Haldor was about to reach forward and touch Jess, but he quickly stopped himself. It was all happening so fast, and so wrong. "It isn't like that. I'm not one of them. I don't work for them or do anything that is wrong for them. I haven't even seen them since Donny and the one we found. It's Nur who is with them, I only tried to do what would help. I was wrong, I know, but it is right now. I never gave an oath to join them or do anything, just to let Donny live." Haldor looked imploringly at her, hoping that she would see the truth. "Please, don't turn me into something that I'm not."
-
Haldor thought to himself, and raised his gaze high enough to answer the questions that Jess spoke. "Maybe I never was a goody-two-shoes. I was just trying to do what was right, but now and again I tripped. Nur told us that Donny was right. I'm not blaming my friend, but his morals are slightly lopsided in some cases, and at the time it sounded so true. The Town Watch were corrupt and lawless then, and I musta' thought that the Wolfgang were somehow better. I never acted upon it, until the alleyway. Maybe you were wrong about me, maybe I was always as bad as them." Haldor sighed, and steeled himself to look up into her eyes, waiting to hear what she would say.

I'm definitely going to sign for Quest #38 (How could I resist?), but first I'm going to do a bit of roleplay building up to agreeing to go.

Clearly startled, Haldor shot up and cursed loudly, disorientatedly searching around for the mystery appearance. "Where the bloody hell did you come from?! Wait, what?" As his vision cleared and the scene ahead materialised, Haldor immeadiately planted himself down again and resumed his firm staring at the dirt-trodden floorboards. She was sat on a stool accross from him, her mane of dark hair the ever-flowing river that partly obscured the face that he knew so well. The Nord did his best to avoid the view of the two crystal blue gems that shone so brightly, his insides melting into jelly. It struck him suddenly as to how much he missed her, although they had been near for a while, and all words were lost to him. "Oh, hello. Well, um how are you? I, I'm sorry." Awkward silence ensues.

Haldor's eyes never left the oak doors while he sat there and waited. He'd had a lot of practice at waiting, as ever patience was imperative in the tasks that were required. But the time passed since he'd last spoken to Jess only cemented any fears that hung in Haldor's mind. Not wishing to remove himself from his own misery in conversation, the Nord barely even touching the neglected alcohol resting invitingly upon the bar. When she came, he would be sober and prepared. There was very little left of the bond between them, but after the less than pleasant events of the quest, the bond was fraying. Haldor was tired now, worn with stress and worry. She had to get here soon.

Saw Super 8. I don't really know what to think, it was quite interesting at parts and had an overall good story. But the ending was quite weak (It was hardly explained why the creature was even there or why it didn't escape years ago) and it was full of cheesy American kids with their shabby camera work.

I don't know if you are joking, but a fourth movie called 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' was made a few years ago to finally conclude the series. Featuring an older Harrison Ford and others. I know the film gets a lot of hate, but I thought it very good.

I agree, you never disappoint. Your style is also unique in the fact that you occassionally include the players in your pictures, an added bonus that really increases the asthetic appeal of your quest.

Haldor tried his best to ignore the irritant that is Finnegan, who happened to be the last thing in the world that he needed. "Okay, fine. Next time she comes through that door I'll go over; if she isn't practicing her stealth technique. Sitting here drinking my head off isn't going to help anybody, oh and try not to start anymore fights while we are talking." And thus he sat, and he waited, and he waited.

How weird is that? I happened to discover these legends yesterday on youtube, this one is my favourite that I found. Funny how great minds think alike. My friends and I decided to make a playlist of Youtube of the 30 most epic songs we could find. If anyone cares then they can follow my list named 'Things to listen to' by ScorpioxUK. I can say that we found a lot of good stuff to put in there.

"Thank you friend, at least I still have the gawky mage and his aura to rely upon."Haldor managed a grim smile, but it ended up appearing as a grimace. "The matter is most delicate, but I know that I can trust you to understand and hopefully not just make snide remarks constantly. Concerning her. Stuff happened while we were away, and she musta' discovered that I'm not the man she thought I was. I was too blind acting the hero to notice, but by now my not-so bright decisions have scarred the love between us. Hell, I just don't know what to do anymore."

