  1. Yep. Love the van as everyone else, love the sail boat thing too. Nice job LEGO. The new mudflaps in the police sets and on the orange and black truck are welcome pieces.
  2. Having looked at the police stations of the last 10 years I know see what I don't like about the newest one, and what I like about the 2008 and 2011 ones, the prisons are too big! They used to be smaller and made the station larger, now they are talking up more room and the station are smaller / not as detailed. I still think 7498 is my favorite, it feels complete.
  3. Targets and even Walmarts near me (which is uncommon for them) have a Disney box. Five Below had a Disney Box and Target received a ton of Disney and Series 16 last week.
  4. 6543 Sail N' Fly Marina http://brickset.com/sets/6543-1/Sail-N-Fly-Marina At some point I plan on making a modern version of it. Maybe make it a little bigger.
  5. This reminds me of a pin I have. 'Just because you are offended, doesn't make you right.' Sexism is when LEGO used to not include any female cops, construction workers, scientists, all of which I think have no waist printing.
  6. That's a good question. Series 16 was already in stores before we got pictures. I think it's 'delayed' to February this year to give series 16 and Disney more time. I'd say they will either be leaked in a newspaper like these sets after Christmas. But that's just a complete guess. Some of the sets have been leaking early because aren't a few of them coming out in a few weeks?
  7. The first post here gets updated with the new info, so it's really easy to follow that way. Joker and Batman with 124 pieces is $15 but for $5 more you get an extra minifigure and 70 more pieces. So silly. Also are the balloon bottom pieces only allowed in license sets? Friends gets the old piece but Batman and Angry Birds get new piece.
  8. Thats what every link says. So they probably were pulled or every LEGO fan went on and crashed the system.
  9. I like it because it reminds me of Ice Planet, otherwise the 2016 was very nice.
  10. It is the same piece. I honestly think that piece is kind of a cheat out for better designing. It works for the police station, but as a whole it's just not very well planned out. The jail area covers half of the station's windows. The tower on the side is kind of random. It has fine / typical 'bones' but not put together well.
  11. LEGO doesn't seem to understand what 'exclusive' means. I remember when they would throw that word around and act like a set was rare because it was a 'store exclusive'. Yeah it was exclusive to every store. Thankfully they know just cal them 'hard to find'.
  12. I never understood what happened to sand red. Sand blue and green are around, a modular in sand red brick bricks would be amazing.
  13. These are lazy rehashes of current sets that will be even more overpriced. However the new pieces, square mudflap and hat / hair piece, are great. Te little badd guy vehicles are very nicely design, more so the bulldozer. The police station is my least favorite of the last many many years. Just random. Mobile command unit is horrible and bizarre. Half the cars / trucks have car doors, so that's always nice.
  14. It was a failure. It started off strong, but it ended. It wasn't successful, the sets are still sitting in warehouses years later at half off a lot of the time. That is not success. Yes it made it to it's third year as planned, but having sets still cheaper than MSRP on Amazon years and years after the theme ended is not a success. Not a huge failure like Quadro or Ben 10, but still a failure if you can't move the product.
  15. It is never coming back. Ever. Ice Planet 2002 has a higher chance (also none) of coming back. Chima was a failure.
  16. I would be the happiest person ever if the boxes contain sand blue, sand green, and sand red. :)
  17. The 2014 one is awesome. It's large and full of window frame pieces which is great for MOCs. Plus it's always on sale (they always are), I got mine for fake 50% (really it was 46% off) and if it had a second garage door would probably be my favorite police station since the 1993-1996 timeframe.
  18. It's Coast Guard and Harbour.
  19. The modulars are 150-170 USD. New Arkham is around that price too ($150) and isn't D2C, but an exclusive in the USA to Toys R Us. So really what's the difference between a $120 Hotel set and a D2C set?
  20. I rather they cheap the random free give-a-ways and work on lowering the outrageous prices of City sets and give me a function website.
  21. Well I'm sorry (not sorry) I didn't read through 22 pages of talk that's 98% pointless filler.
  22. You would be amazed by the number of adults who spend hundreds of dollars on a set for a family member. If I had the money I'd buy it, it's amazing looking! But why make a D2C set when you can just make $120-$150 set with half the pieces?
  23. Friends is an incredibly popular theme. The $120 hotel set was one of the most profitable sets of 2015. NinjaGo is one of the biggest selling themes, yet the D2C set has been a failure, at least in the USA. They have given away free sets, and double points just to move it. Which is a shame being it's a nice set.
  24. LEGO wants everyone to buy The LEGO Batman sets.
  25. Oh okay good! Thanks! I was worried it was November, December and January. Plenty of time. (Of course things go out of stock all the time, but no biggie.)
