  1. I finally took and edited pictures of my 8297 Crawler mod, (EDIT) and uploaded a video! Features: 4-Link Suspension front and rear 4WD with 2 L-Motors Front wheels steered by on-axle motor 8297 bodywork with extra lights 3rd Party Axial Ripsaw tires More pictures and WIP here. EDIT!
  2. Wouldn't be possible without third party tires ;) Mbmc great moc! Interesting use of a flexible chassis for suspension, I like it
  3. Started working on an LDD file last night.
  4. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but that setup would interfere with the wheels at maximum steering lock.
  5. An HRX Ford is also on my to-build list:
  6. Haven't mounted it yet Yes, I do have portal axles, and the worm gear box is in it's final position (unless something prompts me to change it).
  7. Once I figure out how to take a picture from a nice angle, I will. -----------UPDATE---------- Swapped the front axle last night and stabilied the rear half of the bodywork. Also got new (old) seats Next step is the winch...
  8. Was away for a while, but I'm back. So, I've transferred most of the bodywork. However, there isn't enough space for my desired steering setup (shown below, but with the servo/steering shaft mounted to the chassis), so I'll be redesigning the front axle within the next few days.
  9. Building something special for Janu/Febru-AIRy, then hopefully a supercar (not satisfied with my GT-R), and an APC. Aside from that, more crawlers!
  10. Progress...It's there, but it's slow. Still have 2 motors to mount: Winch and steering. After that, it's all bodywork.
  11. If I did that, it would interfere with the travel of the 9L links.
  12. Finally put together a chassis using Unimog wheels (to keep the dimensions accurate). Also, the chassis is currently on a stand, which will be removed once I get the shocks mounted.
  13. I made this one a while ago: Only the tracks were powered, but if you wanted to sync the rotation of tracks and tires, you'd want to use a differential.
  14. It has 2 thin front wheels, and it steers really well apparently. I also heard at some point that a Lego model was in progress, but that was a while ago.
  15. Nope, tires are the only thing changed. But, as I said in the original post, there are a lot of changes coming to this offroader.
  16. MOC? This is just 8297 with new tires (at least for now).
  17. They're about 1.5cm bigger in diameter.
  18. For my next project, I'm revamping the 8297. My plans are to give it 4-link suspension, add 4WD with remote control, and "adjust" the bodywork. Oh, and I'm adding these tires to it: First step is new axles, so stay tuned for that.
  19. I've always wanted to build a hexapod with a separate NXT motor for each joint, maybe 3 joints in each leg and then 2 to rotate the different sections of the body (each body section would have 2 legs), but I don't have the money for 20 motors, nor do I have the time to code that monster.
  20. To be completely honest, I wasn't all that happy with the lime myself, but it was the only color that I had enough flex axles to make the wheel arches, and I think it turned out decent, but not perfect.
  21. I'd like to make instructions, but school's keeping me busy. Feel free to reverse engineer thought, I don't mind at all.
