  1. Fabian is awesome.
  2. Haldor knocked aside the heavy oak doors for what seemed like the hundreth time today, setting foot inside the hall with a significantly lighter coin purse. Snaking his way through the tables and discarded objects, the Shaman found himself a seat on the bar. After what seemed like an age, he looked around awkwardly before calling out. "So, fellows, would anyone in here be kind enough to lend a man 33 gold pieces? Soon-ish?"
  3. "Hmph, fair enough I guess. Sure I can't push you up even a little bit? If not, I'll take the offer of 15 gold, thank you very much Sir. May you ever prosper." Haldor thanked the Elf again, before departing.
  4. Damn, how could I miss that.
  5. Haldor smiled. "Of course, 75 gold it is then. The two exchanged goods for gold, leaving the Nord with 252 gold pieces. "And to return the favour, I think that I will take one of the more elegant Ethereal Cloaks off your hands, for your sale price of 220 gold. Pleasure to deal with you Sir." Haldor turned to leave, but quickly stopped again and walked back. "And one more thing, I have here something else that may interest you." Yet again Haldor reached into his pack, this time retrieving an old and musty spiked coller, he offered it to the shopkeeper for the sum of 48 gold.
  6. With all the uproar and rumour about a new stall in the market, Haldor once again found himself standing on the worn cobble stones of the traders zone. And there he was the stranger, unloading his goods and tweaking the positions of items on display. The store was stacked high with a variety of clothes and gear, most of the items looked rare, and very expenisve. The Nord nonchalantly strolled over to the man, clearly an Elf, judging by the size and prominance of his ears. "Got some nice stuff here haven't you? I don't think I've ever seen such a large collection of valuable things, and all for sale?" Pointing to a sign, Haldor spoke again. "Hmm, there it says that you will also buy rare items. I might have some unneeded artifacts somewhere in here, maybe we can come to a deal?" After a small bit of ferreting, The Nord retrieved a slightly creased cloak from his pack. "I found this a while back, and it's helped me out on more than one occassion. How about you buy this from me? It has always been of good service." Haldor handed his Lesser Ethereal Cloak to Fabian for inspection, offering 145 gold as a starting price.
  7. Looks great Sandy!
  8. As Haldor took a draught of mead while sitting in the bar, a peculiar note launched from behind him onto the wooden table that the Nord was propping up. With a clash and bang, the half-full glass was knocked aside in the wake of yet another magical letter flying past. Haldor grasped one quickly, before anymore damage could be done, and read the contents of the note. Something about a lottery, Haldor read. But what the hell was a lottery anyway? The Norseman scrawled his name in large letters accross the piece of paper, without thinking for a moment what he was signing up for.
  9. Feed him to the Death Progg. Feed him to the Death Progg. Feed him to the Death Progg.
  10. Medieval Superman MK:11 is awesome and hilarious at the same time, I have to make me one like that. The legs/body combo is surprisingly fitting, especially with the belt.
  11. You've made a lot of nice figures there. I'm not that familiar with the Spidey ones, but a quick Google search reveals that yours are very accuarate. My favourites of your collection have to be Bruce Banner (He looks very like his appearance in The Avengers) and Hawkeye's quiver. Great stuff.
  12. Your Bane is brilliant! The printing is excellently done, and your mask wrapping round the whole head is definitely a bonus.
  13. Haldor, with added clarity! Now it is possible to see him. And the 100x100 version: If it would be possible, Sandy, please could you update the Heroes Gallery using my new 100x100 picture?
