  1. Hypocrite. Sorry, I've forgotten who it was who did just that against Shadeux.
  2. So a level one rat can pierce a SP:567456 shield to cause one damage? Doesn't seem balanced to me, and what if our tank only had 1 health left, so he gets KO'd by a level one rat? Even with his SP:567456 shield, there is nothing that he can do? So a level 50 Mime can be slain by any old swarmer if his health is low, doesn't that defeat the actual point of SP?
  3. Haldor let himself in through a back door, and carved a path to his usual seat. There was little to do these days, not until the heroes set to return to Haddon would leave, and Haldor knew that he had to go back. It was the place that he nearly lost himself, he had to go back. But he didn't stay to ponder for long as once he had reached the bar, the Nord turned, to be greeted by the unforgettably large shape of an ogre. "Skrall! I haven't seen you in a bloody long time. How have you been, my old friend?" As the Norseman spoke, he though that he saw a strangely familiar black, impossibly black object flash before his eyes. No, it couldn't be, not Wren! How could she have been there, how? But of course she was agent of chaos, and where chaos was, the witch would be there.
  4. Haldor laughed. "Ha, when did I ever say that I was repulsed, or scared, or that I took a dislike to you? I'm sorry, you must get it a lot, but I have seen many bad things in my time, and I have learnt that appearances matter very little. Abomination is a strong word, but if that is how you see yourself, I doubt very little that I can disuade you. But you can still drink, hmm?" The Nord laughed again, before waving for a few mugs of ale. "Split personality, it is more common than you or I would think, but I know nothing of the mind, you ought to see a specialist about that one, but I'll help in anyway I can. You might as well call me Haldor, from up North, slinging the hooks for thirty years. Believe it or not you aren't the first undead that I've seen in these parts, but I'm not going to say you are any less welcome than any other man, because of your 'condition'. Good to meet you, Sorrow." Haldor smiled, and sat himself down, before addressing the other man. "So who is your friend here, and how have your quests been turning out?"
  5. Sometimes I forget that it was Cronk who 'decided to name him' Phil.
  6. In the corner of the hall, content with his mead and his own company, sat a Nord. He was in good spirits these last few days, as he had saved a friend and made a few revalations. Jess was slaying beasts on a farm, and most of his comrades were otherwise engaged. Haldor briefly wondered of how the foreign conquests in Dastan had panned out, whether his friends had prevailed, whether their goal was achieved. But all was well in his world, and there was nothing that he could do. The Nord, over the edge of his tankard, spied a frail-looking cloaked figure, who was conversing with a loud peculiar man. Intrigued, Haldor pushed aside his table and approached. "Har, friend. I do not think that I have not met you two before, life been kind for you here?" As the smaller figure turned, Haldor saw his horrific and scarred visage, but withheld his revulsion and shock out of politeness. "Well, I wasn't expecting that, have you fallen victim to some great danger on your quests, is there anything that a Shaman could do to help a fellow member of of 'the club'? I apologise, I never asked your name The Norseman inclined his head to the other man, who was breathing heavily and carried a strange glint in his eye. "And you, what may I call you by? How have your recent escapades been?
  7. I so hope that there is a level 500,000,000 CHICKEN OF DOOM with a special that instantly KOs the entire party.
  8. A word of warning: if you haven't claimed your reward yet, it isn't nearly over. Have you ever seen those movies? Just when you're sure that the war is won, there is always one final, much bigger and more perilous, battle to come. Ever heard the saying 'Out of the frying pan, and into the fire'?
  9. The climax to Dastan was satisfyingly bloodthirsty, I hope there are still more oppertunities for death and pain, that is always very exciting.
  10. The Matrix. I thought it good, and the premise reminded me of Terminator. Looking forward to watching the rest of the trilogy.
  11. I hope you don't mean a physical arrow, that won't fix anything at all.
  12. I'm tempted to give Haldor that hair, just to join the club.
  13. While that may be, his style certainly isn't what I would describe as 'British music'. The whole rap thing is a very American concept, so in my opinion, a display that attempts to show the Best of British music, would be better off celebrating genres and types that we as a Nation have taken to heart. The crowd in the stadium roared with joy the instant that great musicians such as John Lennon and classic songs like Bohemian Rhapsody were played, showing just exactly what our public loves and thinks that our music is. Songs that are recognisable and world-famous, and really reflect what we can do well. It took just under 0.3 seconds for the whole of the viewing world to acknowledge Brian May's guitar and the the drums of 'We Will Rock You' , and that says everything. So As 'cool' as Tinie may be, he doesn't really cut the mustard with his talking-to-the-music, it just isn't the same, in my view. On another note, as nice as the Bowie tribute was, it would have been good to play a complete song, seeing as his songs are some of the best written rock pieces of all time. How about the timeless 'Space Oddity', or the deep and meaningful 'Life on Mars?'?
