  1. Thank you guys! I built the explosion quite in a short time, but it turned out unexpectedly well! Even if we don’t know exactly how we will continue the story, consider this build as a “season 1 end”. Soon (hopefully, as usual)we will have an aftermath of the battle, and probably a new storyline, so stay tuned!
  2. Very nice ship, excellent rigging and a lot of details! I gave some doubts about the color scheme (the white tiles inside) but it is more a matter of personal taste rather than a real defect
  3. Lovely idea and nice execution! The underwater landscape is very good too! I especially like the way you realized the caotic warehouse, in with empty caskets and the spider web
  4. Lovely build! It seems a wooden model rather than a LEGO building. I like minifig posing too! Probably you should have built the base of the courtyard, but the presentation is very nice anyways
  5. Wow, Weelond Oktoberfest is back! I’ll try to participate for sure!
  6. Nice workshop! Both the facade and the details of the interior (bench and instruments) are very nice, I’ll probably borrow some ideas! My only suggestion is to use at least 1 removable wall, it would allow nice close up photos (but this is only a personal preference)
  7. Thanks! My only tip is to keep the little pin outside, so the flames remain in position better.
  8. Thank you! Ordering a large stock of muskets proved to be quite useful! Thank you! Actually I usually prefer a single scene depicted without changes from different angles, but… a big explosion? Somebody ordered a big explosion? A Big explosion for table 2?
  9. Thank you! To realize them I "killed" some minifigures with the camera several times, so it wasn't in vain Thank you! The fort was one of the first builds I saw here in BoBS, and the angled walls impressed me a lot even because, as I realized, they are horribly difficult to put together! About the parapet, I think that your Dark Bishop could have thought something similar (and more trivially, because my grey bricks and studs were running dangerously low! ) Thank you! For now Tristan is still "parked" in Charlatan Bay, so feel free to use in your builds for any meeting, celebrative parade or similar!
  10. To be honest I love this contest, but absolutely I don't have any skill with graphic programmes, sorry!
  11. So many facts in this issue and, as usual, lovely reported! The most interesting is probably the Lotii raid, winds of war seem blowing. It's a pity we didn't move our trade fleets, hopefully soon I'll license a class 4 for MRCAs, but I have it ready and unposted by, more or less, my joining to BoBS
  12. Lovely boats! I once built a small cargo (I think a class 2) based on the same idea (small ships doing small but vital tasks) so I like them a lot. The structure is very well done, and the cargo+minifig posing are very nice too!
  13. Nice re-introduction and excellent minifig! Where does the torso come from? And, even more importantly, welcome back!
  14. Nice ships, the little one in my opinion is the best. Probably they would look better on a plain background (a blue paper?) but they look quite well anyways. The only pity is that not seeing them together with the story it's a little difficult to understand who is who of your characters. I like how you realised the rigging and the sails: if large ships need cloth sails, paper looks excellent on smaller ones. Well done Count!
  15. As I said elsewhere, nice build, both in terms of minifigure choice and posing, details and presentation. IC, Rimbaud family is glad to have acquired a new harvesting point for their new business. *Coins jingle in background.
  16. 28 September 619, Infero Pordejon, Fort San Millar The black flag of the rebels was still waving in the wind, but it was not going to last: the tides had turned. The tides had turned. After a long shelling with the few cannons available, the strong walls of Fort San Millar were finally breached, and the final assault began. The fort, once the pride of the Ashen Guard, had been occupied since the first days of disorders by a cruel group of smugglers: they made huge profits closing the port and profiting on the provisions, even if this caused a terrible famine and made violence explode in the streets. But finally the tides had turned, and the fort represented the last stronghold of the rebel pirates. By sure, the fort was intimidating, with 32 pounders towards the bay, sturdy walls and two of the sides right above vertical cliffs. However, as Tristan had realised studying the maps, the fort had not been projected to withstand a strong assault by land: some of the walls were too low and too exposed to artillery. He doubted that it was an error in the project: since a land attack could start only from Charlatan Bay itself, more probably, the Dark Bishop didn't want to transform the fort in an impregnable fortress for a rebel garrison… whatever the cause, Tristan was more than grateful for that. In that moment, Tristan heard the first musket salvos and the screams of the wounded men. It was time to move. He incited his men, an heterogeneous group of Oleander volunteers and local militiamen, and jumped on his boat. The battle plan was simple but, hopefully, effective: a frontal assault against the lowest wall, followed by a flanking attack from the cliffs, with boats and grappling hooks, to neutralize the cannons before they could be turned towards the parade ground. The hooks were thrown towards the parapet. There was no more time to think now: thirty minutes of fire and blood and everything would have been over, in a way or in the other. Tristan unsheathed the sword and shouted a war cry, followed by his men. That day, if Ares was with them, they would have seen the end of battle for Charlatan Bay. The battle for the external walls: To the breach! A barrel of gunpowder thrown by the defenders: In the parade ground: Counterattack of the defenders: A cannon and ammunitions: A bird's eye view: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fort San Millar was finally assaulted. This is probably my last build for this storyline, but the future of Charlatan Bay is still uncertain, and peace will be frail for a long time, so... who knows? Probably Tristan will leave for the North, the Great Alliance States, the ice and the steppes, for the desert of New Oleon, the woods of Varcoast or the Southern Seas. I hope you enjoyed my builds in this storyline, and the story itself. I did. Again, I have to thank @Kwatchi and @Gulagurag, even if probably they won't read this, for the great storyline of the Dark Bishop and Charlatan Bay. In many cases, my builds retrace theirs (Fort San Millar itself, for example), or things they wrote about the settlement.
  17. Nice marketplace! I like the way you realized the stalls, with iconic minifigs and unique features. I also like the way you connected the build with the storyline, and the petite pièce of Oleander technology standing in the middle of the square. Nice uniforms too!
  18. Thumbs up for the Pirate Bay, it seems a great set (with a lot of nice parts) for everyone who builds pirate MOCs. I think the number of palm leaves will be reduced and that the structure will be consolidated a little (some of the techniques used are not standard for official LEGO sets); my only real concern is the price... but we will see in the future! About the drink, definitely tea (both ice tea, better if peach-flavored, and hot black tea); I also like espresso coffee, a must in Italian bars, or a good beer, according to the situation.
  19. Nice tavern, classic-looking but still rich of nice details. The clothes hanged on the wire (not sure that this is the right English expression) are a nice touch!
  20. As usual, wonderful way to convey us politically incorrect and distorted, but at the same time lively, funny and overall accurate news about the archipelago! The long inactivity of the WTCM had left a real hole in BoBS!
  21. I completely agree with you, provided that some of the blocked themes are removed or merged (otherwise they would take half of the first page). Best hopes for the Pirate Bay, I think it was the fastest reaching 10000 votes, but it all depends on what TLG thinks about a revival of the pirate theme.
  22. Noooooo, what are you saying? Thank you for your comments! This was my first attempt with a little of photo-editing, and I like the result. For the story, I'm trying to be as loyal as possible to the atmosphere of Charlatan Bay and of their inhabitants, that means a lot of rhum, swords and bad intentions!
  23. Nice entry! I like the minifigure choice and posing, the little details you added (fishing, with the little hole and the suitable tool; dog-sledding, with a full pack of husky dogs…) and the ice cutting itself. As stated by the rules, if you want I can buy the rights on your activity (that is, licensing it and paying you 1.5 of the licensing cost of, in this case, a small artisan). PM me if interested.
  24. As I said in the other thread, very nice build! I like the flag and the arched structure, well done!
  25. Nice build and wonderful idea. I hope to see a wide participation!
