  1. Whoops, I was looking on Brickset and saw the 2019 set with Batman and Aquaman and thought that was all we got.
  2. Batman sells and has consistently been the main focus of the theme this whole time, they even passed up sets for Shazam and Aquaman (while still including those characters in Batman-centric sets around the time they came out, of course). I imagine there will be plenty of other Batman sets in addition to ones for The Batman next year.
  3. I personally wouldn't be surprised if we eventually see a transition to standard sets with minifigs regardless of whether or not the interactive sets flop, like how Minecraft started out as just dioramas. It's too big of a gold mine for them to pass up, in my opinion.
  4. At this point I'm going to assume the supposed Ahsoka vs. Maul set isn't coming. It's been too long since the image has been posted with nothing suggesting it will actually be a set.
  5. This is really cool, I love all the details, the little backstory elements included, and the incorporation of non-SW minifigs and aliens to populate it a bit more. Nice work!
  6. Yes, there's multiple Eternals sets planned too but with the movie being pushed back who knows when we'll see them.
  7. Do we know for sure there's technology in the overalls at all? I was under the impression that all of the technology was in the main Mario body.
  8. I guess they want to promote the ST to start off, and for display pieces like this masked characters and droids probably sell better. It's more interesting than murals of Rey, Finn, and Poe in my opinion. I suppose they could've swapped out the stormtrooper for Kylo though.
  9. Throwing the Thanoscopter into any set would make it an instant buy for me, make it happen Lego!
  10. Eh, as a fan of DC I'm used to the theme mostly revolving around one character. Spider-Man and Iron Man obviously sell, it doesn't really bother me that they're used so much. I have to wonder if this is leading up to anything in the armory set or some more sets we don't know about, or if they're planning on continuing this in next year's waves. (Or if it's going anywhere at all, for that matter)
  11. So much for nothing left for DC, haha. Display pieces like this usually aren't really my thing, although I have to admit Batman looks enticing... I suppose I'll wait and see what the prices on these are (or just wait for an inevitable sale).
  12. That's a really funky looking Hulkbuster, it looks like Hulk got the better of him and sat on his head. Avengers Tower looks amazing though, definitely worth getting. Who are those other two minifigs though? Are they just Iron Man drones, other suits, or something else?
  13. That's true, although we don't know how much Mario would cost by himself - maybe $60 is the absolute cheapest they could do for Mario and anything for him to interact with, maybe not. The best we can go by is ppp, which suggests Mario alone is around $35/$40, but we don't know for sure. It still leaves a sour taste in most people's mouths that the interactivity feature, which was done at the expense of minifigs and traditional set designs which most people wanted (this is why I bring it up - my point isn't really that we aren't getting it, but rather that it's the interactivity aspect itself as the reason we aren't getting it), is what the entire theme revolves around, yet is gated behind one of the theme's most expensive sets. tl;dr We wanted traditional sets, we don't get them because the entire theme revolves around the interactivity, interactivity is gated behind a $60 set.
  14. Oh wow, I didn't even notice that, Fire Mario does too. I take it back then, the whole line-up is awful. I guess they can't recolor Mario for these since he's only available in one set, but it makes me question why they bothered doing these at all if they couldn't make them look even close. This theme just continues to disappoint...
  15. The main issue here is that the entire theme is being pushed on the interactivity aspect, which cost us minifigs and more traditional system-based sets most of us were hoping for, but then it's being locked behind a $60 set. I agree that every set including Mario and having a drastic jump in price as a result wouldn't be the best thing, but I don't think having the lowest cost to get the interactive Mario being $60 is good when the whole theme revolves around it, especially since it's clearly targeted at kids who probably don't have a ton of money to throw around for Lego sets.
  16. Switch user here, give me my Spider-Man!
  17. Honestly I think these are pretty bad. I still think the Mario figure is ugly as is, but setting that aside... Ouch. Fire Mario and Builder Mario look okay, but Propeller Mario and Cat Mario look nothing like their video game counterparts. They don't just wear little hats like that and shouldn't have overall buttons. The screen makes Cat Mario look even worse.
  18. All the sets we know of for this year have been revealed, so unfortunately this is it until we get 2021 set leaks unless there's a surprise announcement.
  19. The Black Widow in the Helicopter Chase set with Taskmaster is a new MCU version.
  20. Understandable, though to my understanding Lego can't make more Endgame sets unless Marvel asks them to.
  21. It's not just this set, this is by far the most negative thread I follow here, and I have to admit it gets tiring when practically every set is dismissed as garbage by 5 posts in a row. And sure, the constant mechs and motorcycles can get old but I really don't think the builds are that bad.
  22. The Galaxy one is Mario with a black hat and overalls.
  23. I assume "Flying Mario" is Flying Squirrel Mario from New Super Mario Bros. U and not the Flying Mario power-up from Super Mario Galaxy, correct?
  24. Wasn't the TIE Bomber also part of the vote?
