  1. It's always possible, and we have had a few X-Men sets before, but I wouldn't expect any until they make their MCU debut.
  2. Each Lego theme has its own budget, and things like dual molding and new molds and prints cost more to produce. Larger and more complex pieces also cost more than smaller and simpler ones. Because of this, while price per piece is a good starting point, it's not necessarily a perfect measure of a set's value. For example, in the Marvel set you mentioned, Hulk is a bigfig with new printing (and I believe a dual-molded piece), which is at least partially the reason for why it's so expensive - though I do agree with you that it feels overpriced anyway, comparing with other Marvel sets this year it should be around $30 by price per piece alone.
  3. You can, but then I'll have to complain about you complaining about complaining about complaining about complaining about complaining about complaining, of course. I'm fairly certain we already knew about the Child statue, but no images ever leaked of it. The image of the set in the store was the first time we saw it.
  4. Yeah well, I'm going to complain about you complaining about complaining about complaining about complaining! Take that! In an effort to stay on topic, this looks like a nice set. Is it the greatest thing ever, no, but I don't have either the Mando or the Child yet so getting both of them in a relatively cheap set is nice.
  5. So far your point started as "kids don't like or want villains"/"kids are too dumb to remember villains so they won't buy them" (this was specifically what was referred to as the "worst take"), has since shifted to "kids do like villains but the Thanoscopter is a bad business decision", and has now arrived at what seems to be "toy companies think kids are dumb but they aren't". So not only has what you've been saying changed dramatically several times but you've also contradicted yourself at least twice. What is your actual point, because I'm very confused what you're trying to say and I'm sure I'm not the only one?
  6. Yeah, no, absolutely not. Child me and my Emperor Zurg toys beg to differ. If what you were saying was true, then Lego wouldn't be producing TIE Fighters, AT-ATs, countless other villain spaceships and other vehicles every year, and battle packs consisting solely of stormtroopers and other bad guys in the Star Wars theme. Just look at the Marvel sets released this past year alone and see how many of them include a villain in their title (and how many of those don't include a hero in their title at all), including the Thanos Mech, a set whose only selling point is, hey look, a villain! Also, whether you like villains or not has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence, why do you even bring that up?
  7. I think everything's pretty much been covered at this point. The only ST set I can think of that hasn't already been done (not counting ships with minimal screentime) would be the duel on Exegol.
  8. Villains are basically the bread and butter of the superhero genre, and characters like Darth Vader are as popular as they are for a reason. I think it's way off the mark to say that kids don't like/want villains or things associated with them.
  9. Well, the Mando isn't just the main character, he's the title character. Han was available in half of the system sets released for Solo, for example, and that was only two waves. In contrast, there's only four system sets for the show, none of them have been part of the same wave so it's better to have Mando in all of them to make sure he's available, and it really doesn't make sense to skip Mando himself in any of the three sets he's been in either (and he's already getting a new variant).
  10. At this point I'm pretty sure it's impossible for Lego to make a set or minifig and not have at least one person on this forum complain about it. Somehow the release of Beskar Mando is enough for people to go from "I can't believe they made two sets with the Mando and none of them are wearing the beskar armor!" to "I can't believe Beskar Mando is the only new figure in this set, he's just a variant anyway". Sometimes the negativity on here really gets on my nerves, though I have to admit it's nowhere near as bad in the Star Wars threads as it is in the Superheroes ones. I've been waiting years for another system scale Imperial Star Destroyer, that would be fine with me... (Agreed on the diversity front though, give me more PT and Clone Wars )
  11. We're getting one $30 set in February, but it's unclear if it's based on season 1 or season 2.
  12. As if there wouldn't be just as much complaining if they recycled the old head...
  13. Yeah, Kiss Kiss Tuxedo Batman for The Lego Batman Movie back in 2017. Never released in minifig form as far as I'm aware.
  14. 501st BP is currently available on backorder from US Shop@Home.
  15. Probably not, since that would mean Lego somehow managed to produce enough of a set they were expecting to be a limited edition for a full release in a very short amount of time.
  16. At that point I would just keep it and build the set. I wouldn't expect to be able to get another one for regular price.
  17. Imagine if it's a UCS Thanoscopter
  18. Huh... So Venom and Goblin are minifigs, again. Wonder why the Spidey-Hidey Hole is so expensive then.
  19. As far as I'm aware the film novelizations aren't canon anymore either, obviously aside from what is specifically shown and said in the movies.
  20. Count me in - I wonder if CMF sales will drop because of this, or if they'll just increase from the people who still want them now buying more because they have no way to determine what they're getting.
  21. Oh boy... I had a feeling this would happen eventually. Lego has to know that most people feel the bags to try to get what they want, though they may feel that's "cheating" anyway and just not care. If they do go with this, they better either add some sort of new indicator that allows us to differentiate what's inside, or decrease the price.
  22. Here we go again... At this point I'm just ready for Lego to get through their backlog of convention-exclusive items so we can all go back to complaining about them the way we used to.
  23. In this case, MiniFigure.
  24. My situation is less "resisted" and more "nothing I want has been in stock for over a month" so hopefully this will happen in the US and the sets I'm waiting on will be back by then.
