  1. @SpiderJazz does the Talon set look army builder size or bigger? Thinking of potential numbers here. I mean you can’t have a Night of Owls with two Talons. OMAC sounds army builder size, but I’m not sure if I want an OMAC army. Ace, cool. Beyond suit, cool.
  2. I went with Black Canary, so many people in Tropical Joker’s corner I had to even the odds. Honestly it’s another good series and I like all of them for various reasons. The ones I’m not so hot on are the FaF ones, as the chances of me affording Joker Manor are slim and I get annoyed with incomplete sets.
  3. Instagram page of a guy called Mario.
  4. One of the leaked catalogue/other descriptions made mention of a ‘good guy’ vehicle for the D2C when translated. Leaves slim pickings, really.
  5. Yippee, I can’t contain my excitement. That’s what I get for seeing a blurry image on a phone screen and don’t try to translate. @Commodore Thrawn I’ve had the Scuttler since September, and it has always maintained the poses you mentioned, even with my son and his eager playing style! Not bragging my posing skills, only giving an alternative view
  6. Mario recently shared issue 3 of the TLBM magazine, which is some 12 months later. Looks like the Batmobile micro build comes with.
  7. Agreed, a nice model and a tight squeeze for the Bat. Impressed as always
  8. The theme is getting its own D2V movie as well, the release date may coincide with that. As for the popularity, I can only speak for myself and say that I’m glad that DC and Lego have another theme, even though I don’t like the minidolls, and I know that Friends and Elves are reasonably popular. SHG seems to be a hit, so theoretically there is no reason why it should be unpopular.
  9. And they’re gone
  10. Not typically a Marvel fan but these look good. It shows that Lego trust MCU more than DCEU.
  11. TTG is pretty divisive, to be honest. I really didn’t like it when I first saw it but my son watched it enough and I gradually got the joke. I would also say that like the Powerpuff Girls, Lego would want to make the most of the franchise (I know its DC, but they will have invested in the show as well), having made a new head for Beast Boy, and given the game, probably conceived a few other parts. Don’t be surprised if they make something based off of the movie, even if the spoiler trailer looks pants.
  12. No problem. The whole set isn’t that strong, tbh, as much as I like it and the minifigs/big fig. Good to get Grodd, even if he only has Brainiac-like nodes on his head instead of a helmet. A brick built Giganta is a popular wish for, I’ve noticed. It might calm Grodd down, too! There are dozens of heroes and villains waiting in the wings for the day that Batman and Joker get benched. I would be happy with any of them, be honest, as long as Lego finishes a team once they have started *cough* LoS, LoD, Titans, Lanterns, Rogues *cough*
  13. I would say that it’s a possibility it may come back. The surge in her popularity could certainly make Lego reconsider another Superheroes line set. It’s really the only constant vehicle build that you will get for her. To be honest the jet in Grodd goes Bananas isn’t that great, its more of a novelty to finally get it. The alluded to summer Batman sets aside, the designers finally got out their coloured pencils other than black and yellow again, which is a good sign. Hopefully they don’t get into a cycle of single season JL runs every couple of years to break up the Bat onslaught. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big Batfan, but there are other characters, you know.
  14. Dang, if it wasn’t for the figs, those sets look like they fell asleep in the 80’s and were recently woken up. Incidentally the source for those on IG has been pulled.
  15. One of the first, definitely. There are a good number of them with cool designs. I still can’t get my head around the idea that Lego has taken the creative leap of producing Talons. I’m going to have to sell body parts if they keep this up!
  16. Ditto. The rest of the Gotham Knights would be peachy, but I would consider Signal a good start.
  17. When Bruce took down Azrael Batman at the end of Knightfall. Granted only for a short spell. When Bruce got a dose of Omega Beam there was Battle for the Cowl with Dick, Jason and Tim arguing over who should be the next Dark Knight, and as @PepperoniBricks said, Batman Inc. had Bruce in overall command while Dick was Batman of Gotham. There may have been others but my books are up a whole flight of stairs. I’ve been Citizened!
  18. Three Jaynas would be more useful than any number of Zans... Teen Titans Go got it right, they made him their secretary. Still, they aren’t the Wonder Twins without him. That’s just unlucky with five of Moth, though.
  19. Not all, he features in Apache Chief’s accessory, a strip of photos from a booth. The piece is a 1x3 tile with three weeny little black and white photos, two with an even weenier little Gleek cheekily photo bombing AC. Lego’s idea of a mean joke.
  20. Got my first five CMF today, blimey Gleek is a tough spot, he’s tiny! Black Vulcan has a head suitable for a Duke Thomas Robin or a Black Bat. Liking them so far.
  21. Going by the set numbers around it and the number itself, I would guess at it being a poly bag or other promotional item. As for what it is exactly, not a Scooby.
  22. The opening scene is the most obvious for maximum character capacity, plus a costume change for Jack. Things like the Mayor’s hearse, kidnapping Sandy Claws, arriving in Christmas Town, Oogie Boogie’s lair, the trees, Jack as Sandy Claws with the sleigh. The curling cliff that becomes a slope is the most iconic thing, but translating that would be costly. Sorry, my son loves this film for combining his two favourite times of year and the songs.
  23. It’s also unlike Lego to release a licensed D2C that shares no common ground with any existing themes or isn’t hot property right now. They snuck under the radar with the Mighty Micros set, and it’s been years since the last X-Men sets.
  24. Fair enough, I can’t really remember. The jet ski was the first Batman set I got after my dark age. Having only bought some of the earlier sets retroactively, my chronology is off. I will have to go and look at them now.
  25. Right now it’s a bit of a bind because we’ve recently moved and most of them are in store. It’s on the to-do list, along with the villains and other Leaguers. I thought that the type 2 cowl came in the Batman II line, and that was the one that carried over into the Superheroes line. I am so prepared to be wrong.
