks good without them) and only few minifigs (you can use Zev Senesca as a nondescript Rebel pilot, anyway). The set is wonderful to build and very nice to look at. I rate it at 5/5, higly recommended, especially for children.
  13. Another very good review, thx for it. I got the set for 11.50 EUR and like it a lot. Three different kinds of minifigs, good equipment. The vehicle appears a little random to me but it's ok in design and function. The new Hoth Rebel design is excellent. I personally rate the set a 4.5/5.
  14. It's a great set. Three different kinds of minifigs, plenty equipment, a small base (several functions) and a vehicle, too. It's available for some 12 bucks by now. As a fan of CT I'd rate it 5/5. A more objective rating would achieve 4/5. Recommended. A very good review btw. - informative and funny. :-)
  15. Hello all, i recently got into LEGO SW and stumbled across these outstanding boards (i especially love the reviews). Considering to collect some sets on memorable scenes from the movies i wonder if there will be another Star Destroyer in say, 2012. We had one in 2006, one in 2009 (the Venator) and next year might be the right time to have another full set. Anyone got rumors or proofs on that?
