  1. If this is meant to be the most complex and detailed version of Hogwarts yet it'd be interesting to see the designers try to tackle the Clocktower, the courtyard in front of it and the wooden bridge - they've just done one Hogwarts set that can function as a bridge and I think the wooden bridge is the most iconic part of Hogwarts that hasn't yet appeared in a set, followed only by the Bell Towers
  2. Really hoping there is at least one new molded dino - recolours are fine for a new adult Anky for example but I'm really hoping this year's sets feel a bit more new and exciting then the year with just the recoloured Camp Cretaceous dinos. I wonder if it's possible to make a good-sized Triceratops skull for 358 pieces, one which could stand equal next to the Rex skull. Triceratops as the next fossil definitely makes sense - a raptor skull wouldn't be as distinctive and the only other really iconic skeleton I can think of would be a pterodactyl's, which would probably not look as good unless it is the whole skeleton.
  3. Drat I forgot that detail, ignore me!
  4. Might have been guessed already but what about Tera Sinube, the Jedi with a white lightsaber from Clone Wars. His dead body was in Kenobi so he’d count as live action Another option is a High Republic jedi, who often wear white robes and are often peaceful. Vernestroh Rwoh is going to appear in the live action Acolyte series - she’s probably controversial with Star Wars fans considering she’s A) female and B) a plucky teenage character Edit: neither are human characters
  5. Great review! I’ve been considering this set for a while because I really like the Skimwing set and this seems like a good accompaniment. You’ve fully convinced me now! I agree with you on the price - as soon as the Ilu is discounted to £15-17 I’ll snap it up. The Skimwing was on sale for £19 recently so hopefully the Ilu has a similar sized discount soon
  6. I definitely would prefer the orc disguises especially if it comes with their 2 helmets but then torsos with chain mail and armour prints wouldn’t fit any sort of Mount Doom posing at all - maybe they could both come with attachable breastplates to fit over their outfits from the finale?
  7. Ok, sounds like we should keep expectations in check and not get our hopes up - there’s been such an overflow of information in the past 24 hours that false rumours could line up with actual information. That being said, Yaddle could easily fit as an anniversary figure imo
  8. Have you tried using scales to weigh the boxes? I used them for the marvel cmf and it worked perfectly for me - figures are really the same weight it would seem
  9. I think clone commandos are so requested that there could actually be one somewhere next year, even with another clone anniversary figure in the form of Fives I know Dryden Vos was a big omission in the Solo wave but I wonder if he could lack a bit of the ‘wow-factor’ compared to figures with cool headgear and extensive backstories - a Dryden figure would be pretty basic apart from the red-vein face-print
  10. I agree that we should expect at least 1 figure from the OT and 1 from the PT, plus 1 from the last 10 years of Star Wars stuff What would you guys say would be the most-wanted character for each era? In terms of demand I’d say it’s: Original Trilogy: Nien Numb Prequel Trilogy: Dexter Jettster Last 10 years: Saw Gerrara
  11. This kind of comment is just not helpful - the Star Wars fandom is massive and sprawling and different people like many different parts of it, including the high republic That being said I would be very surprised if we get a figure from that just because of how recent it is - I imagine Lego will play it safe. Considering how long the design process can take it’s very possible we won’t see anything from the last five years - especially considering how Fives’ last episode was almost 10 years ago (2014) and Malak will presumably be based off a game from 2003!
  12. I imagine the great mothers, as a part of the second half of the episodes, were kept a complete secret so Lego would only known of their existence when we did. On the other hand, they might have started brainstorming and designing anniversary minifigures 2 or 3 years ago! So basically the great mothers are way too recent to affect whether Lego would have considered a mother talzin minifigure
  13. I don’t want to wish list on the main page but in light of the rumour of anniversary figures from potentially any era of Star Wars here are my hopes: Boss Nass Durge The Son (any of the 3 Mortis gods would be cool tbh) Darth Bane from clone wars season 6 Tion Medon Black Krrsantan The Crimson Corsair, Sidon Ithano
  14. Maybe one of these figures could be controversial because they belong to a faction that gets lots of sets and could easily have been put in a normal set? Boss Nass for the gungans or any imperial character for example. Then again Fives is part of a clone legion that has had loads of Lego exposure these past few years and everyone’s still happy to get him. Both Fives and Malak also have a ‘cool’ action-figure appeal to them - alongside them we could get a less action-focused character like Shmi, the Client or Dr Pershing who would be probably quite a bit more unpopular to certain fans
  15. So Renown said that there was another clue they could give that would “put the cat among the pigeons” which would suggest controversy - I wonder if there’s any characters that wouldn’t be wanted in Lego form by most of the people on this forum? It’s promising that there’s no hint of variants of already existing characters so far - maybe all the anniversary figures are characters who haven’t been done before?
  16. According to Max Bautde on Instagram the Tantive diorama scene will include a Fives bonus figure and the buildable R2 will include Darth Malak
  17. Oh wow the Tantive comes with SEVEN minifigures! For around 55 dollars! That’s going to be an insanely popular set for AFOLs I imagine. Is it possible all the anniversary figures known about so far only come in the March sets? So no special minifigures in the Clone battlepack or Firehawk set.
  18. I think the brachiosaurus skeleton will be cool but if could be quite small to still fit into the building - like the scaled-down Rex skeleton in the visitor centre
  19. Phew the polar bears are still in stock here in the UK! Also some of the animals and animal parts don’t have pictures on the bricks and pieces, anyone else found that?
  20. Imagine if he’s bright green like the goblin figure and original Hulk
  21. Looking at the new Lego pirate GWP and does the black and red castle remind anyone else of fright knights?
  22. That’s so interesting, I never thought about how there’d be one team for the CMFs, for some reason I assumed the licensed ones weee designed by the sets team. It’s so cool that cmfs like the Harry Potter ones are still so consistent with the sets
  23. So there’s a Ford Anglia set and a Hagrid’s Hut set, plus maybe another 2018 remake (we got the last Hagrids Hut in 2019). It’ll be interesting to see if there’s a Hogwarts set this wave off if the designers wait for the summer. It’ll also be interesting to see if the builds are simplified or smaller this wave.
  24. A Ford Anglia set would actually be really cool! I never got the 2018 set as I didn’t like the whomping willow or castle builds It’d be cool if it could fit four minifigures and included Fred and George but it’ll probably just be Harry and Ron which is a bit dull I feel like quidditch and Hagrids Hut remakes have been expected for a while so those wouldn’t be surprising. Could we be looking at yet another Great Hall set?
  25. Was Gollum included in the minifigure line-up on the survey? It’d be a bit dark but the only time we saw inside Barad Dur was to see Gollum’s prison cell / torture chamber lol
