Today I will be comparing 75003 A-wing Starfighter (2013 version) with 75175 A-wing Starfighter (2017 version). First, here are the descriptions. 75003: 75715: I will be comparing them in aspect by aspect. Playability: 75003: 4x Flick-fire missiles, Opening cockpit, 1x landing gear 75175: 2x Spring-loaded shooters, 2x rotating cannons, Opening cockpit, 3x Landing gear, Rebel Maintenance service cart with detachable accessories and ladder. While 75003 does have firing weapons and basic ship equipment (like opening cockpits and landing gear), 75175 definitely has much more, including well-integrated spring-loaded shooters. Winner: 75175 Accuracy: 75175 is definitely more accurate than 75003 (one of the pros of newer sets), as the rear flaps are definitely thinner, using a new molded piece, as opposed to 75003's brick built ones. Also, 75175's engines are more accurate when compared to 75003's. The only portion that 75003 is more accurate than 75175 is that the greebling in between the engines is more realistic to the movie than 75175, as 75003's greebling is completely grey, while 75175 has some yellow highlights. Winner: 75175 Value Many have criticized 75175 for being similar in size to 75003, yet costing £20 more. However, believe it or not, closer inspection yields the opposite. 75175 has 358 pieces and costs £44.99, amounting to 12.6 cents per piece. 75003 has 177 pieces and costs £24.99, amounting to 14.1 cents per piece. However, due to the fact that the size of the ships are so similar, and 75175 only comes with a small rebel maintenance cart to try to justify the value, I consider 75003 the winner in this aspect. Winner: 75003 Minifigures 75003 has an A-wing pilot dressed in dark green, Han Solo who only otherwise appears in Ewok Village, and Admiral Ackbar who only appears otherwise in 2009's Home One. 75175 has an A-wing pilot dressed in normal green, Lando Calrissian who is exclusive, and a generic Rebel Technician who is also exclusive. While 75175 has all-exclusive minifigures and a new Lando Calrissian, 75003 has two named characters (Han and Ackbar) as opposed to 75175's one (Lando) and thus, 75003 takes the cake. Winner: 75003 Displayability: Overall, 75175 has better displayability than 75003. This is due to the fact that it is more accurate, and the shooters are better integrated in 75175 (under the front portion) than in 75003 (used instead of guns). Also, the little rebel maintenance cart helps to finish off a little display scene. Winner: 75175 Time to tally scores! Playability: 75175 Accuracy: 75175 Value: 75003 Minifigures: 75003 Displayability: 75175 Overall winner: 75175 Hope you enjoyed this comparison! VaderFan2187

Hello everyone! As we all know, there is an innumerable number of potential new moulds for pieces out there. I just want to know, are there any types of new pieces that would benefit LEGO Star Wars? For me, I would have: A waist-attached piece (like TLBM Batman belt) with a clip on the side, to clip on minifigures' lightsabers and blasters. A new blade piece for the darksaber: resembling the top of the ninja sword but with a bar at the bottom to attach to a lightsaber hilt. Let me know if you all have any ideas.

Most impressive. Can't wait to see the irl version of this. And wow, that size comparison with 10179 REALLY puts things in perspective! -
May I know in which part this step occurs?

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

I thought nowadays LEGO allows you to slot astromech droids into the droid socket. Only the old Jedi ships had merely astromech droid heads. -

I'm actually kinda hyped that they're making a new Delta A Starfighter. Wonder how big it'll have to be to be able to slot an astromech in on the side. -

@Magmafrost Yeah, I echo most of what you said, except my prices are even worse. And *cough*… my currency is almost equal with yours. Also, my prices are normally 2x those of the US prices. And imagine how upset I was when Amazon stopped shipping LEGO to my country. Hovertank: $30 US Reviews: "Very good value!" Me: $70 Me: "Ugh." AT-ST: $40 US Reviews: "Awesome value!" Me: $100 Me: "Really bad value." The only time I actually got a set less than 2x the US price is with this year's The Phantom II. It costs $40 US, while it's $70 for me. However, that price is still really stupid.

It's a good set, with good value. It's just that it was a disappointment to AFOLs, as they expected a full size one.

I don't really think so. But is the new Y-wing actually shorter than the 2012 one? -

Did anyone notice that the TIE Striker's wings don't move up and down in the movie? Maybe the concept art changed after LEGO designed theirs. -

Yep, but we haven't had an Interceptor with a Booster Ring since 2007, so either is welcome for me! If it IS an Interceptor (though probably not), then it should be Obi-wan's Utapau version -

It'd be too big. Also, we already had a flash speeder in 2015 with the N-1. More likely is 1 set: Naboo City Another set: Duel on Naboo

Yeah. The quality is kinda like a custom's one. But I still hope 4-LOM is in that BP. -

Detailing on head looks a little subpar. Torso & leg printing aren't up to LEGO's standards nowadays. I think it's fake? -
The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
VaderFan2187 replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yet another reason that may be the big reveal? While I'm happy, I'm also kinda disappointed with all the rereleases. Are the designers running out of ideas? What do you mean? A 10,000+ piece Star Destroyer? -
That part was unnecessary imo. Just a crappy cartoon. And that dinosaur thingy is creepy. I mean, what Wookiee watches rebel-themed cartoons when the Empire is in your house?

>> I have GitD 1x1 round plates and a GitD spider. >> And I think the first ever GitD element was the ghost. >> No, not all LEGO elements are available in GitD. >> I don't recall a vehicle or structure being entirely GitD. >> Normal transparent pieces are not GitD. >> Batman does have a GitD head, but do you play with LEGO when it is all dark? Imo it's just a gimmick that looks cool to kids.

Heh, I actually watched the whole Holiday Special. Okay, it's bad but not like "the worst thing in the world". One wonders if Itchy, Malla, and Lumpy would make good figures.

Actually, it is never outright stated. It's just that TLG always purposely shuns those sets. Like the Jedi Council, along with the exceptional BB-8 (which I honestly think should have won)
