Thanks again everyone for the kind words... That's interesting! I had similar conversations/arguments regarding what would make a good 'bounty ship' - My first iteration actually was a lot more studly and greebly - with even a large chunk missing from the front ... but everyone kept suggesting I smooth it out (as studless is the fad these days) I guess I went a bit overboard in smoothing it out All this dissection into what makes a SW ship actually kinda makes me want to build an TOS-equse Empire or Rebel ship oh REDEMPTION. I actually had a bit of that ship in mind especially when I was building out the fin - even going so far as intended to build the entire back half of entirely greeble - but I steered away trying something more 'original' - but it's a total coincidence that I made the back story also a medical ship.. I'm pretty sure my ship's bricks evolved from ABS. Then again ... semi-intelligent created did build it... Thanks for the ruling (and the kind comments) I think my new favourite word is: magnanimous (who else had to look it up? ) Just call me Si-Magnanimous

Thanks for the comments guys! I don't want to cause trouble ... I will gladly move this over to Sci-Fi if it's appropriate. While my original thought was well - it's for a SW centric LEGO site, building a original ship for Star Wars Universe (implied, not expressly written) - plus I saw some other ships already here - made sense to post them in the SW forum. But you do have a point - with those guidelines pretty much any ship with a 'bounty hunter' could be considered. I think It's best to let a Moderator make the call and determine if original ship that were meant to be in the SW realm - actually belong here in the SW forum. If so then great. if not we can easily move the thread! Thanks very much ;) Crazy ship for Crazy bounty hunter Thanks! Nebulonb-B? not familiar with that? Thanks man! It's on the side *AND* at a non perpendicular angle (it's built off a pentagon) - the jumble of parts - or greeble - was always a key element for SW ships for me - I guess that's why I have the sub-concious need to always put in greeble - cause Starwars did it

Thanks for all the comments guys & Gals! You know me, I love me my greebs ;) Wow thanks for the glob ;) *blink* ... wow... I think you're right. IT DOES remind me of something from ME! maybe it crept in subconsciously. Thanks! I would say if they would duke it out - Boba would probably win - but the Tzu could out race him! Nah SW forums has a very unique feel - where as Sci-Fi is far more open - including non 'space' things. Certain people have particular focus and I think the two forums coexist nicely now. Haha I knew you were a smart one ;) Thanks! I'm going to need all the luck I can get - they're some pretty heaving SW hitters out there - frankly I'll feel accomplished if I make it into bracket round. SW isn't my usual theme. Thanks a lot! I tried to build something ... different - while trying to keep it in the SW realm - overall I think I did ok - hiding the battery pack and wiring the lights was particularly problematic to try to keep the shape I had in my head.

Wow. Even though it's scrap - that's pretty great stuff!

Looks pretty cool - some nice shaping with those plate wedges. [quote name='Hollander' date='27 October 2011 - 08:20 PM' timestamp='1319757638' post='1105049' As for the constructive criticism, I would recommend to use a white background, so the model stands out more. I have to agree... it doesn't have to be white - but you should try to put on something that isn't same colour as your moc

Empire Intel Dossier: Bounty Hunter Sun The origins of Bounty Hunter Sun are not known. S/he started making appearances several years ago, capturing men long thought to be dead. From Intel gathered from bounties, we have established that Sun is an intellectual first, and a fighter second. Sun's methods are varied but tends to trap its pray with little or no fighting. Though we do have reports that when he is forced to engage in scuffles he easily out matches his opponents. Once captured, the Bounties are placed in a secure holding cell with force beam bars. Unlike most Bounty Hunters ships the cell is directly adjacent to the ships cockpit - allowing Sun to talk or monitor the prisoner without the need of cameras or other monitoring devices. We have also had multiple reports of Bounty Hunter Sun engaging in games with his captives - with the promise of freedom if the Bounty beats Sun - we have no confirmation if s/he would be true to their word - as no one has reported fairly beating Sun. Bounty Hunter's Sun's Equipment: Sun perpetually wears some sort of luminance face mask which has been seen to fluctuate in brightness depending on the situation. It is not known what species Sun is nor its appearance. While some speculate the helmet is to hide a disfigurement, others believe that the mask is donned to strike fear into its prey. Sun's other most visible attribute is his Light Sabre staff. While he does not appear to be in tune with the Force, he does wield it comfortably. Reports show that s/he does not actually use the Light Sabre staff as a weapon - instead tends to use it as a visual and auditory distraction while s/he uses a blaster to actually subdue each bounty. Bounty Hunter Sun's ship: The Tzu The Tzu appears to be a retrofitted Cardonian Medical Transport Ship. Originally designed to retrieve and exfiltrate medical patients in war zones and rapidly transport them to Medical Stations. It seems logical that Sun would use this as the basis for the Bounty ship as it has the armour, the speed and maneuverability. Sensor scans and photo reconnaissance can conclude that the Tzu has added two C class Ion Cannons to the Tzu, as well as a rear facing Ion Turret. It is speculated that the Tzu also has a host of counter-measures and other offensive weapons but the evidence is inconclusive - as no ship has ever survived combat against the Tzu. Conclusion: Bounty Hunter Sun is considered extremely dangerous - he should not be approached or impeded. S/He does not appear to have any political affiliation and will work for the highest bidder. Cleared for Bounty work. Additional ship composites: End Empire Intel Dossier -- My entry for FBTB MOC Madness contest. Contest notes: Build out of 100% stock lego - 3 sets of PF lights and light brick, with occasional use of black lighting (Thanks Rook!) Special thanks goes out to Nick, Iain, John, and Ken for their usual notes and suggestions!