  14. Finally reaching Anwyl's abandoned stall in the dead of night, Haldor leant over to take a look at the Dwarf's elemental merging equipment. After a little while of searching through bags and chests, he found what he was looking for, a series of glass vials an peculiar tubes. The Nord stowed the glassware away in his satchel, swearing to himself that he would return the items by morning. Haldor poured 100 gold pieces onto the counter, for use of the precious merging apparatus in his task, and slunk back into the shadowed back-alleys. It didn't take him long to discover it, a decrepit statue, battered away in a rotted warehouse of the docks. Haldor had heard to tale of the travelling priests, rumour saying that they came from the frozen north for an unknown purpose. What ever the tale's truth, Haldor had spent months tracking down the objects that they carried with them, the largest of which was a torn and split effigy of the god Thoric. Hidden amongst crates and packages, the forlorn statue stood proudly upon its base of soapstone and marble, as tough Thoric himself resided defiantly inside the cold stone heart. Now was the time, within the crumbling and decayed wharf, that Haldor would make use of his blessing. Layed out on the slab of icy stone, the glistening equipment looked as out of place as it was possible to be, like a golden palace in the barren wasteland. Two gems were placed there, of water and of purest light. Their binding was to be done here, alone in the broken tooth of Eubric... Haldor awoke as the sun's glow filtered through the dirt encrusted roof panes, he must have fallen asleep at some point during the process, but all was well now. By his side was the base of Thoric's stone likeness, and the Nord's tired eyes could discern a slight movement in the statue's white eyelid, as though winking. Haldor shook his head to knock away all tricks of the light and halucinations, but as he rose, he noticed something that was definitely genuine. Clutched in the cold hands of the statue, where Thoric's hammer would normally reside, was Haldor's own weapon. The rod of thick metal was held aloft, streaks of blue and white ever dancing upon the hilt, which were vibrant and glowing upon the steel head. The Nord clutched and slowly slid the weapon from out of the stone grasp, and examined his tool with deep curiosity. So this is what an elemental weapon was truly like, infused with the strength and powers of water and light themselves. The two gems were where Haldor had left them, still swirling with mist, although their power was elsewhere. It wasn't long befor Haldor was back at the marketplace, having used his new rod to guide him through routes previously unkown. Anwyl was on his hands and knees, searching around the floor and forge for the taken merging glasses, and Haldor knew exactly where they were. When the Dwarf was in the process of what looked like clambering inside a thin tubular crate, the Norseman quickly placed the appartus upon Anwyl's desk, next to the gold he left earlier. Haldor held back a smirk as the Dwarf finally looked upon his desk, to discover 100 gold pieces and the items that he had spent most of the morning looking for. Many Dwarven curses later, Haldor returned to the inn, having also had his Bear Claw glove sharpened to WP:8 for 80 gold, just as his love was beginning to stir. The task had been completed, Haldor now possessed the power of Thoric's light, and the water left behind by the traitor Bluehood. Nothing would stand in his way. Basically, that was all a long-winded way of imfusing the Heavy Metal Rod with an Aquamarine and a Diamond, and uprgrading my Claw gloves. For the total cost of 180 gold.
  15. Haldor was pacing his room in the early hours of the morning. While the city slept, Haldor knew there was something he had to do. Gathering his esential items, the Nord crept silently out of the inn, being careful not to wake Jess who rested soundly on her bed. Using the brilliant white glow of Thoric's diamond, Haldor found his way to the empty heart of the city, where no-one was to be seen. The Marketplace was empty, but Haldor had a job to do.
  16. Quest 41 is looking great already, Zepher! I just love that pig mould...
  17. Added Last of the Mohicans to my list of watched films. It was good.

  20. What an awesome team! I'm looking forward to this.
  21. Just about. The scarier the better.

  22. Someone likes The Dark Knight Rises.
  23. This is from JohnPaul's old character, Bacari the ranger. Sort of applies to Shoot Marvin in the Face, except with a cow, that Elgar was about to eat whole. This is another example of accidental shooting. I still think that the bar-fight is one of the funniest things that has happened in Heroica, I think of Docken now everytime I flip a table.
  24. In the same way that we have no honor in this country, but a fair bit of honour. I was also quite dissappointed that Dizzee Rascal got about twice as much time as classics like Bohemian Rhapsody (Which was voted the Nation's Favourite No.1 Single by ITV viewers). But I guess that was trying to convey the tastes of the new generation. I thought that the Arctic Monkeys were alright, with their performance holding a lot of atmosphere.
  25. May this be the topic for all discussion of the London 2012 Olympic games that have just begun this summer. Whether it be predictions, ideas, plans and opinions; do it all here. To start off, what are all your thoughts on last night's opening ceremony? I think that Danny Boyle did an excellent job of organising the show, with its various British quirks and humour. I was pleasantly surprised with the scenes of history panning out on green pastures inside the stadium, and it was great to see the cauldron lit by a selection of young athletes, each nominated by a famous medalist. The hundreds of flame petals rising up to form one fire was very interesting too. I got a real feeling of national pride during the festivities, and I believe that the show gave a true represenation of British culture and personality. The section with Her Majesty apparently parachute jumping out of a helicopter with Daniel Craig, and the part with Rowan Atkinson playing Chariots of Fire, I found very amusing. I'm curious to see how people overseas understood and appreciated what was going on, especially the humour. Let the talks begin!
