  1. Don't have any more PF lights left, used all of them on my Land Cruiser 80 project
  2. Definitely on my to-do list
  3. Progress! Solved the gearing issues, widened the rear axle, and getting some solid work on the body. With only 3 days left, I think I should be able to finish this.
  4. The suspension doesn't move far at all, and the CV joint accounts for any axle pulling.
  5. Thanks for the motivation guys, I'm gonna try and get a lot of work done on the Mono today. Not giving up yet!
  6. Calling it quits...Front axle is too wide (don't know how I miscalculated that) and there are some gearing issues. With four more building days until BrickCon, I'm hoping to build a walker and some sort of medium-sized fast car.
  7. To all the comments on flex axles: I have 0 flex axles in yellow, also very few in black. So flex axles aren't going to be used. I'll post one later today, after I finish with my goals for today.
  8. For my second BrickCon project, I'm building a BAC Mono: With about a week to go this is my current state: And here's an earlier WIP: The model is driven by 2 M-Motors and steered with return-to-center steering with another M-Motor. Will be powered by a rechargeable battery. As always, any and all feedback is appreciated.
  9. I need to put something on the outside of the wheels though to hold them on the axle better...the wheels tend to slide off while crawling with nothing on the other side of the rims.
  10. Have any suggestions on what to change it to?
  11. I added a second L-motor recently. Works great :)
  12. Very sweet mod! As a lot of people have already said, the back could use some more work. But what you've done to the front...oh my that's hot.
  13. Update! Brush guard adjusted, looks much better now. Also started on mudguards, B&C pillars, and other such details. Also have a few details not seen in this picture, which will come later. As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!
  14. What would you like to see done to the wheel hubs? Honestly I'm not too happy about the three spoke design either, so I'm all ears to any suggestions.
  15. More progress! Getting close to the final product! All that's left are wheel wells, finishing up the rear, and maybe even some door trims. Also possibly some detail work (snorkel, winch, etc.). What do you guys think about the brush guard? Should it stay or is there a better way to build a similar one? Should I completely redesign it? As always, any comments, questions, and/or concerns are welcome.
  16. $43.98. Thankfully didn't have to pay shipping or anything because I bought them from a local hobby shop.
  17. Here are the Axial 1.9" Ripsaw Tires (R35 Compound) mounted on my WIP Toyota Land Cruiser 80. Specs: Width: 1.9" (39mm) Inner Diameter: 1.9" (48mm) Outer Diameter: 4.3" (109mm)
  18. Went tire shopping yesterday, got some Axial Ripsaw tires. Here they are on the LC80: Larger picture here Also got headlights working (you can kind-of see the lights working). Next steps: Adding another L-Motor, shortening wheelbase by 2, and working on wheel wells.
  19. Thanks so much for posting these videos! I know they've helped me a lot with my building and taught me a lot, looking forward to seeing more from you!
  20. There might be some room for the top half of the seats, but not much else. U-joints are fine so far, haven't had any problems.
  21. Progress! Finally! I've gotten opening doors installed (not quite the final design) and also started on the rear. Can't finish front wheel arches until I get the third party tires (hopefully will go tire shopping tomorrow). Also headlights aren't mounted to the body yet, still working on a fixture for some LEDs. Also, brush guard is a mock-up, not sure if I like the look of it. Larger photo here. Is this what you wanted? Comments, questions, and concerns are welcome as always!
  22. Very nice car! Blue and gray maybe for color?
