  1. I love this so, so much!!!!(typed from my ektrop chair)
  2. The alpaca set looks great! I think every single one of the jungle subtheme has a ton to offer- so much nature scenery! I bet $2 internet dollars my fam enda up with every set, jungle cubes included.
  3. I would say so- as a parent I don't necessarily care about PPP for sets less than $20. There is a a lot of play value in the portability and $10 is prime impulse buy range. My kids have really taken to them- so much so that I hope City produces some similar vignettes. I think it is a neat way to produce some pieces that would fill some niche desires. There doesn't seem to be a huge will to create a library set for example- I think a cute city Library cube would be a day 1 purchase for us!
  4. You'd appreciate Animal Train Town, our little layout based on my two kid's respective obsessions- the Dragon and Dinosaur district is a personal favorite of mine! : ) My gal is legendary for her love of all things animals especially in Lego form. She got 4 duplicates of the Turtle Rescue for her birthday from uncles and friends! (kept two, returned the others to use towards a Jurassic set!) Both of my kids can't wait to get their hands on the upcoming sets for the animals they have their eyes on- I notice my nieces and nephews are the same way! Seems like this year we are getting so many fun animals that maybe we can anticipate more and more great animals based on continued interest from kids (and their adults!!)
  5. The waterfall looks really awesome! My kiddo pointed out that it looks like it comes with 5 animals which meets her gold standard. Excited to see the waffle House/ restaurant in particular!
  6. Buildings look great!
  7. Add me to the camp that hopes the National Geographic tie in continues and we get these animals in ecology/education themed sets.
  8. Yes!!! I really love this idea and would think it would have widespread appeal from Duplo age- AFOL age. I think this would be a great way to avoid the negative attention a zoo theme might bring while encouraging the deep connection people feel to animals and their welfare. I do think Lego avoids it quite nicely with the yearly animal rescue theme within Friends so I'm sure they could really do a nice job within City. A nice animal rescue, nature preserve or wild life rescue, perhaps?
  9. The poly bag has the National Geographic Logo on it. Lego and National Geographic seems like a slam dunk partnership. Could this be the way we get many exotic animals in Lego form? Education and conservation paired with the platform Lego has? I am really excited at the prospect!
  10. This is so great!
  11. I messed up the quote function- I'm sorry.... In response to Legomymamma Re Lego fawns : ) yes- I was able to get one for her off of Bricklink when her deer obsession started! She has a whole deer gang with the fawn, Sven and the baby reindeer from the Frozen 2 set. She is getting the Harry Potter set with the Deer Patronus. I'm thinking the recolor would be a hit with her!
  12. A LLAMA! Here's to hoping that the winter cubes feature a deer because my deer loving child will lose her mind!
  13. My daughter too! We are huge into graphic novels! I think the artwork is lovely!!!
  14. I have a daughter and a son, my husband and I have really encouraged our kids to build an inclusive Lego world. Our Lego town is one in which Mini Dolls and Mini Figs coexist happily. I see a lot of appeal for both my kids, I'd like to see City produce something similar- everyone seems to be on the hunt for animal molds and specialized pieces and this could be a cool opportunity to get them on the market at impulse buy prices. My kids are huge fans of Ellie V on youtube, the first thing my daughter said is that they could use these pods to make small apartments like a recent Ellie V challenge. Basically, tiny vignettes after they build as intended. I love the stack able design and think there is a lot of room for creativity. We haven't broken into one yet because it is a Valentines day gift but all in all I think they will add to our creative set up.
  15. The baby rabbits are pretty transferable imo- what about the white bird that comes with Jasmine sets?
  16. The burger shack is incredible!! This was fun and inspirational to look though! Thanks for sharing!
  17. The faces on the mini princesses especially Elsa are much more accurate imo.
  18. Oh man, My daughter would love that. She talks about angry Hei Hei like it is a deep tragedy from her youth. : )
  19. Do you think the mini princesses are the right scale for minidoll children? I think the blindbag animal is a slam dunk idea for little girls right now- they are a bit slow to the trend but I think my daughter will be so into it!
  20. First 2020 pictures wave are out- I can't quite gauge scale but I think that they might be the "right" size for minidoll "kids." I think they look interesting! Edit, Sorry if this is the wrong thread to talk about this! : )
  21. Oh my gosh- Larry has seen some things, man lol!
  22. I also think you're forgetting the power of nostalgia. The kids who were first captivated by HP are now reproducing and we are better paid then when we were 9. (I'm guessing by the fact you have an 8 year old that you were maybe a little older than me when the books came out.) You better believe our children have all ready been primed to be obsessed with the universe. Signed, a first generation Harry Potter fan.
  23. I don't understand 4chan but yay! All of this sounds so exciting!
  24. I have been thinking this too... I don't think the mindolls will change... I have always wondered why they were taller though...seems to make a lot more sense to have the figs/dolls the same height. I think there is a lot of potential in Finn and his sister embracing each other's Lego and their forces uniting! In my house they coexist peacefully though with no issue ? The reboot did reference tv tie ins. I wonder what will change about the show! I'm guessing more adventures and activities beyond rescuing animals. The tree house had a zip line feature and a water gun... Looks super fun. I'm not hoping they move away from the core group...just add to them! Maybe at least change up their outfits every year like they do in the elves line.
