  1. It's a comicbook set. MCU has huge influence on Marvel as a whole, so minifigures from comicbook sets might look really similar to their MCU counterparts.
  2. Just finished all the episodes, and I really liked them. Such a good season. The sets have done a fantastic job of covering the whole season. The builds are all really accurate, except maybe The Crystal Palace, but it looks so amazing on my display that I can't complain. As for the minfigures, they are all exceptional — except, unfortunately, Lloyd and Garmadon. (Ironic, isn't it? Probably the most important characters in the whole series). Lloyd's regular suit has a golden shoulder pad, which doesn't fit well at all. And the Golden variant... is, well, an incomplete and inaccurate minifigure of a costume that appeared for five seconds. We should've gotten his regular Golden suit instead, with black hand a ninja mask with a black bandana. Garmadon is also pretty awkward — it's not the Oni variant, because it doesn't have two additional arms, nor the wings, but it's also not the regular Garmadon, because it has an Oni mask instead of his helmet. Still, the wave is pretty amazing, and the season was great, so I am really satisfied (plus, most magazine gifts are absolutely fantastic). Not rumours — at Comic-Con the creators of Ninjago have confirmed an all-new series is coming next year. By all-new they mean that it's not the Ninjago: Masters of Spjnjitzu to Ninjago case, where the latter is considered as seasons 11–15. It will be more separated than that, but we don't know how much.
  3. Oh wow, didn't expect to get Golden Ninja in the magazine. This is amazing. So we've got only Jay left. I suppose they'll also use the Golden variant instead of the Dragon one. If that's the case, I'll need to buy his motorcycle to get all Crystalized Jay variants.
  4. They are consistent tho — PG-13 (TV-14 / PEGI 16) is as far as they go. Sure, The Batman or The Dark Knight are darker than your average CBM, but they are both PG-13. It's an objective number that LEGO follows. If Deadpool 3 was PG-13, we'd get sets for it. It isn't tho, which means no sets.
  5. I would sacrifice a mortal soul for more Deadpool sets. But my subjective needs don't correlate with objective facts in this case. Deadpool is an R-rated property, which LEGO simply doesn't even consider making sets based on.
  6. Sure, but it's a kids' toys company first and foremost. Parents trust they will deliver products appropriate for children, and LEGO plans on doing just that, whether we AFoLs like it or not.
  7. Sure. LEGO has covered all live-action Star Wars series so far, so I don't see why we wouldn't get any sets. We don't know if we'll get them next year tho. If the series airs late 2023, we could see the sets in January 2024.
  8. No, and it's not a matter of opinion. In terms of branding, 18+ is the exact same thing as 4+. While the latter sets are targeted for young children, the former are targeted for adults. It has nothing to do with IPs they're based on, but the attractiveness of sets themselves to certain age groups. A 37-year-old person can buy a 4+ set, and an 11-year-old one can buy an 18+ set. And LEGO does not want young children to be playing with sets based on movies with nudity, swearing, blood, and realistic violence.
  9. In the Suicide Squad's case, the name is the issue. LEGO doesn't really want sets with the word Suicide in them, so they made tie-in Batman sets with multiple members (Harley, Deadshot etc.). Not to mention that the first movie looked like terrible material for LEGO sets. The second one was R-rated, so no sets at all. And yes, Deadpool 3 was confirmed to be R-rated multiple times. Which means it's not eligible for LEGO set treatment. They'll have to. They do not make sets for IPs that are targeted to adults.
  10. I'd bet all my money on the fact that we won't get any Deadpool 3 sets. People don't understand how the 18+ branding works for LEGO — it means that the build is more advanced and complex, targeted especially for adult collectors. It has nothing to do with the age rating of the IP it's based on. Just like we won't see any sets for Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, or The Witcher, the cinematic Deadpool franchise is the same case. Doesn't mean we will never see a comic Deadpool minifigure again tho. Not to mention that if Deadpool would have a prominent role in a PG-13 MCU project, he possibly could appear in a set.
  11. Wall-E and Eve sounds nice, might even consider buying it. I wish Disney gave us more sets with regular minifigures, especially to celebrate the anniversary. Well, I hope the CMF doesn't disappoint.
  12. Yes and no. Crystalized will be the last seasons of Ninjago, but next year we are getting a new series, which might be a continuation. We don't know how it will really work, or if it will even have Ninjago in its title. The creators said that while it's not a reboot, neither will it be considered Season 16. We will still be getting sets tho. Core will return in January and March, while in Summer we'll probably get sets based on the new series.
  13. We are getting arm-printed Mando in regular sets. They didn't do that before his Beskar armour, but they've started last year, and they aren't stopping. We'll definitely get an updated helmet in the 2023 sets.
  14. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ci-IbpgIXtM/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= This video is really impressive
  15. The set looks awesome. The Mandalorian looks absolutely fantastic. They improved the helmet, and the arm printing really is an incredible touch.
  16. I'd take the most ridiculous, hilarious version they could make. Obviously license plates with 'M0RB1US 4EVER' are a must.
  17. Same. If it was 50€, I'd save it for some more interesting sets, but come on, Morbius with an Automorbile for 25€? That sounds so hilarious that I have to get it.
  18. This would honestly be a set that's so hilarious that a lot of people would buy it. Same with the Morbius one — I haven't bought a comicbook-based set since 2018, and I'm seriously considering buying the Automorbile, just because of the memes and how ridiculous it sounds.
  19. I thought I've seen a single source mentioning it in the past, but I couldn't track down who that was (or if I was just mistaken. But then again, look at the 2023 Ninjago wave — regular 10€ sets have 94 and 148 pieces, and another separate 10€ set has only 64 pieces. The last two 10€ Ninjago 4+ sets had between 50 and 60 pieces, so I guess it's safe to assume a 67 piece 10€ Marvel set is also gonna be 4+ (Shuri's Lab has 58).
  20. Has anyone confirmed that the smallest Guardians of the Galaxy set (67 pieces for 10€) is a 4+ set, or is it still unknown?
  21. Because LEGO is horrible at revealing sets, that's why.
  22. That's the whole point of this series tho. The Skywalker Saga has always shown the Rebels as the perfect heroes, and the Empire as the evil villains. The thing is, all of it is a shade of gray. Sure, as a whole the Empire is evil, but a lot of people who accepted it are just trying to live their lives and adapt. The Rebels, on the other hand, have a noble cause, but they also have to use drastic methods, as shown in Rogue One. And remember that in this series, the Rebellion doesn't yet exist, so most people just try to survive. The fact that his actions immediately result in big consequences is why this scene works so well. No one tried to paint it as 'look how heroic he was', but rather they've chosen to show how quickly something like that escalated.
  23. Well that's because it wasn't made with kids in mind. Just like Young Jedi Adventures will be made specifically for children, Andor was made for a more mature audience. I love this series so much becquse it's actually the first Star Wars project that shows how regular people live in this world. Seeing basic things like sex acknowledged was such a fresh breath of fair for me, instead of another Jedi vs Sith galaxy-saving adventure.
