    has finished building the new Milano set in LDD. Now he wants to build the 2014 one to compare. He is a little disappointed, however, by how downscaled the new Milano is compared to the old one, when aspects such as the flaps (small wedge plates vs huge Technic panels) and the landing gear are considered.

      Update: Finished the old Milano. The new one IS smaller, but not as much as I thought. :classic:

    It was originally used as a Queen hairpiece, it needed to hold the crown. Fortunately I got the queen first so I wasn't confused by the hole in Leia's hair

    I'm not either. Considering how much detail we got from the UCS Slave I Boba, these look like someone took the Snowspeeder Dak Raltar and just slapped a painted helmet on it.

    I built it in LDD. The technique for the cockpit really "WOW"-ed me. @SpiderJazz "I told you to buy a bigger ship..." EDIT: @SpiderJazz, this might be even clearer for you to see how cramp it is.

    @QwikBricks, you truly are a great reviewer. Detailed reviews are enjoyable and usually cover more, but if you're in the LEGO store making a decision, you don't want to watch a 10min video. Thanks for this review, 2-3 minutes for a modular building… wow!

    Thanks for the review @makoy. To me this set is pretty poor. It uses minifigures to mask what is truly a pretty bad build in my opinion. Don't we buy LEGO for the build experience? I get that minifigures are appealing, but the true meaning of LEGO is the builds, and in that aspect the set fails. I also find that, even as a facade, the jail looks pretty poor and doesn't seem to have much interesting play features (barring the sliding door). Still, I enjoyed your review, especially the humorous tidbits!

    So today I was just looking at my Dak Raltar minifigure, and it struck me about how awesome it would be to get a Rebel X-wing Pilot with a molded visor. Kinda like this but instead with the standard OT Rebel helmet:

    It's not gone, it's unpinned. But thanks for the update, I'm guessing those sets did not sell well. Weren't they summer sets? That seems really really quick.

    I think so. Why don't you just get a $30 set in a theme that interests you? If you really don't like the batwing poly, you can always use it for parts later on. Plus this polybag is great.