Haldor did his best to look up at Althior, who seemed to be having a little disagreement with Alexis. "Hail friend. I hope that life has been kinder to you than it has to me since we last met. This stuff is the only kindness that I can get." The Nord, even after consuming large quantities of booze, seemed just as worn and sad as before. Where even was she? The fact that she must have gone back to the inn alone made him sure that she was avoiding him as much as possible. Haldor turned back to Althior, resisting the urge to chug down some more wine. "Maybe you can help me."
-
Haldor sighed again, then took a long draught of wine. "She hates me, you know it's true Lawrence. After all we have been through, she can't stand the sight of me. What do I do Boomingham? I feel like we're all on the steady slope downwards now. Guts, you know anything about women? It was the Wolfgang that did it. I didn't want it to happen that way, but we all have weaknesses, I guess mine is that I was too stupid to see." Haldor took another slug of the sweet alcohol, hoping that it would offer a refuge from the harsh reality.
-
"I never forget anyone that I have met, I should know, I've met very few people. You have a new face, Guts Holla. Do not blame yourself for our quarrel, much did cloud my mind then, and even worse now. I don't even remember much of it anyway. What is it that you wish to speak of?" Haldor was tired and battered, much had passed in such a small time that it was a struggle to all understand. Not even his friends could provide solace. He turned his head as Lawrence sauntered over. Smiling weakly, he spoke again. "Yes, I need something potent. Maybe you can help me as well."
-
Haldor laughed. "What sort of Nord would I be if I didn't? Please sit." He then sighed, a worn and forlorn look on his face. "I trust that there is no cause for us to fight? I've seen far to much of this city and its true face lately to give a damn anymore."

Haldor made the walk back from Szalinski by himself, not wanting to get involved in a deep conversation. It seemed an age until his eyes rested upon the familiar doors of the hall that had been his home for so long now. Sitting down further from his friends, he gladly accepted the gold that Bartholemew had given him from the gnome. To all who would listen, he spoke. "I know we did the right thing, stopping Bluehood. What he was doing would completely upset the balance in the city, that we could not allow. Yet I still feel as though I am missing a part of me."

"Yeah, something like that. Tell Ameli that Haldor still regrets. My best wishes to your family sir." He turned to leave, back to the hall with his friends it would be. -
I really loved the quest WBD, and as always the pictures were exceptional. You models really added a nice flair to the storyline with the great images that clearly displayed the scenes. The plot was intriguing and the characters enthrallinging, thanks for letting me be part of this one.

"Thank you Mister Szalinski, it is once again an honour to have served you. I am glad that I was here to help when it all happened, and now I hope that I have done more to repay the deep debt that I owe you. How are you keeping sir? I pray that your family remain safe and that your daughter will not fret or care over me any longer. I just wish to move on. Thank you again sir." Haldor forced a smile. It was all done now, and they had managed to overcome opposition and triumph again. But much was still left undone. As he turned, his eyes briefly locked with those of Jess. The Nord's insides seemed to wrench as he thought of all that had passed in the time of their quest. The dark heart of Eubric was vastly different than anyone knew, but Haldor knew that at least one force set to change had been vanquished. But the Norseman knew that his love was the final casulty of their battle, and he hoped to the gods that it could be mended. Thanks for the exciting and brilliant quest WBD! -
Heroica RPG - Quest #28: The Breakthrough

Bluehood fell down, as he had to, as all villains eventually do. But the conquest of his foe had not spelt the new dawn that Haldor had hoped. The death had just happened, and then passed, as though nothing had changed. One dark plan was foiled, but in the streets there was still the same scum residing its chokehold over the city. The Nord solemly crossed over to the dead man, closing his eyes and crossed his arms accross his chest; removing a few of Docken's arrows that remained stuck. There was nothing more to say. Flinching at the way Nur treated Jess, he forced himself to speak. "I will take the aquamarine, if others do not wish to take the object of a man such as Bluehood. I shall take it then." As he leant down to take the small gem, Haldor felt a pang of sadness strike through him, as the loss was brought back to him.It still baffles me, how all this magic is contained in such a small shell. Pure and crystal blue, bright, priceless. Like something else that I treasure. Casting a sidelong glance, Haldor hoped that Jess would notice what he had meant. He couldn't bear to go on like this. "How on earth did you hide all that underneath your bandana, I didn't even notice you had a beard! Going for the 'I've lived in a cave for twenty years' look are we Nur? Seems you have found other uses for your earthen magic, well either that or you're looking for yet more ways to give yourself an unfair edge with rocky fists. You never fail to surprise me." -
You're right.

"Who is laughing now, fiend?" The Nord raised himself to an offensive stance, where he charged with a renewed ferocity, and set upon the monstrous crook before him like an animal. The once-wise mage was now only a shadow of what he had been before, twisted with the gift that he had inflicted on himself. Raining blow after blow, Haldor struck with all sense of his pent rage and sorrows of what had came about due to this one man. Belthazar Bluehood, from the front row.