That black lighting is fun! though can you use something that is less... purply-reactive? like black? Still super fun moc, good job!
-
Hehe you went back again? Dangerous habit my friend, dangerous ;)
-
Ha! I actually laughed out loud at the ice block Very clever :) What did you use for the star backdrop? is it just photo shopped? or do you have a backdrop with white dots?
-
Hehe cute :) I dig it! I might as well chime in - I like Flickr - I like the commenting and notes features it has :)

It's going to be a super-month! two contests... with upwards of THREE entries from everyone. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with

Happy Birthday guys! Have one on me!

Wow... that REALLY makes me... It's one thing to bring superfluous people - at least that's waiting in line and such - but that's plain cheating and wrong IMHO. -- Anyways there were a few other things you could get on the weekend - they're 'exclusive' just not 'exclusive to Fairview opening' A generic Yoda Duplo brick: and a participation certificates - yay me! -- And how can we not post the finished build: and there are a few more pictures up on my Flickr stream

Another great day at the Grand opening! It was fantastic to see some old friends again! And the FINISHED Yoda, and the heartbreakingly fun task of 'shredding' it... I'll post pictures tonight after work. I am pretty Sly... and I do make do try to mock myself Fantastic news! The previous rumour of a 3rd Toronto store would be a bit excessive at this point. Spread the love! They probably gave away 400-450. the remainder were given to store staff, volunteers, LEGO Canada and probably HQ etc. The store managers got 1&2 ;) URgh. Urge to kill rising. Though I did talk to a few people and they said they brought in extra members of family just to get more... *cough* I can. (is there a 'I'm a Twig' emotion?)

Awesome day yesterday! It was fantastic to hang out with old faces and new ones! Hopefully see some other folks there today! *cough* I's Si-Mocs... didn't even look up my name right... slacker. (though I was very tempted to change a display sign from SCI-FI to SCI-MOCS @ Brickfete since my mocs made up 99% of it all Seriously, it was great meeting you Sok - we made an awesome team out there keeping things flowing Sand Green FTW!
-
FYI for those going to Fairview store opening - the store should open at 9:30 today and 11:00 tomorrow (according to website). But the building area Yoda opens at 10:00 and 11:00. So if you're interested in the exclusives (Minifigs Sat, T Shirts Sun) - I would highly suggest going early, and going to the store FIRST - get that then come out and build some bricks ;) I'll be in the black Volunteer Apron (as will others) with the super spikey hair. Come by, say hi! and don't be a stranger!

So little time. So many awesome challenges to enter. Though I'm scared go against lego-maniac
-
Thanks for the comments everyone ;) I was very confused at first - I didn't realize they were Johnny Thunder heads - they we came with the KK2 vlad poly bags where the bulk of the figs on the table are from. I guess they had tons of extra Johnny Thunders that they couldn't get rid of.

Awesome! The transforming action is awesome. and his head in particular is very nicely shaped! great work!

You mean your shirt with "ROOK" written on the back? I still think you need to get:

Wow. it's like you have a lego minituration machine. That is so cool. Very impressive how you were able to capture it all ... in such a fun sized scale!