  14. The Fields of Glory are looking really nice, Sandy. At some point Nur, Skrall and Haldor will have to go on a warpath, for old time's sake.
  15. Yeah, I think Coldplay have made a big enough contribution to music to be in there, at least a track being played would have been good. As for Paul McCartney, well, it is possible to have too much of a good thing. I think that we got just about enough of him in the opening ceremony. On a more serious note, I thought that the John Lennon and Freddie Mercury tributes were very exciting. It is lovely to see the crowd erupt at the glimpse of a yellow jacket. But I don't see why George 'I'm Stoned' Michael got to sing two songs, where most only got one, I guess they were just trying to prevent him from returning to the bathroom with his syringe. Because we were the host nation, there is always high expectation of doing really well. I think that 3rd place is a great achievement, the highest that we can realistically reach, behind the immoveable US and China.
  16. The closing ceremony was brilliant, absolutely stunning. The only flaw in the whole thing was letting Tinie Tempah or what ever his name is pick up a mic, but that issue was rectified well by Eric Idle and the remains of Queen. Shame that David Bowie didn't get enough time, but the overall spectacle was amazing. For the most part, it was a great cellebration of British music, and it was awesome to see Madness back again, I love that band. We make such good music in this country. While they lasted the games were a real show by Great Britain, and I think we pulled it off really well. Thoughts and ideas, anyone?
  17. It is a shame to see the Olympics coming to a close, but I believe that we've hosted a great games here in London. The big media scares that were predicted never turned out to be true. With all the expectation on the host team, I think that we did really well, and certainly performed to a high standard. Thoughts? I'm hoping that the closing ceremony will do our home games justice.
  18. Rocky II. A classic film, worth watching for entertainment value. In parts though, the film was so bad that it was good. One has to love good 'ol Rocky's technique, called 'stand-there-with-my-arms-down-and-let-him-hit-me', but it was alright for him of course, because large-screen viewing reveals that none of the punches even connected! Oh, and I couldn't understand a word that Stallone said througout the movie.
  19. I can imagine that, and I really want to see it. Cronk trying to give hugs to Barkley, while the latter employs some choice language. Reminds me of Luc Aragon's famous and deadly wolf, which everybody's favourite Orc preceded to call 'a puppy'.
  20. Don't worry kiddies, a new photo is coming soon! It is just unfortunate that my iPhone can't set pictures. :(

  21. Somebody is very pleased.
  22. Ironically, I'm staying in Yorkshire at the moment, and the local news is certainly reminding me about how many medalists have come from the area.
  23. Woah, I have no idea what appears to be going on between Haldor and Fabian.
  24. A big Norseman came strolling casually down the marketplace, looking out for a particular stall. Once he had located it. the Nord called out with a cheery greeting. "Har, Fabian, I return again! Trade been good? I find myself in need of something more, think that you can provide?" Haldor rumaged around in the Elf's goods for a little bit, before finding what he was looking for, some big gear that he knew he could put to good use. "Yes, these Pugilist's Gloves will do just nicely. 80 gold pieces, just for you. Good to be buying from you again, your services always manage to please. I'll be sure to make good use of these, and I will be happy to visit your shop again if I ever feel the need for your unique trading experience at a later date. Goodbye and fair luck, brother." Haldor departed from Fabian's magical shop with some shiny new items and and a lack of gold, while the Elf was good, he sure wasn't cheap.
  25. Haldor laughed, and gave Althior a pat on the back, which unfortunately caused him to stumble and nearly fall. "Ha, I knew that you would see in the end. I'm not going any way, and I will await your return, It is good to have you back, comrade. We'll get you sorted out in no time." And then, the weakened but none the less spirited Sage departed the hall, promising to return. The Nord found himself suddenly in possession of two halves of a broken cane, and looked around awkwardly, before tossing them in a hearth fire. But sadly, all was not yet rosy, as Alexis was still misguided, and Elpis was nowhere to be seen. But at least Jess was being looked after. Haldor decided to make a brief trip to the marketplace, in search of more equipment to prepare him for the future.
