  1. Metalbeard now has a crows nest, Batman’s shoulder pads do indeed look like tyres in a Mad Max kind of way. Unikitty seems to have digivolved like a Digimon. Wyldestyles scarf piece could be useful. Benny and Emmett rightfully have no changes. I like the nod to Planet of the Apes as well. I’m getting an apocalyptic vibe. Looking good.
  2. That’s what I meant. I’m well aware that it won’t appear in the Superheroes line, it’s a TLM2 image and their version of Batman is deliberately over the top. But if it isn’t ridiculously over the top then it can be incorporated into regular Batman MOCs, which I can dig.
  3. So theme-wise I’m in the wrong place but the new TLM2 poster is out and shows Batman with some brutal looking armour and a new print. Fingers crossed it becomes a reality.
  4. The Batwing is only available in store and there were about a dozen left in two stores. Dang it.
  5. What, like damaging Ryan Reynolds’ career, getting mocked in two infinitely more successful movies, and even mocked more than once by the same company that made it? The GLC movie is in a state of production limbo. I’m not saying it won’t happen, I’m saying that once bitten twice shy applies here. The damage has been done, it’s how long lasting it is that matters. They still release prequel sets because the theme is evergreen. They released Solo sets before the film came out and the collective cry of meh was made.
  6. It would appear that much like the show it got quietly shelved.
  7. That movie did a lot of damage. There was a tie-in animated movie that was ok and a series that was original and brilliant, but the network cancelled it for reasons. There was even subliminal nods from WB with the Green Loontern appearing on Duck Dodgers. The comics trilogy that ended with Blackest Night was really well received, and spawned some good stories and excellent characters. The LB3 game played on that, eventually giving us a small set. Later we got John Stewart in a book, and Jessica Cruz is coming with a DVD. If Lego still haven’t used the GLC/Lanterns, you can still trace it back to a failed movie. It’s sad, but I think it would take more than a DTV to fix.
  8. @Numbuh1Nerd I would be happy to see a villain centric wave. I know that my bad guy display is well attended but there is always room for more. A Forever Evil based line would give better odds of seeing Black Adam and Bizarro, and indirectly the Grundy and Copperhead figs currently in limbo.
  9. It’s that time again when I covet figured we are unlikely to get. First off the bat, the Crime Syndicate. I agree with @Duncan Young, though, Riddler and Ivy can wait their turn. Joker torso is nice, Grodd is a great look. SuperLex means that there is another (currently unknown) figure to come with the book, though.
  10. Fingers crossed, it would be a shame to see them discarded entirely. I’m going to throw my wild card in the ring and go with the Joker Batman that’s been seen in various forms of merchandise like Imaginext, Ooshies, and the like. I hope I’m wrong.
  11. The cover has a space for a figure, but the identity is still under wraps.
  12. There is a likelihood that a set not involving the trinity or Flash, in time. I don’t know how good those odds are but it’s still possible. Repeating your desired set over and over to other AFOLs is not going to change the odds. So, as J4ck said, patience. We all want different sets, and dreaming them up is part of the fun. It stops being fun when you have voiced the same idea enough times for others to notice. The DCU is vast, and there are myriad characters who aren’t Lanterns of any colour, but are just as deserving of a set as them. As for the flagship names, they sell, and TLG aren’t going to give that up.
  13. Clearly not read many pages or comments in this thread. Anyhoo...
  14. I’ll throw in an obvious one and go with the Batcowls, kiss-curl and tiara’d hair of the Trinity.
  15. I’m inclined to go down the one set route; Shazam and Sivana - who is going to look like Hugo Strange without the beard anyway - with a mad contraption. A second set guess to me would be Shazam, Billy and the wizard in some sort of origin story type thing.
  16. I get that, sorry, I meant direct tie-ins. I always worked on the basis that the game/movie characters get filed away for future reference, and anything released is gravy. If we get any sets GLC based, other than as a media freebie, my guess would be a wait until the movie drops. Don’t get me wrong, like yourself and many of us here, I too would welcome a set/sets with open arms. But like Duncan said, if they can produce LB3 and only two Lanterns come out of it, don’t set your heart on them cropping up because of an all-encompassing villains game. There are so many others that have been teased along the way.
  17. I don’t know about other themes, but TLG has yet to link anything other than a minifigure to a DC game/movie, Luthor’s black brick ray gun and accompanying bricks excepted. The in-game builds often include implausible techniques or unavailable colours, as well. There is a 50/50 chance that SuperLex will come with the game; that would be the limit of any tie-in. Bouncer and MoM are villains with just as much of a chance of appearing as Larfleeze or Atrocitus. My guess would be slim to 0.
  18. I am now officially rooting for Shazam!
  19. Looks like he’s sporting a bit of Batstubble, too. Another great figure. Batwoman’s face also works really well. A really good line up coming our way.
  20. @Johnny1360 going by the video it certainly looks that way.
  21. That’s a relief. The other price was way too much.
  22. Gah, £120 is a stretch if it’s light on villains. Nice build, and further use of the Batcessories as well as an Arkham Batsuit. Lego can be a cruel mistress!
  23. OMAC looks suitably menacing. Noice!
  24. I have the fig, video game and the movie, but what I’m saying is that TLG are not going to release a set with that name on or any scene from it. The play features would be a little disturbing, to say the least. Surprise Barbara by shooting her in the spine! Humiliate exclusive Nude Commissioner Gordon to near breaking point with printed tiles depicting a crippled Barbara. I know they will have a Joker set before too long, but right now we are looking at Talons, OMAC, allegedly a couple of others, a Black Manta do-over and possibly Orm. We have already had Killer Frost, Reverse Flash, Lobo, Cheetah, Gentleman Ghost, Crazy Quilt, Captain Boomerang, Egg Head, and the Condiment King (sorry, had to put him last). My point is that despite all of those, he is wishing for another version of a figure that we already have at least ten of. I just think that after a whole movie based on their relationship, I have seen enough Joker for a while.
  25. All the time Batman sets are being made there is the possibility that Joker will turn up again. However he has so many villains that fans are clamouring for that Lego are starting to use again. Joker was the antagonist of the TLBM and got the biggest Batman set. He also got Jokerland, which is the only large “building” for a villain. Killing Joke they would never use by name and nature - it’s R-Rated as a story. The all but visually confirmed RC Batmobile has the Arkham tag, but there is no word of Joker being in it. In my opinion there are more characters to embrace before we go revisiting the Joker again.
