  1. The Norseman frowned."Damn, well it's all a lot deeper that I first thought. This isn't a chance crime for sure, no, this is bigger, no regular thug breaks into an ordinary building from outside just to take a child. Someone must have known that Elpis would be in that room alone, and targeted you to take her. Someone wants to find a way to hurt you Ellaria, and taking Elpis was their way of doing it." Haldor stopped himself for a moment before continuing. Maybe he had said too much, maybe it was too early to be thinking of conspiracies. But then again, it was all too organised to just be a random act of cruelty. He tried to reassure the girl, but he could tell by her expression that she was terrified. "But fret not about that, you go and enjoy your meal with Alexis and her pet clown. You could badly use a rest, staying like this won't help anyone." The Nord put on a weak smile, and stood up from the tabling, shouldering his pack and things, and strapped his weapon to his back. I'll stay here, keep a lookout, see what I can find. Gods know where Jess has got to."
  2. I'm not so sure. Murray was so close to beating Federer in the Wimbledon final, and one could tell it meant a lot to him. With the Olympics, Murray represented Great Britain and won gold, but there never is the cash insentive or great personal glory of having your name carved into the wall to be remembered that Wimbledon offers. Over here, it is always thought that Wimbledon is the pinnacle of Tennis glory, proving that you are the best in the world against everybody else, whereas the Olympic games is more about the Nation that you are representing. As great as Olympic gold is, think that, home games or not, Murray would consider it a greater honour to win Wimbledon. That applies for most Tennis stars as well.
  3. The big man himself has lived up to his name 'Bolt' by outrunning all opposition once again. He even found some time to pose with the mascot afterwards. I love this guy!
  4. Haldor placed an arm on her shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll get her back, just you watch, we'll find who did this. I suggest that we pay a visit to the apothacary, and try asking him if he can identify anyone who came to his shop on that day. We can check the list for anyone who stands out, and go from there. You room that you left her in, were there any signs of someone breaking in, perhaps through a window?" Haldor leant back in his chair, and grim expression over his features. His face hardened as he continued, and a slight crack formed of the handle of his mug of mead that he held rather too tightly in his right hand."And don't you worry about whichever piece of dirt hurt you back at your village, if it was him who took Elpis, I'm going to make him regret it."
  5. Wow, Dyric has so much gold! Care to lend Haldor any, say 33 pieces? :3

  6. Haldor did his best to contain his shock at how Ellaria had been targeted in such a way. The crime itself was most cruel, but the fact that a vulnerable girl such as her had fallen victim to something like this was terrible indeed. The Nord found it hard to believe that a regular goon or footpad would steal a child from their mother in such a way, so there had to be another motive. Maintaining an air of calmness, Haldor drew up plans in his head. "I know many scumbags and thugs in this city who would sink so low to do such a thing, too many unfortunately. I can't think that this is work of common criminals, but I wouldn't put it past some of those people in the nether regions of this city. Ellaria, where were you when you noticed that Elpis was gone? I think that this is more than an act of a petty outlaw, so the sooner we know why this was done, the sooner we can go and get her back. Do you know of anyone who would want to... hurt you like this? I don't for the life of me know what someone would take your daughter for, unless they had some kind of a grudge..."
  7. Ben Ainslie did a great job to get gold in the sailing, granting him the accolade of the most decorated sailor in the world. It's a good job he did win, after all the rage he has been showing around lately, but it seems that Hulk-SMASH! SAIL! does improve one's concentration after all. Murray was also impressive, winning gold in the Men's Singles final, which doubled as a spiritual rematch of the Wimbledon final that Andy lost to Federer. This time around it was Murray's game, allowing him to take revenge, and he even resisted the urge to burst into tears upon victory! I'm excited for the Men's 100m final a later on, and hopefully it will turn out to be an interesting race.
  8. While that may be, it isn't really fair to compare athletes such as Phelps to other famous legendary medalists, such as Sir Steve Redgrave, who won five gold medals over the course of five olympics. Redgrave entered one or two events per games, and won a gold in each, wheras Phelps enters nearly all of the swimming events that he is allowed to, and gets loads of golds for that.
  9. Happy Birthday Jimbodulus!

  10. Ellaria may be in a bad situation, but at least she is surrounded by plenty of concerned friends. It might be time for the return of Docken's Famous Expanding table, which is built for five persons, but can easily hold in excess of 15.
  11. I hate to double post, but this situation really requires it. A massive cheer and applause (Plus a little ) for Jess Ennis after her outstanding performance accross the heptathalon events, especially the running events which ran her to Olympic gold. I think that her and her awesome collegue Katarina Johnson-Thompson may just about be the best Heptathletes OF ALL TIME. Greg Rutherford was rather good in the Long Jump, winning gold. I admire his concentration, trying to finish one's jump while Miss Ennis is running a victory lap behind you is no mean feat. EDIT: Mo Farah wins gold in the 10 000 metre final! What a performance, he hung on throughout the 25 laps and ran forward to clinch victory in the end!
  12. Haldor sat around on the bar drinking copious amounts of mead, as usual these days. Since no-one had replied to his request for quick gold, the Nord had rarely left the hall in the warm summer afternoons, not even to visit his New Best Friend Fabian at the marketplace. Jess was indisposed with whatever it was that women got up to when they didn't want to put up with their boyfriends, and none of the regular visitors fancied a chat with the big Norseman. Allowing himself a break for clear air, Haldor absent mindedly strolled through the litter of drunken peasants and various discarded items that usually found themselves on the floor. So engrossed in his own thought, our friend the Nord barely noticed the young girl sitting alone at a table infront of him, and almost knocked her aside in his half-intoxicated stupor. "Woah, I didn't see you down there Ellaria, sorry if I may have interupted your quiet contemplation." Upon seeing her sad expression and the lack of child by her side, Haldor abandoned his quest for oxygen and sat down on a chair nearby, trying his best to adopt a helpful visage. "Ellaria, friend, why do you look so sad? Is everything alright? What has happened? Ellaria, please let me help."
  13. Watched Spielberg's blockbuster Saving Private Ryan. Very realistic with good action sequences, I thought that Tom Hanks was excellent as well.
  14. Gold gobbles by Team GB in Men's four. EDIT: Plus another gold in the Women's Lightweight Double Skulls. I have hopes for the lovely Jessica Ennis (And Katarina JT! ) later on as well.
  15. If you tell me which parts you would like the figure to be made from, I can take a picture and post it for you to save to your hard drive and upload to flickr.
  16. No problem, another opinion is always appreciated. :)

  17. I have an exstensive collection of minifig parts, plus a good camera for taking pictures. Feel free to PM me the details of your desired fig. I'll have it done by tommorrow midday.
  18. Another amazing performance from Jessica Ennis, and Katarina Johnson Thompson too ()! Though I admit I wasn't watching Ennis for most of the race...
  19. With Ainslie, the Hulk-esque speech would have been alright and quite amusing, if he hadn't have lost to the very person he was angry at. I need to learn to read, it seems that Ben's mean and green-ness did get him victory after all. And another two golds for GB, both in the Velodrome! We're now in third place!
  20. Another gold and a bronze for Team GB, putting us up to 4th place in the medal table!
  21. Yes! Yes! Chris Hoy you legend!
  22. Massive congratulations to Anthony Ogogo and Gemma Gibbons, who both took victory from the World Champions in their respective sports. Good job and good luck in the final!
  23. May the Lord praise Bradley Wiggins and his awesome sideburns!
