  1. Those mechs are way too small to use the cape from either Vader constraction figure, so no. If it does have a cape it'll be much smaller.
  2. Lego sure likes Venom, don't they... Honestly I'm not usually one to criticize repeated minifigs or builds since in my mind, there's always someone who just started collecting and missed out on the previous version, but I think Lego can cool it with the overly repeated Spider-villains. Do we really need 5 sets involving Venom in 3 years? Even Mysterio is starting to get old at this point and they just introduced him last year. It's not like you have to dig deep into obscure characters to find ones we're missing either. We still don't have iconic characters like Lizard and Black Cat, and even going into other repeats they could do we haven't seen Electro in 6 years and still no traditional version of Rhino, for example. That being said anyway, I'm still excited to see the Spidey-Hidey Hole, and the monster truck has also piqued my interest, I might get it depending on how Doc Ock's arms turn out since I still don't have Spider-Gwen either.
  3. The creator stated that it's a LDD recreation of the actual set to give a better idea of the design. I guess they've seen a higher quality image of it?
  4. Technically 12 minifigs is only confirmed for Looney Tunes and S21 right now, we don't know if the September CMF will have only 12 or if it's even permanent. I would think for something like Marvel where there's so many different characters to potentially include they would increase the amount of minifigs again.
  5. According to Childish Landino(?) the TIE is real, the Shuttle is fake.
  6. As I said in the Marvel thread, Universal Monsters is missing from this list which could be a good fit for a September CMF.
  7. I'm pretty sure both Marvel and Star Wars fall under the same agreements, so if Marvel is possible then Star Wars is also possible and vice-versa. Also, you can probably eliminate Toy Story right away since there were Toy Story characters included in the first Disney CMF. Another possible license is Universal Monsters, which they recently acquired based on the Brickheadz Frankenstein. September would be a good time to release a CMF based on that for obvious reasons.
  8. Throw in the Square Enix Iron Man, last year's Spider-Man (no dual molded legs of course), and then Venomize something and you've got Lego's best-selling set of all time!
  9. Hm... Could be interesting if the Spidey-Hidey Hole turns out to be a Green Goblin hideout, though I don't know if pieces in new colors are usually indicative of new minifigs.
  10. We're not sure how many figures come with the TIE yet, the 3 figures rumor came from a preliminary image that we later realized was just the figures from Luke's Landspeeder.
  11. Well this year we had both Duel on Mustafar and Anakin's Jedi Starfighter with no clones, and the AAT and Soulless One with only one clone, making the 501st battle pack the only one to have a clone majority. In 2019, besides the TPM sets, the Droid Gunship had no clones and the AT-AP only had 2 clones, again not half or a majority. Either way, I think it's unreasonable to expect minimal or no clones when they're so integral to that entire era, there's a reason it's called the Clone Wars. Not to mention with how little PT content we've been getting the past few years, I welcome the chance for more clones.
  12. I don't care what they call it, it's the Spidey-Hidey Hole to me now.
  13. The discussion threads for most themes are named for the current year, so all discussion taking place in 2020 for Marvel sets belongs in this thread regardless of what year the sets are released in. Star Wars is one of the few exceptions to this rule so that may be where you're getting confused.
  14. Clarifying my comment, there's a big difference between a character being a different race in a brand new adaptation (i.e. comics to MCU) and a character suddenly switching races within the same continuity, which is much more jarring. I have to agree though, I never saw Sabine or any of the Ghost crew for that matter as having a specific race. Lucasfilm could probably get away with whatever they wanted for live action versions as long as the actor's skin tone is fairly close to how they look in the show.
  15. I think it's a bit early to be throwing in the towel on this whole wave, we don't even know what the sets are going to look like or what minifigs they'll include. I think the Spider-Man Hideout has potential to be interesting whatever that is, (at least it's not yet another Spider-Vehicle) and nothing's been said that would indicate Iron Man vs. Thanos would be a mech set.
  16. Though there's a difference between changing a character's race in the MCU which is set in a completely different universe from the comics or anything else prior and doing the same thing in Star Wars which is one cohesive universe.
  17. Can someone post the full list of sets here? The usual place isn't working for me at the moment.
  18. Probably because they were supposed to be 2020 sets, either that or Lego doesn't even know when they're going to release them at this point...
  19. In the games Luigi usually has higher jumps and poorer traction compared to Mario, though of course for Lego Super Mario that's irrelevant. Cosmetically, the power-ups we already have wouldn't match Luigi though. If he is coming and the power-ups are for him, it'll either have to be new versions of the old power-ups for him, or new power-ups that consequently won't match Mario instead. Of course, there's also the possibility that we aren't getting Luigi at all this wave, or we get him but the power-ups all match Mario anyway.
  20. Probably just going to be another mini ship build, we've been getting at least one of those every year for quite a while.
  21. I wouldn't hold your breath for anything even close to that. That's double the amount of CMFs we normally get in a year, we already know that at least two of this year's CMFs will have only 12 figs, and Looney Tunes is coming at some point. Not to mention the pandemic apparently negatively affected Series 20 sales, Lego would be crazy to release so many CMFs with how uncertain things are right now.
  22. I feel like I should mention that I don't necessarily think less detailed and cheaper ships like this are part of the dumbing down I mentioned (at least in theory, we'll see how Lego pulls them off). I'm actually excited to see the smaller TIE, and I'm in agreement that the prices have been getting way too high way too fast. I don't think the dumbing down of sets has hit Star Wars yet, but it's something I've noticed in other themes and worry that they may be sacrificing a bit too much set quality to focus on targeting adults with display pieces.
  23. Honestly I'm noticing this with other themes too and it's kind of concerning... Adults being targeted by expensive UCS sets or display pieces while the standard sets become dumbed down or less interesting. Look no further than Super Mario, which is entirely based around a gimmick for kids and in my opinion the set design suffers for it, yet Lego clearly knows there's adult interest when they release a $230 display model of an NES and TV. I have a feeling there's dark times ahead for AFOLs...
  24. Surprisingly, they've never actually done the standard Imperial TIE, so I'm betting on that.
  25. Hoth Han and TFA Han also have brown jackets, but I'm leaning towards Solo since the last Falcon microfighter from 2018 was also the ST version and Hoth Han for the microfighter seems like a bizarre choice, though it would go with the Tauntaun/AT-AT one pretty well.
